  1. Location E02 Jurin II This is a rebuild of my first AG build "I Am So Lost..." Something feels different, I can't put my finger on it but it seems I am working for a corp named Mantis. Anyways, I am trying to source materials for this interesting company here on Jurin II. I sure hope I don't mess this up. I'll be using this ground seeking radar to find whatever it is a guy looks for. Maybe it is for finding dead reshirts. Nah....that wouldn't make any sense for me to be associated with redshirts.
  2. Location: E02 Jurin II Tags: Vehicle, Spaceship Based on this build by mediumsnowman. Excerpt from the M.A.N.T.I.S. Pilot's Equipment Guide, Version 7.1 The M.A.N.T.I.S. M204 Personnel Transport is designed to move troops and equipment short to moderate distances. The ship is powered by the M.A.N.T.I.S. LD400 triple frame awesomenium reactor with an upgraded hyperdrive sequencer and is equipped with heavy armor, advanced blaster shield tech and duel burst proton cannons. Capacity without cargo is 16 personnel and two pilots. Donnie Bricko is not happy about sitting in the middle. The ramps fold down and top and side sections come off to reveal the interior... Thanks for looking -D
  3. Location: E02 Jurin II This is a rebuild of my third AG build: Mission Accomplished! Mission Log: Entry ??? ~ A beautiful, tropical plain, lush vegetation covering the ground as far as the eye could see. Towering pillars of rock and colossal mountains rising above the horizon, obscuring the view of the beaches and sea that fringed one of Jurin II's largest islands. But this paradise was short-lived.... A trail of smoke in the distance. A harsh, throaty laugh as the MANTIS Ravager-class speeder zoomed into view - nicknamed 'The Turtle' due to the huge front "flippers" which propelled the craft through the air. A tall figure garbed in the signature black and green of the MANTIS corporation slowed the speeder to a stop and leapt out. He surveyed his surroundings - ideal. A cruel smile on his face, he lifted a flamethrower down from the side of the speeder and loaded it. He pulled the trigger and the tropical plains around him drowned in leaping flames... In this struggle for domination, Octan could not be allowed to profit from or research the rare plants growing in this region. MANTIS scientists had taken their fill of specimens, and now they were making sure nobody else could steal that advantage. A signature move from the most powerful corporation in the galaxy - or so they thought Without minifigure/speeder: MANTIS Dragonfire: The MANTIS 'Turtle' Ravager-class speeder:
  4. Location: E02, Jurin II Tags: MANTIS, spying Double D's log 30: With Octan's Fleet safely at bay, I was sent to cause some setbacks for Octan who thinks it can out-smart MANTIS and push into its newfound territory. I made defiant paths of foliage destruction and toppled Octan communication towers. Any guards were temporarily immobilized by my shock gun, and when they awake a few hours later, they will find their equipment destroyed. Share the Awesomnium planets. Okay, let's do that. Guess Jurin II wasn't part of the plan, and now Octan has declared open war on MANTIS. Let them come, let them try, let them see the power of MANTIS. Sure, I was outnumbered this mission, but that's no matter, MANTIS has the best spies around, and our new tech makes us more deadly than ever. Our cloaking devices are strong, and I can practically walk up to an Octan tower without being picked up by their radars. ~ DD out
  5. Location: E02, Jurin II Tags: MANTIS, spying, water vehicle No Escape by David FNJ, on Flickr Double D's log 32: Well, I think after this week Octan will finally get the message that Jurin II ain't theirs anymore. I followed the new recruits from last week and noticed they were checking a lot of small island equipment. So, I took a team with me and we followed them from a distance. Of course, it wasn't too hard with our spy tech - the stealth technology is fully integrated into many of our vehicles and computer systems. Our watercraft being a type of airship helped too because it is nice and quiet. Once we overheard the Octan recruits say it was "finally, our last stop," we made ourselves known. It was hilarious, they scrambled and ran into each other, making the confiscation of their weapons easy. After sinking their small watercraft, we then proceeded to let them know that we had followed them for the day and hence knew where all of the (unguarded) islands with that type of equipment were. We even let them be first-hand witnesses of what a few MANTIS blasters could do! We left the island and the two recruits on it. We told them we'd be back for them in 32 hours just in case Octan doesn't look for lost employees. ~ DD out ----------------------------------------- One cool feature of the airboat is the bomb-deployment. Just push down on one of the engine-looking things, and a bomb drops. The bomb is held in place quite well.
  6. Location: E02, Jurin II Tags: MANTIS, spying, land vehicle Spying in the Lab Ruins by David FNJ, on Flickr Double D’s log 31: I was continuing my main mission about make things difficult for Octan, but this part of the mission was more subtle than last week's. Ocean seemed to be moving its weapons around the planet, and I was to find out where such weapons were being moved to, and why. I came across an inexperienced bunch who were leading a small automatic cannon that used Octan maps and sensors to move and fire at targets. Ha, obviously their scanners aren’t that great when trying to find MANTIS spies. I followed the presumed new Octan recruits through the ruins of a MANTIS lab that was destroyed when Octan first took Jurin II many months beforehand. It provided nice cover, and even creeped out the Octan recruits! “I feel like we’re being watched” “I know the feeling, but it’s by Octan satellites, so we’re safe…” “But MANTIS agents are everywhere!” “I haven’t seen any, have you?” “No, and that’s what worries me! We’ve never seen one, and they’ve slowed our operations down more than we expected!” “Well, if everyone does his part and brings our weapons to the more fortified locations instead of trying to mine in many places on the planet, not even the MANTIS spies will be able to stop our advance. Plus, our fleet is waiting on E01 for when we finally take back this planet from those bugs.” “But what if we don’t get all of our weapons back to the fortified mining facilities? Our fleet can’t penetrate this system until we have a secure place to let them land!” *scratching noises* “Um…wait! Did you hear that?” “Stop teasing me!” “No, for real this time!” I fired up an old generator that sent an eerie hum throughout the ruins, and the sound could not be traced back because the noise bounced off of the broken walls and equipment in every which direction. *eerie humming noises* “Let’s hurry and get out of here! It’s said the ghost of Big Sal lives in these ruins!” “Really?!” *CRASH* “RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!" It’s too late Octan, it’s too late. ~ DD out Set remake of Shipwreck Defense for MANTIS pirate week! I expanded on the ruins a bit to make it more interesting. http://brickset.com/...ipwreck-Defence
