  1. Nice layout LEGO Train 12 Volts. I love the railroad building pictures at the begining of the post. Looks great at night and nice motion capture pictures
  2. Great job Sabrien Reed. I love the blood SNOT techinques you used. I love watching the show Dexter. I've been told I look like Michael C. Hall. Can't wait to see the ambulance and the new version of the tower. Long live the classics!
  3. Done. Nice easy survey. I wish my city had a LUG. Maybe if TLG put a LEGO store on the strip, it might help to motivate one....
  4. Nice trailer fullnovembermoon! I like the lime green color of the trailer matching the pin stripe of the RV. Plus all the accessories make it easy for them to go cross country.
  5. That car is a B Unit. Basically it is an engine with no cab unit. If build one expect to pay a pretty penny for the gray porthole windows. You could use the much cheaper red ones or take a 1x2x3 trans clear panel and make your own gray porthole decal. Hope this helped and good luck with the set. Post pics when you're finshed.
  6. Hopefully you'll be able to squeze out some much needed info LT. Good luck
  7. Hmm I hope that minfig is soldering 9 volt metal to that rail. This is gonna be a good week with this release coinciding with the release of the Maersk Train. Can't wait to see the prices this week.
  8. What an amazing train. I can not wait to get a copy of this set. Now all we need is a container crane in Maersk Blue to match.
  9. Darn, oh well. It was fun seeing the new entries everyday. Congrates to the winners and everyone else for their amazing containers. Time to countdown for the release of the Maersk Train this Friday!
  10. is waiting for packages from Bricklink.

  11. This post explains the problem your describing. Basically the error is you're not using a url ending in a image extension(I.e. .gif, .jpeg, etc.) Right-click view image in firefox, or right-click properties in IE, to get the image url. Back the main topic, great containers so far. I love checking this topic daily and will keep checking in the final days. Great job everyone.
  12. You can try hosting it at an image hosting site like Brickshelf. We're only allowed to upload 100k per member due to high amount of members. Here is a list of tutorials to help further. Good luck
  13. Nice little freight cars. Way to use your resources. You gonna make a shunter loco for the freight or just combine it all into one? Great job.
  14. Nice super sized cars. Maybe using turntable on the axles will help with navigating. I use them on my single axle cars longer than 16 studs. Great way to use clearanced legos!
  15. My Wal-mart that I work at had 7566 and other fall impulse sets on clearance for 50 cents so i bought 3 sets of 7566 and then I decided to make a Pig Transport Container for my entry. Here we are loading the lil' piggies into the container. Here is a pic of the comforts inside the container. (Sorry the 2nd pic was taken at night and all of the pics were taken with my Android cellphone.) More Pics on My Brickshelf when moderated. Enjoy
  16. I hope it's official soon. Lego will probably make it official after Maersk train is released in April. Then we'll know for sure how much it's gonna hurt our wallets for this nice little PF maintance train.
  17. The red versions of the white ones should keep it in scale especially if you use red 1x2x2 train windows on the side of the cab. That should help for a clean look. I love shunting locos and this one looks great so far. The mini-fig friendly detailed cab looks awesome too. Can not wait to see this completed by april. Good luck for the train show lightningtiger!
  18. Nice start so far lightningtiger. Pieces shold be easy to obtain using common blue and yellow colors after you have the design laid out of course. Can not wait to see it finished! Will this be the loco going around your layout next month at the train show?
  19. Wow what a lovely looking steam switcher! I think I would look nice on the same track as EN. Switching freight cars or being a station pliot for passenger service. Bricklink is easy to work with. Just create an account then make a wanted list of all the keys pieces you need. Then when your in stores you can click the link 'show all items on my wanted list' to see what pieces on your list they have in stock. Bricklink is nice for hard to find pieces but remeber shipping costs add up especially overseas and over a kilogram! Can not wait to see it brick built
  20. I agree with this statement. 7747 was not on the top of my list but I wanted it when I saw it was half off on S@H. I did not like the design of the trailer to the truck and the trailer's rear axle lifted off the ground. I modified the design of the 5th wheel to level the trailer's axles. The transport runs well now on flat surfaces.
  21. When I was 5 my cousin out grew his Lego collection and gave it to me in a red Lego suitcase (I wish I still had) back in 1995. From then on my mom would buy me and my brother small to mid-size sets from wal-mart and kmart. No TRU in my small rural hometown. The sets were mostly town and, my favorite theme at the time, Aquazone. My favorite set at the time was 6562 Gas Stop Shop my mom got at a discount at kmart. I have always wanted Lego trains since I saw the Cargo Railway in the 1996 catalog but they were always out of my parents' price range. It was not until I was out of my dark ages at the end of high school in '07 that I got my first 9 volt sets. I got 4537 Twin Tank Transport and an oval of track with a motor and regulator on eBay for under $50. If I had a credit card at the time I could've gotten a TTX and possible a BNSF GP-38. Now I collect City and Train sets along with 9 volt track and classic town sets from my childhood. This past week I got a set of 8 straight track and my first switch track from eBay and bricklink respectively.
  22. When I was growing up, my parents gave us HO scale trains versus the expensive lego train sets. We had 2 UP SD-40s and a C&O switcher with plently of freight cars. Also we had two layouts running at once.
  23. I always spring the arrow upon my friends and co-workers whenever I see one of these trucks or trailers. I try to get them 'cursed' like me everytime. Nice truck dr_spock. Makes me want to build my own for my town. Good job with the nice Fedex decals.
  24. Nice little steamer so far Rustie86. Can't wait to see it after the replacement parts come in. Going to make some custom decals for you prairie? Great job.
  25. I'm going to school to be a automotive/mechanical engineer and I'm barely half way there. I love working with my hands thus I love to work on cars and trucks. I hope someday I can work on the big diesels in locos. Legos is one of my favorite hobbies plus I like to tinkering with my computers and electronics in my video games.
