jimmynick Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) Hello! About a year ago I presented a digital model of Battersea Power Station. You can find the original topic here. But since then, the model has been through 7 or 8 redesigns, so I think this justifies a new topic. This has sort of been a labour of love. In the past year, I went back to Battersea, visited the Britannia Row Studios and went on a Pink Floyd bender. I reworked and reworked this model until I finally decided it was finished, and ordered the bricks to build it. Here we go: EDIT: See more photos at Flickr. It's a shame I don't have a good photo set-up at the moment, but the pictures came out OK (if a little washed-out). C&C are welcome. Thanks for looking! Edited September 9, 2014 by jamesn Quote
Zerobricks Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Can you also post the real building photo for reference? Thankies! Quote
JGW3000 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Looks great, truly an iconic building for old-fart PF lovers like me, just need to add the flying pig dirigible and it would be perfect However, I would have used sand yellow (dark tan) instead of brick yellow (tan) on the building, keeping the stacks white or medium stone grey. rollermonkey Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Very nice! I, too would like to see a pig suspended over the set. Was it not possible to do similar SNOT windows on the near end of the building on the lower portion? I think two trans-clear 1x1 or 1x2 plates would be perfect, but I'm also not certain if it could be worked into only 4-studs space... Unless you could go into that 5th stud from the corner somehow...
