karrit Posted November 13 Posted November 13 I wish they had given us the retriever mold in more colors rather than just the two, one of which didn't even last a year. I have little use for the ones with the vest. Quote

Fascinating that neither have been produced in black yet, too. Quote

That's why I plan to place an order as soon as possible. I'm tempted to wait for Insider weekend but there are parts I need for a collab I'm working on and I don't want to be waiting months for them. Also there are some on the retirement list I'm hoping to be able to get before they sell out. Quote
williejm Posted November 16 Posted November 16 We are also on tenterhooks waiting to see how they price the Arctic fox in North America after all this @karrit ! Quote

Yeah I screwed up and since the BF torso sold out I missed on getting some more of those before the end of the year unless by some miracle they return before the end of the year Quote

The grossly inflated prices mean you now have to wait for when Lego dictates is the best time to buy and we all have to play the game as to when we are getting double points or that GWP, otherwise we end up overpaying or missing out. If products were priced reasonably there wouldn’t be this problem. Lego influencers also add to the hype and have added to the stress of the hobby in my view. RichardGoring Posted November 17 Posted November 17 OMG! The standard parts list is how available in the US and the Arctic fox is 'only' $5.93! Pigeons are $1.19. Quote
Lion King Posted November 17 Posted November 17 I think I will wait until the hype level is lower in USA when it comes to Arctic fox, pigeon, wolf, etc. Quote

The Arctic fox in the U.K. has been halved in price, to £5.57, which is roughly the same! I’m not just grumpy about the Arctic fox, it’s the whole set-up that got us to the Arctic fox debacle. *** PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT *** guys, check Bricks & Pieces - as well as the fox being halved in price, the same has happened with a whole slew of current animals (sheep, tiger, gorilla, baby seal, turtle, smowl etc). Fill your boots / arks while you can! Quote
williejm Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Also worth noting that, in the past when (animals) had been discounted and become cheap on B&P that this was the precursor to them becoming sold out & no longer available. So there's a good chance the discounted ones are on the way out … Quote

Glad I got in early to redress the balance of my gorilla parts Quote

karrit Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Yup, retiring animals prices are mostly halved. Most of the retiring parts I couldn't get from bestsellers that I was hoping to get as standard are already sold out. The only thing I could have waited on are a few of the animals & all the castle shields. May grab a few more of some of the animals that aren't sold out yet. Out of luck on the space torsos & helmets. Quote
RichardGoring Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Well, placed an order that was far larger than I was expecting to, but half price animals almost makes them reasonably priced! Figured that things would sell out if I left it too late. There were already lots gone, but at the same time, this was all nice to have and anticipating things I might want in the future. Quote
Roebuck Posted November 18 Author Posted November 18 (edited) The autumn garden set has the 2 small birds with new print, 1 squirrel, 1 snail and a frog, better than last one that had 1 butterfly(?) 🙂 Nuthatch and Robin maybe 🤔 Edited November 18 by Roebuck Quote

I think @Roebuck is right with the species (European Robin & Nuthatch). The nuthatch is a wee bit weird given the mould shape, but I’ll take it. Robin looks lovely. Quote

I definitely think they are! Given the position of the sand blue bird in one of the pictures (on the trunk, head towards the ground), I'm with @Roebuck in thinking it's supposed to be a nuthatch.
