[MOC] A Lego Impatient Hand / Drumming fingers

Lovely! It depends how much you want to emulate the actual human motion but can I suggest using different cams perhaps to get the fingers in the air for longer? Currently each successive finger rises just as its predecessor drops, so you end up with a sort of spidery action, whereas the physical action of drumming fingers involves all four fingers being in the air at once at the top of the cycle before the little finger drops.

Right, a precise movement depends on the shape of the cams and how you position them on the shaft. But this is the best I can do with standard lego parts while trying to make it as small as a real hand.

I understand - the size problem is definitely something I've run into, with mechanisms necessitating a much larger model than I'd hoped!
