legolux1973 Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 (edited) Hello to community, below a small digital MOD / MOC, a redesign of the classic pirates set 6267 Lagoon Lock-Up from 1991. I'm also a bit in the barracuda bay hype, while waiting for the set I played a bit around with the pirates theme and also photoshop. ;-) Maybe you like the redesign. 6267 Lagoon Lock-Up Revisited by legolux1973, on Flickr Edit: I also created building instructions for the MOC, you can download them (PDF File, for free, no registration) at the Webpage of my local RLUG under the below URL: http://afol.lu/afol52/filebase/index.php?file/51-6267-lagoon-lock-up-revisited/ If you like the MOC and/or the Instructions I would be really happy if you would vote for my LEGO Ideas Project Queen Elizabeth II at the LEGO Ideas Website: https://bit.ly/legoqueenelizabeth I would really appreciate. :-) Happy Building. :-) Stay safe and healthy, legolux1973 Edited September 30, 2022 by legolux1973 Added Instructions to the Header and post. Updated link to instructions. Quote
Brickander Brickumnus Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 (edited) It's absolutely amazing! So simple and small, yet so rich and lively! Since you have photoshop skills, please make a side by side comparison with the original 6267 Lagoon Lock-Up. This is definitely a great MOC! And a side by side comparison with the original set. Tezclatipoca Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Gorgeous redesign ! It has the good old feeling kept with a quite well rendered modernization to it ! Amazing ! Quote
Fraunces Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Great remake! Love it! I have the original lock up too and this is a very correct modernization. I though of something like this but I can't top this Quote
victorycount Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 (edited) Yeah, that's really nice modernized version. Love almost everything about it, without missing much the old style. Only the sail and Lt. de Martinet's tricorn, but that's after looking at it for ten minutes Edited April 16, 2020 by victorycount Quote
leafan Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 This is a really cool moc, @legolux1973. To me this looks like it could be an official set in a new Pirate line. I know I'd buy it! Quote
TeriXeri Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 (edited) Nice modernized version of a Classic for sure. I still like how they based the ticket booth/entrance to the Pirate Roller Coaster on the Lagoon Lock-up set as well, with the red/blue awning and palmtree at the corner. MichelG Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Very nice work, congratulations! Greetings from Luxembourg. Quote
Beleg the Ranger Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 That would really make a great set! Quote

Indeed, you're right. I never paid attention on this when I built the Coaster together with my daughter. Regards, legolux1973 Edited April 23, 2020 by legolux1973 Quote
SteamSewnEmpire Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 Any thought on selling instructions? Because I would buy. Quote
Raziel-117 Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Wow! I like the new design! That is pure nostalgia! I also plan to replace some old sets myself. I feel like you All thanks to the Baracuda! Quote
legolux1973 Posted May 1, 2020 Author Posted May 1, 2020 Hello. @SteamSewnEmpire Yesterday I finished the building instructions for the MOC. You can download them for free at: https://bit.ly/revisited6267 @Plate @Raziel-117 Thank you very much for your feedback. Yes, it's the typical nostalgia, but it's however nice to travel back to childhood (even if I missed all the Pirates Stuff due to the dark ages.) :-) Regards, legolux1973 Quote
Raziel-117 Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Cool! I downloaded the instructions right away And yes, lego should finally release pirate sets (and castle) again^^ Quote

You don't happen to have an XML fire for it that's good to go for Brinklink, do you? Quote

Ah ok, that's a good reason, I was so blinded by the beauty that I didn't even realize it was from stud.io. Well done Quote
Greycoat Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 This is really nice. I love the transparent blue parts over other colours for the water. Quote
