I have to say... . You've captured it perfectly. I love how you managed the front and the side door/seat. If this were a set, I'd pay out the nose for it. I wish I still had my van from my childhood now. Is there any chance we can see more pictures from more angles?

Eurobricks’ Super Hero Comic Cover Contest The contest:The first thing that draws any comic buyer to a comic book is the fantastic artwork on the cover. What we want you to do here is take an iconic (or obscure, your choice) comic cover and recreate it in LEGO form. Need an example? EB Member Moop made this back in April. The Rules Recreate an actual Comic Book cover in LEGO! The cover must have been published by a comic book publisher such as DC or Marvel. No drawing your own just to make it out of LEGO. It must involve Super Heroes. Since the end result being judged is the picture, there are no actual size limits to what you can build except what you can photograph. It is highly recommended that you put a lot of effort into the actual photo. That is what will be judged. CLARIFIED RULE Because TLG has not made every possible Super Hero or Villain even within the licenses they have rights to, custom minifigures are allowed. As a rule of thumb, a casual observer should recognize that a custom figure is LEGO. If you need a more measurable rule, the custom minifigure should be comprised of at least 60% LEGO parts. No clone brands are allowed Custom decals, stickers, cut outs and official TLG stickers are allowed. Custom parts like those from BricksArms, BrickForge, and other after-market companies are allowed as long as their manufacturer is credited in the entry. There is no parts limit as long as it all fits within the scene. There is no limit to the amount of minifigures used. All official LEGO minifigures and parts are permitted. Entries are to be posted in individual topic by the participant, titled "SH-CCC: Insert Title of your entry", and tagged with "Comic Cover Contest". One entry per person. An entry must include a picture (no larger than 800x600) showing the comic cover recreation. You should also include a picture of the actual original cover (or a link to it) so that voters may compare it with your entry. You may include additional pictures of your creation from other angles but the first picture should be the actual entry. (No additional pictures should be larger than 800x600) Digital backgrounds are not allowed since the background would be part of the recreation. Use LEGO. A solid backdrop may show through. NEW RULE: Do not add anything digitally to the photo to make it resemble the cover more closely. You may tweak the lighting and such to make the image clearer but do not add special effects or the words to your image. The point of the contest is to recreate the cover with LEGO not Photoshop. No webcam or cellphone camera images can be used for the submitted entry. Show off your Comic Cover with decent photography and crop your picture to make it look like a true Comic Book Cover. No LDD entries. Upload your images onto a dedicated image hosting website such as Brickshelf, Flickr, etc. Do not use Eurobricks attachment to upload your images. The contest begins... NOW! The contest will end on November 30 at midnight GMT. Voting will begin immediately after that and will last 7 days. New entries only. Don't reuse any MOCs for this. Any registered Eurobricks member may participate, excluding myself. Voting however, will only be open to members who have registered before the posting of these rules. Any violation of the rules or the spirit of good sportsmanship will be subject to disqualification at the discretion of EB Staff. The Voting! At the end of the entry period, a posting topic will appear listing the eligible entries. Members who joined prior to the start of the contest will then be able to post how they wish to use their 3 points to vote for the entries they like best. A single entry may receive all 3 points, or the points may be divided between 2 or 3 entries, however the voter wishes. Detailed voting rules will be announced at the start of the voting. Members who joined after the start of the competition may choose to enter but may not vote. The Prizes! After 7 days, the votes will be calculated and the top vote recipients will be declared the winners. 1st place: 6863 6866 2nd place: 6862 6865 3rd place: 6865 6858 If you have any questions about the contest or the rules, you may ask them in this thread. Your entry should be it’s own topic as described in the rules above. That’s it. Good luck! You can ask any questions about the contest in this thread.

Best lego design program?
CorneliusMurdock replied to piterx's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I've moved your topic to a more appropriate forum. You'll get more help here. Also, please use proper capitalization and punctuation in the future. Thank you. -
Watch the language please. And lets stay away from referencing genitalia when referring to minifigs. I don't care if someone else said it first.

Thanks to both Zepher for letting me change the Splinter's name and to Etzel for letting me use the High Priestess to do so.

Cronk walks out of the hall and comes to the Temple Of Ennoc. The High Priestess seems to be waiting at the entrance. "I had thought you would come, Sir Cronk. Follow me." In the heart of the temple, an altar has been prepared. A dozen priests and priestesses stand around it. "Place it upon the altar, Sir Cronk." Cronk puts the Splinter of Ennoc upon the altar. Those gathered begin chanting as the High Priestess steps towards the altar and raises her arms toward the statue of Ennoc. Just as the chanting reaches it's crescendo, blinding light bursts forth from the broken shard and swirls towards the heavens. Then there is silence. The other priests and priestesses file out of the room and Cronk is left alone with the High Priestess. "Ennoc has waited a long time to be whole once more, Sir Cronk. You have done very well." That is kind for High Priestess to say. But Cronk does not feel like Cronk do very well. "Take heart, my friend. The path is not easy but we must do our best to follow it. I know you have. And so does Ennoc." She walks back up to the altar. What was the Splinter is now a smooth shining piece of crystal with a small hole in it. It no longer thrums with the power of a part of a god but it still seems to have some power to it. The High Priestess picks it up and gingerly hands it to Cronk. "Take this, Ennoc's Gratitude (Artifact, Accessory, User Perma-Blessed, Requires Light Weapon), for doing a great service for the Righteous Light. I wish you well, Sir Cronk. May Ennoc guide you on the true path." Cronk begins to walk back to the hall but stops at a roadside stall selling jewelery. He buys a silver chain and threads Ennoc's Gratitude upon it. Cronk then fastens it around his neck and keeps walking.

