Mr Smith LEGO Models Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 This is a MOC. It is built in scale 1:10. Features: Front wheel drive (L motor) Steering (servo motor) 4 speed sequential gearbox (M motor for changing gears) All wheel working drum brakes (1 M motor for front and 1 for rear wheels) Full independent suspension Openable doors, bonet and trunk (which hides the small battery box) Video: Note that the car is very small (only 35 cm long) so it was quite hard to put all these functions inside. Also recognize in the video that I had to use a special solution with mounting of the differential - because of small scale. The normal solution would be too wide. Quote
Aventador2004 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Nice Trabant! is that your Huayra in your profile? Quote

TechnicRCRacer Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 The chassis of this model is super complex! I am amazed at what a great job you have done! Could you provide pics (or instructions) of the chassis?Very cool! Quote
MattL600 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Woah! Very great work! How did you fit the sequential in there!? Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 Wow... Another great model. I cannot believe there is a sequential gearbox in there... How did you fit it in?! Along with the brakes?! Quote
Mr Smith LEGO Models Posted September 23, 2017 Author Posted September 23, 2017 (edited) The gearbox is between the seats. Edited September 23, 2017 by Mr Smith LEGO Models Quote

Sorry, I am not going to make the instructions, but here you can download at least the LDD model of the front axle (which I have made before to make my building simplier): https://bricksafe.com/pages/Mr.Smith/front-axle Here you can download the 4 speed sequential gearbox: https://bricksafe.com/pages/Mr.Smith/4-speed-sequential-gearbox I hope it will help you to understand how it works. Carsten Svendsen Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 I am impressed by the amount of functions you could fit inside of it while still making it look fantastic. Normally I don't care for car mocs but I think this one stands out a fair bit from the regular race cars that I see all the time. Nice job! Quote
Milan Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 Very hard car to make with bricks, but you pulled it off! And you even included complex front axle! Well done. Quote

Paul Klop Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 Wow, looks very good! The front axle is stunning . Did you know you put the front licence plate upside down? Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 @Mr Smith LEGO Models Thanks for sharing the LDD files! Quote

nerdsforprez Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Wow......terrific job. Love it when others give a shot at uncommon builds. Looks and functions are spot on. Off to now check out the Pagani.... Quote
MAG85 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 This is a really nice Trabant - good job! A view years ago, I had the chance to drive a Trabant. With only 26 HP it was a fun ride. Quote
Boulderer Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Great build! And great to see something other than a "super" car. Quote
mark0 Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Cool. It was very popular in Poland. You can consider combi version with little more space available. Quote
