Don’t think that’s likely, given how they have designed the dual coloured mould. Would be great if we get another variant this early though - maybe dark tan, dark grey or sand blue? Quote

Although i am not a fan of those soulless eyes. Quote

Ardelon Posted April 11 Posted April 11 For me, the major issue is that they are missing some purple or green printing. Not that I think they'll give us such a variant, it was just a bit of a let-down for me when the pigeon was first unveiled... Quote

Lack of pupil or green printing is a bit of letdown. But it’s still great that it’s dual-molded. We had toucan. Quote

So far we know there’s a pug in two different sets - do we know yet if they’re identical or different colours? In the past when new dog breeds were introduced in sets they came in two different colours straight away (bulldog & retriever) Quote

I know there a white, brown, and black pugs, but I don‘t think I‘ve ever seen one that wasn‘t tan. Sure, my experience can‘t be generalised, but I still think non-tan pugs are too rare for LEGO to showcase in a set Quote

Lion King Posted April 13 Posted April 13 And we had kittens in different colors in the same wave if i remember corretly. Quote

Equivalent to the year of the Great Lego City Squirrel Invasion, when we got three colours of squirrels to launch the new mould. Quote

That squirrel invitation too!!! ;) I kinda hope we would see pug in different colors at once this time. Both squirrel and kitten molds are very small and pug one might not be as small as they are. Roebuck Posted April 14 Author Posted April 14 (edited) Lego and National Geographic are according to latest rumors collaborating on a Disney+/Hulu series called "Lego wonders" (City?, Friends?). Sounds very promising regarding animals , been a few year since we had any NG sets now https://www.lego.com/en-us/exploretheworld Edit" the link is from last time they had a collaboration, I got existed and googled Edited Tuesday at 05:51 AM by Roebuck Quote
Lion King Posted Tuesday at 10:13 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:13 AM If i remember correctly, Lego had collorbrated with NatGeo in 2021 when we had Wildlife Rescue. And I could not rmemeber if we had Ocean subtheme in 2020 when Lego paired up with NatGeo. If so, i felt like Marine Biolgoist from Seires 29 is foreshadowing Lego Wonders as we had diver with baby turtle for Ocean subtheme in 2020. Right now, I won’t look into that further. Quote

Felidae has more species represented--domestic cat, lion, tiger, leopard, jaguar*, puma, and smilodon! * The adult black panther appeared in a set with Mesoamerican-style ruins. Quote

I don’t think the panther is a bona fide Jaguar, as the jungle theme maintained the same foliage/other animals, but it certainly works in the black form. I’d still like to see a reuse of the OG big cat mould coloured and printed for a Jaguar (and the new tiger mould redone for a snow leopard, while we’re at it! To my mind this would be the obvious next in the series of big City sets we have with the animals & maps, following on from the wolfs & arctic foxes). But yes, cats have more Lego species (6/7 to 3) though dogs have more unique Lego moulds (15(?)* to 9**) When you start to count either they really add up to a bunch more than we might normally think. ———————- *dog moulds: wolf, fox, shepherd, shepherd pup, husky, terrier, chihuahua, dachshund, bulldog, French bulldog, pug, Afghan, retriever, retriever with vest, mastiff **cat moulds: standing cat, sitting cat, long haired cat, kitten, big cat, maned lion, smilodon, new tiger, big cat cub Quote
