Latest news about Lego animal moulds

So I had the Orca parts in my cart but the body disappeared from being in stock.  Placed the order anyway & it appears to have gone through, hopefully I get them.  Now I'm going to go order a bunch of Polar Bears & Polar Cubs.

Yeah I had the orca body and jaw in my cart earlier, but it bugged at some point and the body now shows as out of stock. I might have to wait until the next restock for that one

If they are still showing in your cart you might want to try moving it to your bag.  That's what I did and I've since received an order confirmation.  Hoping the parts were held until I completed the order or they'll fill the order when they restock.  That order was split with just the Orca parts as standard parts and everything else was bestsellers.  

Missed out on the polar cubs & baby seals so hopefully those restock soon.  I see a lot of small PAB orders in the near future as stuff comes available.

They should have put a limit of say 20 animals per order then they still would be in stock, most people just want 1-2, some of us here maybe 10-20, but only resellers buy 999

I still have the juveniles in my cart, would be excellent if it is possible to fill the cart over a couple of weeks again regardless if the parts are in stock when you place the order just when you add them in the cart Will see in some more animals come in stock today so I can place an order

I sent a mail to CS this morning about some of the prices that seem plain wrong:
-Turtle 6440967 cost 49,05 NOK, the same turtle just in a different color cost 18,19 nok last year!
-The Orca jaw part 6424567 cost 57,16 NOK for a rather small part without any printing!
-And why do Element 6434775 SHARK, HEAD, NO. 9 cost almost 3 times as much as Element 6434820 SHARK, JAW, NO. 5?

I did it last year for the cow and shortly after it was reduced in price, do not know if they where related, but can not do any harm to try

Did not work for me unfortunate, when I added the bag to the cart the animals where removed

The order I placed that was mostly bestsellers & two each of the Orca parts is now showing the Orca Parts as backordered..  So looks like I should eventually be getting them hopefully.  I purposely removed all the other standard parts from the order.  Will have to wait for the other animals to come back in stock now.

The response I received is that the prices you can see on Pick a Brick for all the items you mentioned are correct. Sometimes we have to raise our prices based on a range of different factors, so it's possible that you have seen similar items with a different price before. It also works the other way around, and the prices go down from time to time :)"

If they sell out of stock on day one of release, there is very little incentive to lower the price. It suggests they should increase it even!

Yes we can blame ourself for buying like crazy, however they are becoming more generous with GWP so I assume the sale is not going as well as it used to

Am I too late? I don’t see polar bears, cubs, seals, pups, big turtles, and orcas on the PAB website.

Well the time before christmas usually is one where they try to get more stuff sold. Many old sets expire, you have black friday and other shopping events and so on. Aside from that, obviously sales aren´t going to go as good as they did. People have less money to spend now, as things got more expensive.

It will differ by region, but where I am it seems they've already sold out of a lot of the new animals. I still see the adult polar bear, adult seal, stingray, regular sharks, and both turtles. I think the orca lasted about 2 hours on the site

I’m from North Ameirca as well. I did everything to try and see if they are displayed on the PAB webpage, including “Out of Stock”. Nothing showed up, strange. No adult bears and seals visible as well. So I gave up on PAB system.

That's a shame, I hope they get it sorted soon for everyone's sake. You'd think Lego would better anticipate demand of certain pieces, or at least place limits on them to make sure more people can pick up their 1 or 2.

Fair point, but I think there is a very different audience for Pick a Brick (and PAB animals specifically) compared to general sets available in retail stores.

I long ago learned not to need anything immediately, and that it was generally OK to wait. As long as they bring them back into stock at some point it will be fine.

If you sort by new elements or just search by the element number and they will show, however you must wait for a restock for most of them now..

Yes, my plan is to wait for a even better GWP and hope they are in stock then

Ah ok thanks! I’m not a huge fan of the new PAB system myself but I will try that way, thanks for a tip! Nah, I don’t need to wait - I managed to add baby seal and bear molds to my order wen they are on backorder.  As soon as they are re-stocked they will ship my order. I will deal with big turtle later.

Phew the polar bears are still in stock here in the UK! 
 

Also some of the animals and animal parts don’t have pictures on the bricks and pieces, anyone else found that?

Well we still have to see if the goat is even in there. It does seem likely to me, that they really bring her back, but you never know.

I just caught the lego orca in my fishing net today! He is okay! I lov that orca mold so much. 

I’m little surprised to see the orca’s size slightly larger than the great white shark’s

Talking of the Great White - I see the body on PAB, but no listing for the head?
