Was with the rest of the upcoming parts on display in SFW, so should come this week, however seems like there is a change of plans and several of the parts have been delayed including that one

I would have expected those ones to take a little longer, to be fair. They’ve hardly been out any time, and are clearly the draw of that one set.

As an aside, I am increasingly feeling the pull of *some* of the Friends style animals: first it was the chonky cats, then it was the chonky corgis, and most recently the new chonky pandas and the sweet wee Shetland ponies are rather awesome.

Good to know, thank you. I’m very looking forward for fantasy creatures to show up on PAB at some point! By the way, what is SFW?

Yesss! Come to the dark side where there are cool animals as well! Mwahahahaha! 😂😂

Personally, I love the giraffe and the leopard from Encanto as well. Oh, and the capybara. I might think of a few others after I have my morning coffee.

Mostly, I really hope they will turn up in BAM towers so they're available much more affordably.

Probably our best chance at getting them cheap yes

Could be the same issue as the minifigs so they will show up in January :shrug_oh_well:

Some of these are this year's animals. I wonder why they're retiring so soon. Also, there are two different seagulls? I had no idea..

Set is retiring so the part are going as well..
Only 1 seagull, they just got 2 different numbers..
Some of the animals are up, some are better than expected, and some a lot worse!

Pigeon $ 1.6
Wolf pup $2
Fox $16!!
Friends pony $10!

Worse than that, they don’t show up on USA PAB, i think because of tariffs…

The Shetland ponies I’m glad I already bought on Bricklink

Are there? Some of the animals get resisted but are the same. Does anyone own two different gulls? I would have thought they might redo it in solid plastic but I’ve not seen anyone say that’s the case

The hare is also listed as two separate numbers but I don’t think they vary

I may have just written a strongly-worded email to Lego.

I feel the £11 fox is the figurative straw on this camel’s back. I was already mad at, and offended by, the animals stuck behind the Harry Potter licence paywall.

Given the quality and range of animals we have seen as accessories in CMFs in recent years there can really be no justifiable reason for any small/medium Lego animals to be priced as parts at anything greater than the RRP of a CMF.

I could buy three Wolfpack Beastmaster CMFs in a store for LESS than a single Arctic fox on B&P. Make it make sense.

In the US you can't see any of these new elements, so I can only assume you're all in on a cruel joke at those prices!

I feel your extra level of pain

Also for those who can’t see, the existing wolf hasn’t been included in B&P at all either, despite featuring in the City set. So, y’know, ‘decisions have been made’ at some level to leave that exclusive to a chase CMF or a high value set.

Logically though - had it been priced any lower than the fox it would be madness. So maybe we have just been spared it being listed for £20 a go 🤷🏽‍♂️

I’ve all of sudden decided I don’t need any arctic foxes. They don’t really feature in any planned MOCs any way, particularly as most stuff I want to build has a Paradisa/beach vibe!

I wonder if the arctic train set hasn’t sold as well as they’d hoped (it is ridiculously expensive for what it is) and so making the PAB foxes so expensive, they hope people will resort to buying the set. I was going to buy it when I first saw it but the price has made me realise I don’t really need it.

Getting a bit fed up really - I am at the point where I have enough Lego and not enough space for much more so I will only buy a set if there are sufficient number of useful and desired parts in comparison to the cost. It’s why I like smaller wildlife sets like the crocodiles, sheep tractor and seals.

The only reason that make sense is that it is exclusive to one set and TLG rather want us to buy that set than buy them loose on PAB. After all the PAB team had to fight hard to get the minifigures from the vending machine to PAB at all (I am starting to fear the price on them now) so this might be a much more important reason than I thought in regards to prices on PAB:hmpf:

I hope the pigeon will show up in a lot of sets at least if there is a correlation between what we pay and the designers use of the budget for the part? *huh*

It would be really funny if the BAM team use the fox next year
It seems it has showed up at Legoland Germany for a much more sensible price, but that is not confirmed (just that some German BL sellers have started selling them in higher numbers)..

I mean, the other logic is that they want to drive people to Flego instead 🤷🏽‍♂️

Everyone who are angry about the PaB prices. I feel your pain. More than you know, because PaB isn't available in Turkey and I need to ask my friends who live in Europe/UK to shop there. The shortest waiting time after purchasing is two months for me, so I don't pay extra customs and stuff. So believe me when I say you are luckier than me to be able to shop at PaB, even though the prices are idiotic at this point.

That said, I didn't want to wait for the fox and the pigeon this time. There's this nice shop on BrickLink. The pigeon is more expensive than PaB but the fox is almost half price. So for those who want one badly, I definitely recommend this shop. I also got a Shetland pony from the same store, which seems, again, cheaper than PaB.

I hope this doesn't count as an advertisement since I'm just trying to help people like me. Leaving the store's link below.

Complaint sent by me too, albeit I don’t have a camel because Lego put these behind a licensed set and we haven’t seen them since.

Yikes.

I think the reality for many of us in recent years is that getting hold of parts has become trickier and a lot costlier. Above and beyond the territories not covered by B&P we have the recent confusion over parts to North America (presumably tariff related), who also have to contend with sets sometimes being released later than in Europe.

For us lucky folk in the UK the aftersales market on Bricklink etc is a bit of a nightmare since Brexit - with many stores no longer shipping to UK or costs being ridiculous with taxes.

I think all of that, coupled with many places having difficult times with cost of living, makes the crazy priced B&P just another heavy straw on the camel’s back.

I many of us have spent rather a lot over the years on what are essentially small pieces of plastic, but that cumulatively becomes harder to justify as the prices rise.

*my one hope is that someone at LEGO realises they made a decimal point/ number boo-boo and the foxes are relisted @ £1.12 tomorrow 😆

And i don’t have an ostrich mold because it was placed behind licensed set as well. @willie, you better not hide them out of view….  Come to think, they do look like Duplo to me so I vote for a new mold.

Zomg don’t make me feel guilty - I already helped you out with plenty animals 😘

I LOVE the Lego ostriches. I’ve long thought that the Lego birds were some of the best animals (ostrich, toucan, owls, flamingo, penguin, eagle) and arguably the strongest sub group.

(As it happens I did get a couple of pristine ostriches recently with a view to including them in the Lego animal advent calendars 😬)

Apparently January as a compromise between the PAB team and whoever wanted to keep them out of the service, however only the Space men are confirmed so far:def_shrug:

Sorry to take away your hope, but I know a PAB employee have cheeked it and confirmed the price was right:sad: A wrong price was my initial hope as well, so BL or swapping it is:hmpf:

I made a note to see if the arctic train went on Black Friday sale. Now I will definitely have to! I want a Powdered Up battery box, train motor, and controller, which is $85 separately, and now two arctic foxes are $22. If you break down those parts, the remaining 1500 pieces of the set cost $100, which is a great PPP! :hmpf:

But honestly, if it goes on 25% discount, I might be tempted to get the whole thing.
