Love the fact we got a bunch of hobbits I see Rosie and some proud feet.  I think it looks good, love the new prints for repeat characters.  Day one buy for me (hopefully they don’t run out of gwp too fast).

It looks terrific and I will definitely get it. The addition of the birthday party scenes is great and adds a lot, although I agree that the tree behind the stage is odd. I wonder if it's to accommodate a play feature to make Bilbo disappear, but I can't really see how?

The details look terrific. I really like the business of the surroundings of Bag End and how it all flows together.

Slight disappointment in that in comparison to the rest of it, Gandalf looks pretty dated with that hat mould and would fit so much better with a new hat/hair combo.

Also, despite there being nine figures, pretty much all new, with the party scenes it really could have done with another two or three generic hobbits to fill it a bit. I wonder if they'll include any in a GWP, and then hopefully have the torsos widely available on PAB.

Looking forward to seeing more. Finding it amusing that LEGO has leaked it themselves, while also telling everyone they can't show photos of sets revealed by retailers, let alone leaked images!

A curious choice of scene, and somewhat dark!

Agree. A big “choke” if this is truly the GWP. (Pun intended)

Okay, but who? There's a lot of untrustworthy leakers on there.

EDIT: It's from LSWSA - I'm not familiar with them, so I'm taking it with a grain of salt.

It's apparently minifig-based and has 181 pieces.

Do we have a confirmed price for this set yet?  It looks great in the picture.  At least I have no interest in anymore CMF series this year so that money is freed up for other purchases.

I haven’t seen it anywhere else yet either.  That would be a cool gwp, it doesn’t really fit the set, but that scene is really a stand alone anyway, and getting two new characters is awesome.

I love the set, and am happy with the minifigures.  I also can’t believe that we could potentially be getting Rosie, the proud feet, Sméagol and Deagol before Eowyn, the witch king, or faramir (or any Gondor).  Crazy to think about but not complaining about the set, it is great, the price is good, the minifigure count is spot on and the selection was right ($22 per minifigure).

I am also hoping we will get some torsos and legs in pick a brick to build a few extra hobbits (especially Sméagol and deagol prints).

Judging by the height of the barrels behind Bilbo, and what appears to be a circular plate beneath him, I will wager one all-powerful ring forged in the fires of mount Doom that there is a playfeature built into that side build that spins his platform and makes him go "invisible"

Set looks great, probably a day one purchase easily.

Looks great, and I do like that they didn´t just include bag end but also some sidebuilds and additional hobbits. Would say minifig selection is good and especially they do look good - aside from Gandalf all torsos seem to be new. Honestly expected the set to be an easy skip, as Bag End wasn´t really something that I was looking for anyways. But it is much better than I expected.

I like the main build but the rest not so much. Without all the invited people to Bilbo’s birthday, the side buildings feel empty and out of place. I wish they just kept it at the main build and make it cheaper. It now feels like they had a price and they thought of things to add to get to that price.

Looks nice.

Not grand or majestic. Just good.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people got what they wished for with this smaller set.

What is the estimate for the width of the main build? Around 48 studs perhaps? Have to work out how much shelf space to reserve! A great set.

If we're getting an image leak like this directly from Lego, I imagine we'll get the official press release with all of the dimensions (and images of the interior) next week sometime.

This is a pretty easy pass for me on first glance.

Although I will steal that fence technique with the boomerangs, that's rather clever indeed.

Mr. and Mrs. Proudfoot which is a huge W!

I always thought it was mother and daughter, but I could be wrong :sceptic:

The GWP should include a big fish right?:shark:

Glad to see the horse return to LOTR:sweet:

I am actually quite surprised that that's their choice for a GWP. Really dark scene, but that's not to say I don't love this choice! Definitely unexpected though. I like how it's connected to the set itself.

i think you're seeing Sam - Merry and Pippin are both in the back under the tent with the grey hair (presumedly sooty from exploding the firework).

Ah yeah, that makes sense. I really need to rewatch the movies / reread the books.

I really hope they have alternate hairpieces though.

Amazing! I was not too excited initially as I already own the previous Bag End (79003), but this one is much more ambitious and includes all the scenes and new hobbits I wanted! Definitely a day one purchase for me again, I would not want to miss the Smeagol and Deagol GWP :-)

And for those still sad we did not get MInas Tirith instead, just be patient, something tells me we will get it next year (I can feel it!)

Maybe I’m in a minority here but I was hoping for a more vibrant color palette. The color palette was one of my favorite aspects of Rivendell, and they managed to do much with little with Barad-dûr as well. This one seems to be mostly the same shade of green. It looks a bit basic color-wise to my eyes unfortunately

I love this set, a shame we don't get proper hobbit hair for Bilbo or a new hat/hair piece for Gandalf though.

Will the gwp be for this set, or on all lotr sets do we know?

Almost certainly just this set - like the Fell Beast was for Barad-Dur.

Looks good to me. Hopefully a smaller £ price as it is smaller than the last 2 ( but TLG's conversion rates are never consistent do who knows)

The sooty exploded Kai hair for Merry and Pip is fun but hopefully they'll also have normal hair as well.

This is a day one purchase for me. I love that they added a decent number of Hobbits. I didn't get Barad-Dur day one because of the lack of minifigures. I still can't get used to Sam having the dark orange hair instead of nougat. I switched Merry and Sam's hair in Rivendell. But that's a minor gripe.

Since I have the other one I will probably pass on this, but it's nice.

A bunch of hobbits as expected, and some extra bits for the party too, as there should be. Reminiscent of the opening area in the game.
