Yes, but we've heard so much about how good the Agori are at patching things together -- this seems like an easy option for them, just diggin' up whatever they find and using it as armor. =P -Ikk

We need a quote or some official clarification. =P By the way, I came to think of why the Bara Magnans look so robotic even though they're mostly organic -- we know they probably wear lots of armor, and it's very possible that some of that armor is stuff fashioned out of mechanical pieces, e.g. the giant Great Spirit ones or buried tech. That'd explain why they have so many pistons and holes yet so few implants -- simply 'cause the armor itself would have techmech look. Like, for instance, if you took apart a car and used the parts as armor. Kinda cool, actually. XD -Ikk

Every standing city would be torn down and replaced with new ones littered furnaces, forges, and stations made of black rock and burned metal. Matoran would sleep in crude mass stone shelters. Each lightstone would glow red and the ones on the dome roofs would glow through a dense fog some level above each landmass. Sea and land travel would be patrolled by Rahi wearing infected masks, whereas the most densely populated areas would be under the surveillance of Rahkshi. Exo-Toa would guard all important work stations, and Toa of Shadow would oversee the construction of a thousand statues erected to Makuta. Species such as that of Krekka, Sidorak, and Axonn would be forced into slavery, whereas Skakdi and Vortixx would be employed to annihilate all existing species that might contain the slightest threat to Makuta. Makuta would be able to create Kraata and Ra-Matoran at will. Hundreds of new, bizzare and gruesome Rahi would be brought into existance. The most skillful and loyal beings would serve to mass-produce these new terrors, as well as experiment on Matoran, Rahi, and every known creature in the Koruru Nui -- the new name granted to the universe of shadow. Finally, Toa of Shadow would be sent to seek out the greatest treasures known in legend, such as the Mask of Void, the Mask of Aether, and the Creation Stones. Spur-of-the-moment. =P -Ikk

Somehow, ROS would just feel a lot more epic and gloomy if there was less dialogue. It's pretty much all characters giving funny comebacks and seeming indifferent to the situation. Quotes like '“What do you have in mind, and does it include explosions?” asked Tahu, hoping it did.' and 'Somehow, some way, he was going to make it back to Metru Nui – and Makuta was going to pay for what he had done, even if it cost Axonn his life.' are incredibly boring and cliche. =/ Good to see the Nuva still, though. Still, Greg said that its importance was equivalent to that of Bara Magna, and we still don't know how the organic birds came around, since there was never any landmass on the planet. -Ikk

Over 100,000 years ago, Spherus Magna was the homeworld of the Great Beings and the Paradise mentioned in the original legends. From inside the planet a portion of Energized Protodermis leaked out, causing the native Agori to fare war over it while the EP was slowly breaking apart the planet. The GBs saw this and created Mata Nui to somehow stop or undo it. Then came the Shattering, an event in which Spherus Magna split into Bara Magna, two moons, and supposedly the two crescent rings orbiting it: together these form the UDD symbol, which serve as a map of this system and a reminder of what happened. 'tis all we know so far. =P The Endless Ocean Planet remains a mystery. -Ikk

Speaking of organics, character design, and movie animation, I dug up this excellent old chart showing the anatomy of a Toa Nuva. Dunno 'bout the relevance, but such things are always cool to me. =P In other news, I think they shut down the Metru Nui Ministry of Tourism site. i_i -Ikk

They are making the movie for fans of Bionicle, ages 9-12, as they always have been. Having looked over the teaser again, I must say I still am impressed with the scenery, though that may be because of its celestial setting, whereas the character design seems more or less lackluster. As others have said, it resembles more than anything a video game, though a good one, but it lacks the animation and liveliness of the original trilogy. The thing I most miss, though, is the organics. I doubt Mata Nui will differ much in design from the other characters of the film, which is a bummer, since now more than ever the beings should be shown with organic parts. This looks like an animated toy. =| -Ikk

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Graphics are fantastic! And the space-shot of the UDD System is gorgeous. This means that, probably... - the EO Planet is NOT one of the Moons, since the Ignika comes from somewhere else. Meaning the organic birds are still a mystery. =D - the rest of the debris left over from Spherus Magna formed two supercool purple clouds of gas and rock. The UDD Map is explained in the teaser, yes, but it already was on Bio.com. The REAL mystery remains: what's the big plan the GBs crafted to fix all this, and what is Mata Nui's role in it? Mysteries lie with the characters, not with the geographics and the events. Me likey. =D -Ikk

Ah, I love keetorange, and I think it looks brilliant on Mata Nui -- only gold would've been so much more spectacular. =P Still no Mistika, though. -Ikk

On closer investigation, the new joints appear to have a +hole as their middle-hole, which means any connection of a Piraka or Inika thigh piece will have to be through a +o rod, which will stick out a little. Still, way better than having to use rubber bands! -Ikk

Oh how extremely cool. Even the MOVIE has the Ignika being gold. ;_; -Ikk

All right, time for some individual opinionaddas. Stronius - once given proper plastic, this fella will be so spectacular looking, what with that awesomely reptilian head and club. Perfect buff-Skrall. Ackar - Oh, this is beauty. Brilliant colors, MATA RED AND ORANGE, and overall there's something infinitely legendary about him. Always was my favorite, moreso is now. Kiina - great to see a new torso construction and sky blue Vahki leg, looks very athletic and slick. Still, she needs those new straightened Hordika necks for shoulders. A little eh. Gelu - doesn't look as magnificent here. Breathtaking mask though, and here's hopin' photos are just awkward. Vastus - bit of a jumbled mess, but oh, does that mask and that scythe ever win. Torso needs rebirth, though. Mata Nui - In all fairness, I like him, though infinitely less than if he'd been gold or tan. But he's not bad. The yellow makes him look like a sun god, and we get some keetorange limbs finally. His brightness well shows him for who he is. Vehicles - not a big fan, frankly, not even of Thornatus at this point. Again, as with many of these, photos are probably just aweful. Some overall pros: - MATA RED LIMBS. Finally we can build a worthy Tahu Mistika. - New joints whose hoels face the other way! PERFECT for attaching thigh armor to shoudler sides instead of fronts. - Skopio rider has orange Metru legs. =') Those are Galabatorian Legends all right. -Ikk
