Yeah, saber-toothed tiger cub seems to be the only one that would fit in the box. I'd love to have some baby dinos in CMFs, but that seems highly unlikely since Jurassic World sets seem to be dominating everything dino-related (and yes, I agree Rex doesn't count). Maybe they can squeeze in a Dodo?

Let’s not forget that Marvel sets recently have Spidey Pterandon and stegosaurus babies otuside out of Jurassic World. That would be interesting to see dinosaurabies from Marvel pop into Jurassic World as normal dinos. I’m not too crazy about weird-colored Spidey dinos. On the other hand, I don’t think it would be an issue if a dino baby shows up in licensed or non-licensed CMF series even if Jurasic World and Marvel dinos are around.  I always want to see something unique like prehistoric / fantasy / sci-fi creatures in CMF series.  :)

I can't believe I forgot about them - and especially when I think the Stego baby is so much better than the renewed Stego from last year! It would be awesome if they crossed over anywhere with regular colors! I really like the baby Ptero and Stego molds. Have mixed feelings about the... raptors, are they? The proportions seem off, along with the colors. Still, we can always dream about non-existent creatures to be made, and go crazy when we get them :)

The ideas Italian Riviera seem only to have one kitten, maybe the new color that came this year in Tudor corner. Also some fish and a crab, the submission had more like a lobster and seagull at least:shrug_oh_well: maybe the kitten will show up in PAB then :sceptic:

Dark tan, yeah? The set is cute, but seems to have sacrificed a lot of buildings for a few too many minifigs

All good! :) Agreed, I’m not happy about the new Stegosaurus mold from last year - it should have a swinging tail function just like Ankylosaurus from 2020.  I can’t wait I to see both Pterandon and Stegosaurus babies show up in either in-house or Jurassic World themes in  normal colors. Lol, I feel ya about the Goblin raptor! It’s an easy pass for me.

Now that you said - go crazy! It’s a purpose for non-licensed CMF series and in-house themes. From now on, I am looking forward to see non-existing creatures being introduced!

I missed this new kitten colour. Why isn't it on PaB??

The Minifigures in the set are incredibly run of the mill too.

Too early for it to have shown up on PAB, no?

Well then that is just *rude*

Indeed. Between the insane prices, lack of many non-externally Licensed parts added, and new worse UI, PaB is quite literally not what it used to be.

City set names leaked, there is a tractor set and coast guard so could be animals there or maybe birdstrikes at the airport, but not something super promising like a hole farm wave .

All the more reason for CMF 28 to give us LOTS of new animals!

Hoping coast guard sets might produce a sea lion. Other than that, there don’t appear to be too many opportunities for new animals really - the summer sets usually include the bigger animals/out of the City ‘exploration’ sets.

I’m not optimistic the CMF line will be the animal series we want, certainly not a series with every figure accompanied by an animal. We can dream though and pray for some bigger animals in the summer. Would be nice to get the babies in the CMF line and then the adult in the summer sets (e.g. a baby hippo or panda).

For coast guard sets, I hope they re-design a seagull mold in HARD plastic.

If there is  Animals CMF Seires indeed, with a lot of aniamls, I Honeslty think it’s stupid.  Imagine that, buyers chase after them and then re-sell them twice an oringal price in or more in a secondary market.  Or eve buy bunch of same animal they want, making it more difficult for other animal fans to find.  Just saying….

But the animals would be available, albeit for a limited time, at a decent low price point, and it’s likely new moulds would be produced that would get reused in BAM, City sets etc ,..

are you honestly arguing *against* a lot of new animals in CMF28?!

Why? It's not very likely unless they make a non flying one.

So Lego should stop making anything people want, because scalpers and resellers will buy them!?

I’d be up for a variant non-flying gull though …

Even with the recent goatherd & Wolfmaster, I certainly found enough CMFs when I went looking, and things like the cockatoos and Persian cats are pretty plentiful on Bricklink, so I really don’t think scalpers are denying us animals.

As I have said before - I have much more of a problem with large £££ licensed sets which have exclusive animals.

Not against a lot of animal accessories in Series 28, no. I just don’t feel it would be full of animal molds as accessories to accompany figures.  It woudl make sense that half of 12 figures come with new animal molds, a few as animal comes, and anthromorphic characters.

But i don’t like the idea of fans chasing certain animals.  Breastmaster’s wolf is very popular in CMF for sure but if it never shows up in other sets like City or BAM. It woudl be more difficult for fans to find wolf in secondary market.

But - using that one example - the same wolf *is* showing up in a City set, and is therefore likely to be on Bricks & Pieces, in due course

Why would you think it’s unlikely? Seagull mold is made out of soft rubber and when it’s aged, it own’t sit on a stud firmly… As we have bunch of a Asian creatures in hard plastic (falcon, eagle, owl, etc). And as far as I remember, seagull is only the creature taht is made out of soft rubber purely (not counting mouse, flamingo, dinosaur).

I would love to see a seagull coming in dual-molded plastic or in a different pose.

Exactly. That’s why I said “if”.  I’m just glad that wold would “is” showing up in City theme.

I wish they’d just bring back the cobra at all. It still peeves me that they didn’t include one with the recent Harry Potter Dueling Club set since that scene has a cobra in it and it’s kinda the most plot relevant part of it.

The cobra is a bit of a weird one in the Lego animals world - firstly it’s all rubbery, and second, it has printing but no eyes 🤷🏽‍♂️
