I swapped Belville horses and some other stuff with the PAB team and got a decent pack of wolves  (in addition a managed to find a few CMF ones)..

They have been at SFW the last 3? years giving talks and having a stand where visitors can ask them questions and look at upcoming PAB parts. They have brought with them animals they give to people coming to their talk or their stand and maybe if you have something to swap they might do that as well

So to date, the only new or new-ish real-life animals for 2026 are:

pug (new mould)

black pig (recolor)

white pigeon (recolor)

I know there was the Pegasus (HP) also based on the regular horse, but I don't believe there has ever been an adult unicorn?

One of the things with ‘fantasy’ creatures is that they can be pretty variable, depending on the source material. Unicorns for example are in some cases basically ‘a horse + horn’, whereas in others they’re smaller and more goat-like, even with cloven hooves. 

I don’t recall unicorns featuring much in HP - other than I think a dead one in the forest. Maybe in the Lego fantasy realm the unicorn ‘foal’ and indeed the Pegasus ‘foals’ are representing normal/ adult animals. Junior -ized, sure, but totally in keeping with the My Little Pony world, for example.

Speaking of which, since they and the white pigeon were in January sets they're probably due to become available on Pick-a-Brick in the next update.

My bet is on the robin being ridiculously priced, as they know it will be in demand.

Ideas are not the best place to get animals because of the low budget, but some of the sets that was approved yesterday might have some:

@Roebuck, duh me! I do have this year’s modular nursing set but  I havne’t built it yet. I ever dind’t notice that pigeon was white! I kinda wish it has pupil / white dots on pigeon’s soulless eyes.  But its nice to have a new color for pigeon tho!

i think I will plan to order 3 white pigeons, two robins and three bird-something from  Autumn Cottage Garden set.  As elegant as I will order crytsal foxes from DreamZzz (of course, it will be useless to anyone but I want to colelct them!).

I wonder whether the National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation set might include Eddie's pet Rottweiler? I'm not sure whether any of the existing dog molds would be ideal for that breed, but it's possible that between now and whenever the set is finalized a suitable one might be introduced.

I know dog breeds and other pets aren't everyone's favorite kind of new animal molds (compared to wildlife), but I love the variety they can offer especially for urban/populated settings.

They could recolour the existing mastiff mould for this quite well, I think

If it's a old mould it should be no problem, it there is something that seem it will be in a upcoming set I would be more cautious. Is a link allowed here? Seen other do that but not up do date about the leak rules

I am pretty sure I found a picture somewhere online and posted it here some years ago, I believe that was before the AI became normal? But I can not find it with the search here

That was a old type of mould so 20-30 year old if it was real..

Edit. Found the picture now and that is probably AI yes! Rather frustrating I do not find the other picture

I sitll can’t believe we havne’t gotten rhino, giraffe, hippo, and zebra in Lego City yet! We only got monkey, maned lion, lion cub, elephant, elephant calf, African eagle, rock head python. Although, I’m kidna dreaded to see rhino, giraffe, and hippo suffer the same fate as elephant becuase of immovable legs. The old elephant from 2000s is still a champion.

OH YESSSS!!!!!

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a new mold introduced in an advent calendar too, so I’m wondering if there’s some forest-y late summer or fall sets coming that it’s actually introduced in (perhaps part of that Nat Geo colab?)

City advent calendar also has a pigeon and an honorary mention rocking horse.
