AverageDerp Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 (edited) my setup (imgur) I just made an RC lego tank using lego technic, but when driving it's slightly turning to one side, everything is aligned properly and the center mass is correct, Could it be because one of the motors needs poles reversed to make the tank drive forwards? please help. Maaboo the Witch Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 Try changing the polarity on the remote for one motor (the small black switches on the handset do this for you). If that isn't the issue, it might be that one motor is not working correctly. Test both. Also, some motors are stronger or faster than others since no two are absolutely identical in performance. Remember that as well. Quote
allanp Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 If you had a black direction switch set incorrectly the model would just turn on the spot. If you have checked that everything moves freely (including all the track links) then, as maaboo35 said, you might might have two slightly different strength motors. Try swapping them round to see if the model starts turning slightly the other way. Quote
msk6003 Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 (edited) It's impossable to go straight without subtractor in tank model. All DC motor(include lego's motor) has slightly different spec even made in same factory. Your problem come because this. Even two motor looks same speed, but still slightly different. (difference is very little but enough to turn slightly one side.) Edited December 8, 2019 by msk6003 Quote
