It's much more like the old Miru Nuva... but... ... it looks like a duck. -Ikk -
LOL I missed a comma there -- it's meant to read "I hate reviews like this, though, they make me want to go buy the sets." Illustrating how good the review was because it made me want to go buy the set. And now I've ruined the joke. <_> -Ikk

Ahh, I like this. My main bug with Tarix was always that I felt he needed more Mata blue -- this helps, certainly, though LEGO producing limbs in that color would be a great step too. I like how his body seems more solid, too, and system pieces are always a great touch. He could, perhaps, use some different lower legs, though I ain't sure what they could be. We need more limb molds... And now I actually want to go out and get Tarix (and 7 other Glatorian) just so I can experiment on him myself. =P -Ikk

asdfgh flashback from loooooooooooooong BZP debates with bonesiii. Don't make me go there again. xD For the record, I love both Tarix, Kiina, Strakk and all other Glatorians. I hate reviews like this, though they make me want to go buy the sets. (but awesome pics)

Why on EARTH didn't they make Karda Nui look this awesome?? Primordial jungles and overgrown caverns are far more inspiring than just rockrockrock and the occasional grey plant. And just when I thought Mata Nui was as cool as cool gets, we get this. Breathtaking pictures, thanks for sharing them! Mata Nui island and Toa concept art make me weep with joy. -Ikk -
Lol... the music is painfully bad until we see the BM system. So is the animation, come to think of it. xD Love that beach, though... -Ikk

Nah, everyone just thinks it looks like Nidhiki's face and that it would've been the perfect mask for him. =P Heck, it would've. xD -Ikk -
Looks like something from the extras, like that MOL Mata Nui Explorer... or perhaps the opening/menu screen of the DVD. But nice. -Ikk

Thanks, appreciate it. Although, come to think of it, I'll still have to stay off EB for two weeks since I KNOW I won't be able to stop people after the US release... -Ikk

Agreed. Not to be rude or anything, but could people *please* not post major spoilers from the movie until it's out in all countries? -Ikk

How on Earth is this cheesy? This is the FIRST time I'm actually hyped about this movie. =D Awesome scene with the elemental powers -- love how they go into detail plus it's just the weapons that are powered up. This is definitely gonna be epic. -Ikk -
This Danish site has an extended description of TLR: Although hardly surprising, this pratically confirms that Mata Nui gives the Glats elemental powers. -Ikk

Problem is, 2011 is Bionicle's 10-year anniversary, not 2010. Just like LEGO SW was first released in 1999, and is now celebrating its 10-year anniversay. -Ikk
-
... huh, point. But there were still five years between. This is waaaay too soon. XD -Ikk

HAI GUYS I just realized. They'd NEVER release another set named Gresh or Skrall the very year after identically named sets were released. Remember Greg talking about LEGO having to release the Nuva with new titles (though in the end they settled for 'Toa ___' instead of '___ Nuva')? If Gresh and Skrall were sets next year, they'd be distinguished by some new titles like Gresh Lulzika or whatever. The list is fake. -Ikk

Yeah, really not. -
Well, I'll be damned. We know Mata Nui's group stumblle across the GB Lab in the movie, which presumably gives him a way to get off the planet, possibly with some other Bara Magnans. I doubt Mata Nui's grand mission will be completed in the movie -- that'd take way too long and be waaaay too confusing and unrelated for the kiddies. So if these names are real, the only really logical conclusion is that next year takes place in the MU. OR some of the MUans escape to BM... OR Makuta crashland on BM after the movie but before next year... OR... ah, who cares, I just want epic sets. Tahu and Taka and Mata fighting side by side would be a smidgen legendary, if nothing else! -Ikk

Now taking YOUR ideas for the future of LEGO Pirates theme
Ikki o' Moopyville replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
Islander sets -- villages, temples, prisons, statues, and sailing vessels -- possibly a pirate raid on a native settlement! That would certainly help establish a sense of location and atmosphere, and would just be overall really cool! =D EDIT: Oh yes -- and ruins too, of all kinds of megalithic temples and statues! -Ikk -

Hey, I remember you from BZP! =D Stronius is IMO a flawless set, as is Gelu pretty much -- their problem is that, despite their lack of flaws, they aren't really that exciting. Although the club and Godzilla head of Stronius ARE pure win, and likewise with Gelu's ice-stuff. At this point, though, I'm starting to get excited for 2010 sets. XD -Ikk -

Every day my heart weeps for the loss of Protongu. I don't have much of a problem with the arms -- to me it looks like his upper arms and hands are armored, while his lower arms are bare. May not make much sense logically, but I can definitely see it when I look at him. The length is slightly odd, too. Tried fixing it with shorter upper arms, but could find no good way to attach the Crescents. Oh, and REMEMBER: Telluris has keetorange Metru legs if you wanna try out that on Mats. =P -Ikk -

These sound like some rather minor problems y'all bring up with Tarix -- just switch his legs, feet, and give him some handles for his blades. Heck, you can change the length of his weapons however you like, since the blades attach at the top only! Sure, he's not perfect, but he's easily fixable. And when it comes to LEGO sets, that just encourages me to get him. Seriously, he looks regal. Could use a dual-colored helmet, but still. Like some king of Atlantis or something, with all the gold and silver and everything. Totally different: Mata Nui DESPERATELY NEEDS a keetorange Metru chest on a black Metru hip. NOT the current opposite way. It like... boggles your eyes. -Ikk -
Aaand just to let everyone know: the Glatorian Legends are available in the LEGO Shop in Legoland. =D Went in there so fast I didn't get to see if the vehicles were there too. xD And totally unrelated, but the Castle Village on display in the PAB Shop is beeeeautiful. -Ikk