A quest for the Order? Cronk sign up for Quest 49. That remind Cronk... Cronk has something Cronk need to do.

I already told the original poster that Assassin's Creed discussion doesn't belong here. So stop talking about it here. This thread is for discussing Rumors. NOT wishes. There's another thread for dream licenses.
-
Thanks. I was hoping that was the case.
-
No, the reason it doesn't let me use a shield is because I'm dual wielding like a boss! Thanks for answering. New question, you don't have to spend a turn to switch weapons but do you have to spend a turn to equip a shield or an artifact?
-
This is not the thread for personal wish lists. If there were anything close to resembling a rumor of it, I'm sure it would have been posted by now.
-
Thanks so much, Dharkan! JimB, since you made them, how exactly do the Twin Broadswords work? Is it like being hastened or does one roll determine if the attack strikes both enemies?
-
Cronk will indeed bash much evil with the swords. Cronk thanks Isabella once again.
-
Yes I realize that now, CMP. I don't know why I was thinking it was an emerald. Not my finest moment. Is that still okay, Dharkan?
-
Cronk says hello to blacksmith Anwyl. Cronk just need Opal taken out of Beast Skewer please. Cronk gives Anwyl 50 gold. (265-50=215) Cronk thanks Anwyl.
-
EDIT 2: OOC: Shoot, when I went to edit my stats I realized that it was an Opal in Beast Skewer not an Emerald. Is that okay Dharkan? Hooray! Give Cronk a moment to go get Opal out lance. Edit: That not take very long. Cronk gives Isabella 150 gold, an Opal, and Heavy Armor (SP:6, Power -6). Cronk then receives the Twin Broadswords. Cronk thanks Isabella for trading.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

You do mean to be a mini-mod. Stop. While I think they could ask all their questions at once instead of drawing them out into dozens of posts, it's on topic. Otherwise I would have stopped it myself. -
Hello Cronk's friends. Oh, Tesni, Cronk almost forgot. Cronk gives Tesni 50 gold. Cronk knows how expensive Essences are and Cronk is thankful that Tesni was willing to use one on Cronk and on Cronk's new friend Bal. Oh, hello, Isabella. Cronk sees Isabella still has Twin Broadswords. Cronk want to make one last offer for swords. Cronk will give Isabella 150 gold, an Emerald (after it is removed from Cronk's Beast Skewer), and Heavy Armor (SP:6, Power -6).

Heroica RPG - Quest Masters' Lounge
CorneliusMurdock replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Where to start? Your characters are always amazing, Zepher. You're able to make each one unique and like-able. Even the evil ones. I'm still confused as to why the cleric wants to call himself a wizard, but if the crazy old man wants to that's his prerogative. I love how each member of the old party not only fulfilled a specific role in a questing party but there was such a camaraderie amongst them that made the whole situation much more dramatic. And Bal. I'm already a sucker for Ewoks but I just wanted to hug the little guy. He's the lowest level of his entire party but he's the one to get the jump on the angel and he does it for his friends. I have to say that I didn't feel all that railroaded. Sure, we couldn't go wandering all around and do whatever we wanted but it made sense for this sort of quest. We already knew where we were going and it just flowed to find the clues and lost party members as we did. You did allow us plenty of time to interact between battles and you never rushed us to our next objective. The battles were imaginative. The Knight was the weakest battle but I think we got extra lucky in that one the round after he got healed and encouraged. Plus it was sort of unfair that almost all of us had the elemental advantage on him. The priest fight was particularly hard after that and was counter-intuitive to win. The Chaos beast almost won when we didn't act tactfully enough. The angel battle was only won because we learned our lesson from that. It was quite a challenge with the Angel and Aura's protecting each other. And then there was the final battle. I really didn't think we'd win it after the Splinter took over. Cronk's luck is always bad enough without having to face a lucky enemy while Jinxed. I kind of feel like we cheated at the end there. The only alternative would have been to let Triad do all the fighting and that would have taken even longer if it worked at all. I did realize that Wren was going to take the amulet. Probably later than everyone else. I also thought that maybe she was disguised as McColt. The guy goes on a quest without a sword? What a noob. But there really wasn't a way for us to stop Wren from getting it. It would have spoiled the lovely plot for the next quest. I felt that I was given a lot to roleplay against this whole quest. Cronk had to face down a part of his own god. And it's demented servants. I love that he rose to the occasion and didn't lose faith in Ennoc, though at the end he may have lost a little faith in himself. And the Splinter will keep on giving good RP. I hope to resolve some of that when I find the time. So to sum up.... Thanks, Zepher, for another amazing quest. I'm so glad Cronk was chosen to participate in it.
