When those themes will be released? Is it NEW in-house theme after Dreamzzz...?

'B' is scheduled for June, 'Lollipop' for August, and 'P' is still unknown. They're all licensed. They wouldn't introduce a new in-house theme with so few sets, now would they

Been doing some digging, and 72306 (theme 'P') has flown under the radar since Stonewars had it listed as a set for a while now! The only details they provide is that it belongs to "Games" and is released in October. Could be an assumption on their end based on the number range, but we'll see. If it 's indeed based on a game, it has to be a new theme! :excited:

Yes, if a company gives a license to another company, that means they control them  You do realise that TLG also work very closely with WB, Netflix, and Universal, who are all Disney’s competitors?

You might as well argue that WB control TLG (DC instead of a generic Superhero theme, LotR instead of Castle, Harry Potter instead of generic wizardry, Dune instead of an obscure scifi license), that Universal does (Jurassic World vs generic dino theme), or that Netflix is in charge (One Piece instead of generic pirates, Stranger Things and Wednesday instead of a generic spooky theme). Speed Champions is a funny example too considering none of the other licensed cars so far are based on a Disney IP (F&F, F1 the Movie, BTTF, 007 are either owned by Universal, WB, or MGM). Nintendo also have multiple license agreements with TLG, so I guess they control them too :laugh_hard:

Dayum, TLG must be tearing at the seams, being controlled by all these companies! :snicker:

Seriously though: TLG are only controlled by themselves, not even shareholders since they‘re family-owned. They pick and choose who they collaborate with. There is no Didney conspiracy going on, they‘ve been successfully collaborating for literal decades at this point.

Some news form Brick Tap / @TandNbricks:

Theme codenamed "P":

  • 72306, $159.99

Theme codenamed "B" (the one we've known about since August)

  • 72421, 12+
  • 72422, 12+
  • 72423, 18+,  $119.99

Codename "Lollipop"

  • 72537 $69.99

It's a mix of new and returning IPs! One of them has to be K-Pop Demon Hunters for sure. I'm probably getting ahead of myself again, but the returning IP has to be SpongeBob, right?? Not many other options, and combined with the competitor's license having ended... Watch it be Power Puff Girls or another smaller theme and crush my dreams :laugh_hard:

Although the info from Brick tap has those prices and set numbers, those may change/adjust. But regarding the IPs, I personally also think Lollipop is Kpop. Not confirming that, it's purely a guess from me on that one.

Thanks for the clarification! Yeah, „Lollipop“  being KPDH is very likely. „P“ seems to be a videogame IP and the issue with „B“ is how early we‘ve known about those set numbers. While KPDH was an instant hit, I doubt Netflix and TLG signed a deal so quickly that they already had set ideas ready only two months later, set numbers and all

That said, I kinda wish it was “B” instead since that theme has an 18+ set, meaning there’d be minifig potential. As is, KPDH will likely be a minidoll-only theme like Wednesday. Depending on what “B” actually is, I might eat those words tho :snicker:

I mean, can we entirely rule out that none of these are K-Pop Demon Hunters, and whatever sets that franchise is getting aren’t coming later than these and haven’t gotten leaks yet?

There are still sets we know must be coming that don’t have numbers yet (the Doomsday sets and the autumn D2C for SW), but another entire theme? That notion cannot entirely be ruled out, but it seems unlikely that yet another new theme is still hiding somewhere :snicker:

Huh?

While Digimon was really a thing when I was young (the first generation series came out then) my question was if that still is a thing nowadays. I made a quick search and it seems the last series was 2023, so at least the theme isn´t completely dead, but while you see Franchises like Pokemon or Jurassic Park everywhere in toy shops, I can´t really remember seeing Digimon merch anywhere, hence my question how popular it still is nowadays.

I was confused by your question. I’d course, it’s an existing franchise since 1999.  I was not sure if you were asking that a Digimon theme would be a thing for Lego to produce.  If course, Digimon is an exploring franchise ever since 1999.

I’m still a bit baffled by the codenames. We’ve had Leaf (Mario), Titan (Dreamzzz), Coconut (Avatar), Pineapple (Indy), Lemon (Sonic), Sparkle (Gabby’s Dollhouse), and Lollipop (?), among others, and then…. B and P :laugh_hard: Did they run out of ideas?!

Fingers crossed we’ll soon learn what the 3 new themes actually are! The toy fairs currently going on would be a good opportunity to announce one or two of the new (and old) partnerships!

If one of these themes is Avatar: The Last Airbender I’d be so happy. It’d tie in nicely with Season 2 of the Netflix show and the Legend of Aang film later this year (I still can’t believe it was decided to relegate the movie to streaming only with no theatrical release!).

Considering the focus of the series lies solely on the first three movies, I suppose the alleged sets will be based on the fifth movie and thus come out next year? :shrug_oh_well: Or they might start with a wave based on the first four movies this year, in which case there would be significant overlap with the series, unless they’re mostly variants!

I mean the only main characters we’re missing are Fiona’s parents, Rumpelstilzchen, and Arthur  (I wish The Last Wish got some love too)

Edit: It’s the theme codenamed “B”!! 72423 is a buildable Shrek & Donkey. I opened a separate thread ^^

So that leaves "P" as the returning theme (assuming Lollipop is KPop Demon Hunters) and if it is actually a gaming theme then what could it be? Horizon Forbidden West again?

That’s exactly our current conundrum… If Lollipop is KPDH, which one is the returning gaming theme, assuming Stonewars got it right?  Also, both Lollipop and P only have one set each, not much of a “theme” to be honest! :snicker: Which theme would return with a single set anyway?

I’d totally be down for more of LEGO The Powerpuff Girls! This time, based on the 1998 classic iteration.
