  1. Just a couple of stylized faun statues. Many thanks.
  2. Alright then, how would you guys make it shorter? Provide some constructive feedback.
  3. Not in Roman mythology. The "diapered" Cupid is a common sterotype of the god used today.
  4. Some classic roman mythology in honor of St. Valetine's Day! Many thanks.
  5. I have to echo eti- these were not made by LEGO - they would never do this, anyway. If they had made these, it would send a terrible message to children; as they are fairly inappropriate.
  6. Thanks, JimButcher. If you knew that without searching for it, then I am very impressed. If you searched for it, then you're a cheat!
  7. "A hungry fox boldly walks in through a hen house door, Too bad for him, he met a hen who stood at 6'4"! He won't forget the lickin' he got from that big chicken, Now he buys his poultry from the store!" Infinite brownie points from me if you know where that corny little joke is from (without searching for it).... my brownie points aren't worth anything, but I'll be impressed! Thanks!
  8. Thanks guys! If I can get some pneumatic parts; I'm well on my way to getting my paws on some, so it's likely they will be animated (only the elbow joint would move the arms up and down).
  9. I probably wouldn't pneed the manometer, so if I do end up buying the set, I'll let you know. Maybe we can work something out.
  10. Pnow, if I need two cylinders (one per arm), I should buy two cylinders, tubing and T-sections, switch and two pumps? Is that correct? (I'm so chock full of questions because this won't be dirt cheap). Or this is a great buy for me? http://www.legoeducation.com/store/detail....amp;t=0&l=0 That's what I'm leaning toward at this point...
  11. Ah, so a compressor can take the place of an air tank? That sounds like a plan...
  12. Many thanks! Now, what's the signifigance of the air tank?
  13. Well, the movement created with pneumatics will not be hooked up to the NXT brick; it'll be completely seperate, and manually operated. Unless hook the switch to a motor, but even that motor will be seperate (not the NXT servo motor.... or maybe it could be.... hm....)
  14. Thanks, Sinner. Now, what's the bear minimum I need. I assume: Air Tank Piston T-pins/Tubing Switch The type of part you pictured (or is that an early switch?) Pump Is that correct?
  15. I'm looking for a set of pneumatic parts; most specifically, an airtank. The other parts are a little cheaper on bricklink. However, a full set of whatever I need would be nice. Willing to buy or trade. (I plan on using them with this: http://flickr.com/photos/sirnadroj/3254219740/ ) Thanks!
  16. Thanks for the feedback, guys. Here's some progress:
  17. What are you..... .... UGLY?
  18. What are you: my parents? I think I can handle some gin! sheesh!
  19. I'd like to have a swag of gin and a cigar. Me thinks we need get to that libray and search for any evidence of construction (foundations and such).
  20. Cozy room! I'd like to check underneath the large square rug.
  21. Thanks for the feedback, guys! Yup, dk brown legs from Plo Koon.
  22. For the "Agents of the Imperial Crown" contest over at flickr; steampunkified version of "Swamp Raid". Here's the contest link: http://www.flickr.com/groups/24604222@N00/...57612024473276/ Thanks!
  23. Thanks for the feedback! No dioramas planned with these guys. I don't intend to take this beyond one pictue per figure in a scene. Because that's a scala hybrid, not a belville hybrid. But since you brought him up, I suppose I'll post him here. Anonymity (A more surrealistic one, me thinks)
  24. Hmmm... this has to be my first topic in this subforum. Wierd! Where do I begin? Some of you may have seen one of my pics on flickr, inquiring on NXT sound capabilities (I got my answer). I mentioned briefly plans on building a 1:1 scale humanoid audio animatronic using only official LEGO elements, and have to basis of the movements created using NXT technologies. Obviously the movements are going to be very, very simple. I've got tons and tons of inspiration for this project; most notably the Timekeeper figure from (Disney) Tomorrowland's "The Timekeeper" attraction, and (my favorite) S.I.R. - the robot from the original preshow of (Disney) Tomorrowland's Alien Encounter - (now "Stitch's Great Escape). So I plan on having those as a basis of the design. (here are some links in case you want to check them out: )I want to start with the head, and if that comes out well, I'll move on to a body - probably one moving arm and one stationary one. But I really haven't thought about that much yet. I've got the designs for the mechanisms all in my head. Here are some WIP shots: And a test video: Thanks!
  25. I posted these all at once, so I figure one thread works for all. Sea Horse Fisherbear First Primate Bunny Boar Whore (supposed to be spoiled rotten - not what you first thought!) Alright, that's all for now!
