Let's see.... this is a long one! ;-) Rock Island Refuge I have had TONS of other ones but they are either in a zillion little peices, deep within the lego buckets of doom hiding under unsturdy metal shelves in my basement, :S , or I sold them.

Is Lego making any Spiderman 3 legos? I know they have done the other movies in the past, so why haven't I seen any pics on french toy fair galleries, brickhelf etc? Are they making them or not? (There may be another topic on this floating around, but I want to know what's goin' on.) :-)

Hey, you guys are forgeting my Black Pearl!!! The Black Pearl :-D Today I printed some scans of offical sails, so i'll start experimenting with the sails either tonight or tommarow (depending on if I can get to a fabric store) ;-) I just want to get TONS of holes in it like the movie, but I'm not sure the point of sils with holes, it kinda defeats the purpose, don't ya think? :-D

No, no, I put never meind becuase I see where I double-posted, and I understand how to use the EDIT button. Don't worry, I'm not completely oblivious to all vernacular internet jargon. *sweet* *snort* EDIT: And i watched POTC nast night and I noticed the Black Pearl has 8 sails, one in front, 1 in back, and three stacked on 2 masts, so thats what I will work with once the stupid thing comes in. That's factory's only fault: it takes too long!) Oh, and see? I used edit! :-D Edit: (AGAIN) I also purchased some mast ringing ladder things for the sides, and 16 medium blue birds, for a Mr. Cotton, I was gonna buy 1, but what the heck, I got 15 more! :-$

Thanks norrington. I think it looks pretty good, and most of the time, i'm easy to satisfy when it comes to legos. I don't know if i'll make any major adjustments, maybe some changs to the mast, but I probably am not going to make it longer. What do you guys think about my crew (under my potc brickshelf gallery)?

You know, those would probably work, but it's just that I just so HATE mega bloks. UHhhhh, I can't stand the things simply becasue they are mega bloks. They wish they could be half has cool (and stable :-$ ) as legos, so porbably no, plus I don't want to spend $50+ dollars for the sails, then throw the rest away, you know. But that was a good suggestion, I probably wouldn't have thought of that, but I think i'll do a little experimenting of my own first.

ok, so I bought the Black Pearl (along with the little duck sculputre I have for my avatar), and it should come in in a little while maybe another 10 ays or so, so when it comes in, i'll put it together, then do something for the sails

I have never created a custom pirate ship- only a wrecked one on my brickshelf gallery: i used some 1x4 tiles on a red hull sticking out all crooked so it looks like jagged floorboards... but back on topic: does anyone think $115+ USD is worth it, 'cause I don't want to waste money on it. (not like any lego is a waste of money *sweet* )

I added some more details, like rails and things. My problem is that I have been researching the ship, but some pics show it with only 4 sails, 1 in front, 2 in middle, and 1 in back, but some show it with 6. I'm so confused! :S

How much would I pay? I would spend the $106 USD. I like the look and the hull tequnique I ended up using (becasue I could not find any hulls on eBay). Oh, and thanks for that tutorial on sails- its very interesting. Maybe I'll end up using that (that is if I buy the thing) :-D

I'm not sure, I haven't started looking. Do you think it's worth $106 USD? I like the design of the hull: 2x1's and 1x1 cylinders stacked. I have seen that teqnique used for castle towers and things, so why not a ship hull? What I need to do is think of an exuse to buy it: how about Easter, do people get presents for that?

*n* On the topic of the flying dutchman, you know what gets me really mad? That TLC did not get the pirates of the caribbean movie license. They could have done some amazing things, but NOOOOOO..... Mega BLoks gets it! *n* :-X

Thanks! I want to use a sort of fabric, I just don't know what. Maybe felt...hmmm... I also would want to teather it to get an eerie affect like the movie (but that is if I end up buying it, it's kinda expensive :-/ $106 USD)

Hiya everyone! *sweet* I have a question for you. I know many people have made custom pirate ships, so what materials/fabrics do you use to make the custom sails. I made a black pearl from LEGO FACTORY Black Pearl Here but before I potenially buy it, I want to make sure I know what to do for the sails. Thanks for your help! *sweet*
