Lego in Paris, France

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know where to find Lego in Paris? I'm going there with my family over 2 weeks, and they don't want to search for Lego, but if we see some we'll go check it out. I'd also like to know if it's really worth going to shops that sell Lego there, considering the prices there.

I also found this in an old topic:

''In Paris:

1) Jouclub (3-5 Bd des Italiens, 75002 Paris)

Really cool shop with only Legos (there are actually several toy stores in the Juclub "compound" but one is dedicated to Legos).

They tend to have the sets before anybody at the price of S@H (couple of cents more). "the best"

2) Galeries Lafayette (40 Bd Haussman, 75009 Paris)

They have a new 5th floor dedicated to toys, with a Lego section. Not as great but:

* they have a little pick a brick section

* they have wonderful sales twice a year. 50% of the big sets awsome!!! (however, rarely SW).''

I would appericiate some suggestions.

Those two adresses are still the ones to go to. Those were the ones recommended by xwingyoda, and he surely was the guy when it came down to Lego in paris. The gallery Lafayette is the best from a tourist perspective as this usually is a place to visit during a typical Paris tour.

Considering the prices, it really depends on where you're coming from. If it's from the US, forget it, it'll be highly expensive compared to your standards.

I too am going to Paris very soon. Yoda Is definately the man to go to on that front. I've already talked to him, Hopefully We'll manage to get out for coffee while I'm there.

Thanks for the heads up on those shops, I may check them out. Unlikely that I'll buy much though, As I'm going to America in the same holiday. Good luck on finding lots of lego!

I live in the Netherlands, so the prices there are pretty equal to the prices here I think.

Does anyone know if they also sell magnet sets, keychains, (maybe even the mini's) and that sort of stuff there?

Hello everybody,

I visited the stores 2 days ago, and even chatted with the lego salesperson responsible for Paris.

you have 3 main stores, the ones mention above, and another one, Toys r us, in La defense area, in the commercial centre "Les 4 temps"

They are similar in the way that they all sell Exclusive items, latest collection, and have specialist lego sales person (paid by lego)

I would say Galeries Lafayettes, are a bit more expensive due to being in the galeries lafayettes store, must have to pay extra fee.

jouet club is for me the best, price wise and knowledge.

exclusive items I saw were fire brigade, taj mahal, carousel ...

Galeries lafayettes had more exclusive items, they were selling death star, medieval village, fire brigade, carousel, taj mahal.

That was nice to see those shops, but i was not that impressed...I feel my local jouet-club in Britanny had good offers (except exclusive items)

We miss a lego shop in Paris, that is for sure!!!

Hi Guys,

I am visiting Paris in November and would like to know if there are updates to the information above.

I know that there is a LEGO Store in So West Mall (how's the PAB selection there?) and there will be one that's gonna open in Disneyland Paris (largest in Europe) by the time I visit.

I am also wondering if the mega outlets and department stores have crazy clearance sales ala Target or Kroger in the states? Where else can I find good LEGO deals in Paris?

Thanks,

EJ

Well, i can tell you that you can find Lego in TRU too, in the mall Le4temps at La Defense. U get there fairly easy by subway. I have visited the Lego shop too, but the PAB wall was not that great, although they had some nice sets there in stock.

Franckly, unless you're very lucky, you won't find any clearance at this time of the year.

The So Ouest store is OK for the PAB and BAM is cheaper (5,5€ for 3), for the rest, french prices will hurt you bad.

You might find some deals at the TRU, but also check out other kids stores like Joué Club or King Jouets, they usually have a decent selection, and some old sets are often on sale (I got Bank Transfert at 36eur instead of 55 last year in King jouets).

Enjoy your trip !

Just visited paris and went to so ouest and disney stores

Quite frankly i like the so ouest store better, easier to get to from paris center, not a lot of people and staff were more helpful. Everything current is on display there and still has the polybags for every 55 euro purchase.

Though store size isn't as big as disney, they actually have more unique non set merchandize like stickers and other display pieces.

Hello to everybody!

I'm visiting Paris for several days. Can you recommend some stores in the centre of Paris, where I can buy some exclusives such as Detective Agency (10246) or Mini Cooper (10242), please?

Hi Antony

In Paris you have 2 main stores

Jouet club, Bd des Italiens : not sure on the stock, but prices are usaly 5 to 15% up compare to the LEGO retail price

But

You have a LEGO store, in Levallois (not in Paris center, but really close, you can go in Metro + 5 min walk) (http://stores.lego.com/fr-fr/stores/fr/so-ouest)

They have everything you're searching for.

Thank you!

I've already been to France. Unfortunately, I couldn't visit Lego store.

I've visited Toys'r'us in Les 4 Temps. They didn't have the sets I need. But I'll have a long trip in summer so I can order everything I need from S@H!
