You know, if he's a canister set and kids still have the same tastes... ... Mata Nui... will have... a gun. -Ikk -
And bones did not put any work into his? Both are awesome, but I prefer the lightstone rifle. It's creative and looks darn spiffy. -Ikk

Which is at best 0.0002% of the entire fanbase. Actually, that's probably optimistic. But with Bionicle's story, there's always the chance of Mata Nui's spirit entering another body... -Ikk -

I personally wouldn't have minded some more action in the MNOG -- like, say, a lightstone battle against the Kofo-Jaga or an actual Koli game. Just look at how rockishly awesome the Kahu ride was! But even without that, the game featured tons and tons of exploration, something that is nearly entirely absent from Bionicle these days. Yes, the Core is a great place, the Codrex is intriguing, but there's so little time to actually run around and check out all these potentially cool things. The Pit, for instance, was a VAST and varied world of its own, completely unique from anything we'd seen before. I would've loved nothing more than a MNOG-style puzzle game in those dark depths. City of the Lost did touch upon some unique elements of the Mahri Nuian Matoran culture, such as the Council and the submarine, but there's still so much down there. I'd give anything for a tale about the adventures of Lesovikk and Sarda as they traverse the entirety of the Endless Ocean. Well, as long as it's not written by Greg anyway. -Ikk -

Glad to see yer back 'ere, mate! Goin back to the disussion about silly story / characters, I have to admit BL10 was a huge improvement over BL9, in both that respect and plenty others -- compared to the incessant dogfights in the skies with little or no progress, BL10 had a bunch of nice perspective, a minimum of cheesy lines, and a mood that actually fits a story's end; a feeling of almost hopelessness, rather then happy-go-lucky jumping around in SoS. An' creating an' expanding your own Bionicle story is one of the most fun aspects of the entire line! -Ikk -

Well, according to himself, the Lohrak thing was planned all along, though I agree it was very probably a mistake -- but like Grevious said, the guy has a thousand things in his already unstable brain. So, no biggie. And there is no such thing as a spirit storm, so if Greg said there wasn't, he'd be correct -- it's called an energy storm. Easy -- compare these two quotes (presumably you can figure out their respective origins) : "Traveler beware! Darktime come! Matau stolen, Lewa gone! Le-Matoran prepare for battleflight!" "Just once -- Just once! -- I'd like to take a trip-walk without someone trying to kill me!" HUGE difference. The latter is Kongu using a standard sentence with a few synonyms combined to make for new terms. That's ridiculously easy, that's lame, and that's the direct opposite of the unique dialect Treespeak used to be. The fact that they're from 2003 just proves his point. Greg wrote the comics back then -- he writes the books and comics now. And those lines are still being used five years later. I can't speak for Ecto, but I've read all the books and comics myself, and while there is a fair bit of entertaining dialogue, a large part simply consists of snide remarks, stereotypical jokes, and reused banter. Agreed. Especially since the comics are now illustrated versions of the books. -Ikk -

I sorta agree with him... There are a few standard so-called humorous lines that Greg uses in pretty much every comic, book, and serial, with slight variations. The rest of the dialogue is typically generic or stereotypical chatter without much depth to it. Take for instance Kongu, Lewa, and Matau -- they sound EXACTLY alike in all Greg's writings, complete with the horribly mutilated Treespeak. It basically boils down to lack of character for the most part. Fortunately there's been some memorable ones lately -- the Barraki were a large step upwards from the Piraka, and Makuta such as Krika or Icarax win a lot of points by not talking silly. "I r haev no friens! Onli enmies I havnt eated yet!" -Ikk -

Greg had zip to do with the movies -- back then, he just wrote comics and the occasional book. -Ikk -

Then we certainly can't be bothered to believe you. Aaaaaanyway... The more I look at the Mistika Makuta, the more I want them. Sure, Bitil and Gorast need a bunch of modding, but they're plenty better than the Toa of this summer. -Ikk -

No offense, mate, but you seem to bring up a lot of unfounded claims here -- Greg's lying, BS01's 'bestness', etc., all seemingly because you don't like the persons in question. It'd really help a lot if you'd be able to give some proof to back up the claims. -Ikk -

Not all the logic in the world can prevent me from seeing things. Looking at the prototype pics again, they do indeed look silver. Ah well, pretty nifty. -Ikk -

We all do. ... In other words, all summer sets but the Mistika themselves are on S@H here in ol' Denmark... still drooling over Krika and needing Bitil for those gorgeous limbs, but haven't seen 'em anywhere. May check the local area one of those days, hopefully. And who knew Onua had SILVER Rahkshi legs? -Ikk -

I do love the builds of those vehicles, but what made the Rahi & early robots so attractive was, IMO, that they both had ingenious construction AND awesome looks. To me, these flying things frankly look bland. What'd be much more interesting would be Rahi-like vehicles, like the Vahki Transport -- with wings, legs, and such features. Which is why I love the Swamp Strider so much -- it resembles a giant beast with a turret. Great combination. And nice Vamprah you got there! -Ikk -

I can't believe people still fall for that myth. He never said Makuta wasn't in Maxilos. Simple as that. And no, he did not say Mata Nui wasn't the universe either. Where do you hear these things? -Ikk -

Which is worse -- Klakk, Helryx, or Glatorian? Compared to current names, Glatorian actually isn't THAT bad. It's just incredibly not Bionicle. -Ikk
