I have to wonder if it's just easier that way for intrepid heroes who work inside Lego to sneak out Space minifigs. Slip out the torsos via BAM, then the other parts via random sets. We're getting trans yellow windscreens in SW this year too. I'm sure that's part of it but at this point they definitely know what they're doing. Like why do they never sneak in a helmet or air tanks in like a 20 quid city boat or something. Quote

I was able to get the purple helmet and air tank off Bricklink after the prices became close to reasonable. If these new parts ever hit PAB, they won't be expensive to get. Hopefully that's part of the "plan" too. Not sure if it's news to anyone, but the 2025 City Advent Calendar has a Classic Space Christmas sweater. Quote

Hopefully next year, Light bluish gray helmets and tanks show up. Not saying no to that, although I’ve already spent a fortune hunting down light gray helmets and air tanks! 5 hours ago, danth said: True. The bright light blue was supposed to come out with part transparent parts. 4 hours ago, Renny The Spaceman said: I do wish they would do fewer. bdw Posted July 23 Posted July 23 I understand many people want to collect Space People as 1 color each. But I like to mix and match as I've mentioned before. I wasn't that interested in the light blue torso until now. Goes well with orange arms and airtanks (which are easy to find). So now I need to go buy a few of these torsos Quote

They know fans are dedicated buy the most ridiculous things just for the figure, or now parts to make a figure. We would not get a Benny's Space Squad today, they'd have randomly put the pink one in the expensive, microscale castle or something and not remake the others Quote

RichardGoring Posted August 18 Posted August 18 It's a shame they don't do minifigures with the upscaled models anymore so we can get a non-Benny blue torso. Quote

Khargeust Posted August 18 Posted August 18 "Upscaled" ? Does it mean that it would not be in the same style as the red and white classic spacemen from the 10497 Galaxy Explorer ? Quote

They don't typically do that though? Expensive elements are reintroduced semi-regularly that tank secondary market prices for them. They rereleased the red and white ones with 10497, so why not blue now. Although they don't do minifigures with these characters since the first, so it's unlikely anyway. 5 minutes ago, Khargeust said: "Upscaled" ? jonwil Posted August 18 Posted August 18 It's possible the up-scaled space guy is going to be similar to this https://brickset.com/sets/40819-1/Up-Scaled-Racing-Driver-Minifigure Quote

danth Posted August 19 Posted August 19 (edited) I loved the head cockpit gimmick in 40649. Hopefully we'll get some sort of cool surprise in the Space version. Edited August 19 by danth Quote

Absolutely not, I own the basic upscaled minifigure and it's arm connections are weak, they could not stand the weight of the baby build Quote
danth Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Not news about new sets, but an old Blacktron 2 prototype. I won't spoil it, just give it a watch! For the impatient, you can skip to about 3:30. Edited 6 hours ago by danth Quote
GeoBrick Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Thanks for sharing! Changing out the white parts (to yellow for instance) goes a long way to make the design in line with Blacktron I. Quote
