  1. Here is a little MOC for your enjoyment. It is a sphere (more precisely, a spherical icosidodecahedron), made entirely from one part, the trans 1x2 plate (1950 of them). It was very hard to put together, but it is very sturdy!
  2. This is render of a commissioned model I am working on. 90% of the bricks are already ordered so building can soon start. The model has about 50k bricks and is 2m75 x 1 m in size
  3. Hey, here a new video of how to build a lego sphere, very good animation I hope you like it
  4. This sphere is made entirely of Reddish Brown 2x4 plates. Hence the title (Mold and mart numbers from TLG) My first sphere used a combination of bricks and plates for the pentaginal hubs, and technic connections to make the struts inbetween hubs. It was very parts heavy, but also very strong. My second one looked a lot like this. On a side note, this one can be made into another spehere with 3 sided hubs. This sphere got me thinking....what if I could make a sphere with just one part type? After a large bricklink order, I found that I could, but I still didn't have enough 2x4 plates. After several visit to lego stores, I finally got a K-Box of 2x4 plates in a color that I could use for other purposes.
