This is a modified version of the flying car LOLA from LEGO set 76077 (Detroit Steel Strikes) which is based on a vehicle the Marvel's Agents of Shield TV show. The car in the show is a 1962 Corvette sports car from the C1 generation with flying mode added, probably by Howard Stark. I redid the color scheme a bit, added the correct quad taillights of a Corvette, and strengthened the design everywhere I could using parts not available in 2017. Flying mode activated! The front of LOLA in driving mode. The inside of the car was redone in white to better contrast the red bodywork. The rear of the car. Turning the left and right dark bluish gray knobs 90 degrees folds down the wheels for flight mode. Both left and right doors open and the car seats one figure. Sadly, Agent Coulson is very expensive on Bricklink, so he won't be driving LOLA anytime soon. (although I have a way of making an approximation of him when funds allow) Thoughts?

The "Sky Tracer 2000" is the latest aerodyne made by Axellion. An aerodyne is a vehicle which directs air downward to create lift, which can also be described as a VTOL, although that description is more used for heavier vehicles. Axellion - Sky Tracer 2000 by Ids de Jong, on Flickr

For a contest last year, I created a 'construction of the future'. I built the 'apartment building of the future'. I didn't win anything of course, but I'm quite happy with the result, so I thought I share some pictures here. The building This 'building of the future' consists of several economical tiny houses stacked on top of each other. Each tiny house is equipped with a kitchen, shower, toilet, elevated bed and dining area. Each tiny house has a balcony, suited for enjoying the sunshine of growing your own vegetables. The lower two floors house a bar, where locals are enjoying a drink and a performance by an upstart local band. The building is powered by solar panels and a windmill on the roof. Transport in the future is by way of bike, flying car or personal jetpack and mail is delivered by drones. This means there is no need for stairs As the original design was far too big to build in real life (over 7000 pieces and over 1 meter tall), I have also created a somewhat downscaled version and made it compatible with the modular building format. This version can be found on Rebrickable: Apartment of the future modular. Pictures And now for some pictures: And more in the 'spoiler' section: Enjoy!

Last year, I've built a Blade Runner-inspired MOC on Mecabricks : The original model can still be seen here. As you can see, some parts used in my build don't exist in dark blue. So this model remained a virtual MOC, until March 2018. The Speed Champions Ford Fiesta had some new parts in dark blue, so I redesigned my MOC to be able to build it with physical bricks. Here's the result : I've put a lot of thought in this model, trying to make it sturdy, fun and interesting to build (as you can see below, the MOC is made of several distinct modules), but without compromising the looks. The build is so smooth, there are only four visible studs on the whole model (or five, if you count the half-studs of the 3x2 wedge plates) : two on the windscreen, and two on a wedge plate on the bottom of the MOC : I've created PDF instructions with stud.io's instructions maker, which are available on bricksafe, as well as the parts list to get the required parts on Bricklink.
