  1. That Pharaoh fig is gorgeous. And not only that -- we get an equally glorious naked torso, perfect for Egyptian slaves / lower-class folks, who would not have been wearing much but a loincloth. And this torso is universally applicable for natives, low-class civilians, and prehistoric people of hot areas. Ancient Civilization figs galore! :D And to top it off, we even get a miniature golden Minifig idol -- I can already see the Pharaoh wubbin' that. I'll prolly regret saying this... but some of these I want at all costs. xD -Ikk
  2. Well, I definitely see some interesting pieces there -- black hands, yellow Metru legs, some sweet helmets, especially Nat's! And stars, I hope those are recolored Glat heads, though that does sound unlikely! But overall, this is majorly underwhelming. Heck, '05 had a better array of sets than this. -_- I'll probably be saving my money, although I'm glad to see the Biopieces are continuing. -Ikk
  3. How fun it would be if, in the last episode, Mata Nui rose from beneath the Island. :D Not to get off topic. xD I wouldn't be surprised if that green cloud is Zaktan.
  4. ... diseased smoke monster!
  5. The Great Beings built an Earth-sized Universe Robot for... this? -_- Talk about an overreaction. I told ya, scales are messed up by these people!
  6. To get our collective minds of the droolworthy images of could-have-been sets -- a chapter on the Toa Mata is up on Bionicle.com. Nifty art, as always! -Ikk
  7. Stop teasing us, ye cruel man!
  8. Or maybe there's a huge lack of communication between every one on the BIONICLE Team involved in depicting and describing Mata Nui, hence why he varies between being Godzilla-size and Earth-size. Not that it's not a cool pic, tho. ^_^ -Ikk
  9. Aside from the fact that every single being on the planet would have seen such a construction, building Mata Nui erect would prolly throw the planet outta orbit. I don't think these people realize that Mata Nui is about the size of South America. At least. -Ikk EDIT: Also, them domes they be a-missin'!
  10. You're right, the villains look decent -- I was referring to the small guys only, since we don't have good pics of the rest. xD Maybe I'm just spoiled because the Bara Magna sets were so good. -Ikk
  11. Eh, I don't like these, but I don't get all worked up about it. Some of the masks are really cool, though, and would look great on Agori villagers. I just personally miss the more alien look of Bionicle figures. I won't mind focusing my wallet and imagination of the Bara Magna sets rather than these. -Ikk
  12. I now know what Hero Factory sets lacks. They're not cool. -Ikk :D
  13. I love that serial! :D Finally a villain whose motivations make sense... Sahmad is definitely up there with some of the best Bionicle bad guys we've had, along with Krika and Mavrah. This is going to be a good read! The explanation for their armor color is excellent -- it's natural and fits, and is better than "a mutant leprechaun fired a super zamor at them and teleported them into a dimension where they are yellow." I also love the description of the plague. It reminds me of the Comet Ball incident, with a very cool and original twist (losing dreams). I'm guessing the Great Beings are behind this, which would be slightly redundant, but would still make for a good adventure mystery story -- to use bonesiii' terminology. I'm suprised they didn't wrap up the 2009 serials first though. Or is ROS supposed to run through 2010 too? I would hope so, there's no time to... unconvolutize it in one chapter. -Ikk
  14. Well, the 'movie' stuff is working now. Nothing special, nice animations though, but I'm kinda sick of hearing this recap for the millionth time. Great for young and confused fans though! Michael Dorn is perfect as always. -Ikk
  15. Did anyone save the Wizard World pics before they went kablooey? Oh, and I like how the characters are just copypaste from the traditional 6Team. -Ikk
  16. LOL Ahahaha, really cracked me up there. Man I love those faces and pieces they have. Not bad! -Ikk
  17. You know what -- send these arguments to Greg, because they are pretty convincing, and maybe he'll agree with yer. Worth a try says I! -Ikk
  18. Good news for all those without BM subscriptions! Actually it is completely irrelevant news given how ridiculous a set it is, but neverless, kudos to LEGO. -Ikk
  19. Whenever he posts about future stuff, he's quite cryptic in his wordings. But I suppose it's more fun than 'can't answer it'. =P
  20. Front never makes the least bit of sense. -Ikk
  21. *has massive spasms*
  22. "Bionicle has existed for many years now, and now the replacement will soon come. The replacement will be called Lego Hero Factory. Initially it'll also say 'Bionicle' on the product, but later on Lego Hero Factory will replace Bionicle 100%. Of course the toys will also be accompanied by children's clothes from Lego Wear. It'll be in fall 2010 that the first Lego Hero Factory children's clothes will come. There'll still be some Bionicle clothes, but presumably only in 2010." Sorry, even in Danish the writing style is redundant. So figures, and clothes to promote 'em! -Ikk
  23. So did anyone else think INDY IN A NUCLEAR FRIDGE at the last scene? :P All we need is a biomechanical gopher watching Mata Nui as he gets up! -Ikk
  24. Nifty info. =D Though Toa of the Mind would sound better, but whatever, really. Still a great idea. And apparently Greg is still on his I-Don't-Care spoiler spree. How frooty. -Ikk
  25. The Mata Nuians are rather limited as far as play and pose go. Aesthetically though -- oh man, there ain't nothing like 'em! -Ikk
