How long for in-stock items when something else is out-of-stock

I ordered the Delorean on the 9th September, it was showing as Available Now at the time, though now it is saying expected ship date as 11th October.

If I miss out on it this batch, fair enough, though still annoyed. But my question is, how long does it usually take for the other items I ordered to be sent? I also ordered the new Town Square so as to put me into the free delivery and qualify for the free VW Camper. It does say that items in stock will ship straight away, with out of stock items put on back order, so why hasn't my order been sent already, or doesn't this show up in order status until everything is shipped?

I've had problems with a few recent orders not finding my address due to incorrect details supplied by TLG and/or incompetent couriers who can't use their brains, but without a tracking number, there is nothing I can do.

I have contacted Customer Service, but still waiting to hear back, though it has been over 24 hours, so even with time zone differences (there is no customer service for Australia) I should have heard something by now.

What has been other people's experiences with items going out of stock and other items still arriving? and which customer service centre would be best for me to contact (I selected the UK one) to move them along.

I think there is no difference which customer service center you'll call untill you can speak language comfortable to you. Recently I had an order on German S@H and had call to UK CS. The lady offered me to transfer the call to german CS, but as I don't speak german - I stayed on the call with english speaking person.
