[MOC] VAG BUG

Here's my MOC (rather old, actually) – VAG BUG (vw beetle buggy)

Features & Functions:

Opening doors (with locks), cabin interior with roll cage, v8 fake-engine (operates via M), very soft independent suspension.

PF: 4L (single motor for each wheel), M, servo, 2x LiPo, 2 sbrick, 3x lights.

Fantastic! This has real character to it.

I'm reminded of the old tamiya sand scorcher.

The back view is perfect. Camber angle and stance are brilliant. This is my New favourite rc moc.

Looks really cool! The only thing I dislike is how far the fake engine extends outside of the body, it looks kinda unnatural to me, but, what do I know? Not much about offroad vehicles, that's for sure

I think it’s pretty accurate in terms of when people drop big engines in these they do hang right out the back. 
a scooby engine makes more aesthetic sense but I reckon in the dust and sand a big old v8 will last longer.

It is quite the natural look of such buggies.

Cool model, and the suspension looks to be nicely tuned. Any plans for instuctions?

Did you consider 2x buwizz in place of the LiPo's? Then it'd really fly.

Ye, this video i also used for inspiration. Funny moment, this guy has been arrested for 5 or 6 month due to unsafe driving.

I don't have buwizz, and any plans to buy it. It's out of my rules of purism (sbrick doesn't change performance). But yes, it can be motorized with buwizz, and also, now it will be better to make it with new wheelhubs.

Very nice buggy, i really like the shape and performance.

Have you considered using crawler tires?

 

 

 

 

I also started building VW beetle buggy, but as I was limited only from pieces of 42077 set, it came in little different shape

 

I'm little sad, that you won't think of creating instructions of any kind, but really understand as I know how time consuming it is, I also prefer building insted of modeling/sitting on computer
