  1. Unvote: Misty Monroe Vote: Mr. Nowhere
  2. Since we don't have any good night results, what else should we base our votes on? I knew the bearded lady and you, sir, are no bearded lady. You've been unhelpful and completely disrespectful of Martin's death.
  3. I still say you're bad rubbish. Vote: Misty Monroe / Badboytje88
  4. My entry is up. Critique is welcome. I plan on making some more people to go in it and then taking more pictures by this weekend some time. So any implementable suggestions would be preferred before then.
  5. Wizard Duel Round 3 Walter Kovacs | 1------Vs.-----Johann Peterschmut | 4 Mid ~ 0 -------------------- Expelliarmus ~ 0 Expelliarmus ~ 1 ----------------------- Protego ~ 0 High ~ 0 ----------------------- Mid ~ 1 Mid ~ 0 ------------------- Crucio ~ 1 Crucio ~ 1 ----------------------- Low ~ 0 Health: 0 --------------------- Health: 3 Walter winces as he regains his feet and aims a spell at Johann's midsection but before he finishes it is disarmed by the Slytherin. Kovacs dives and catches his wand and disarms Peterschmut whose Protego charm falters. A shot to the Ravenclaws chest ends the duel as Johann quickly flees in case Filch has heard the commotion. Update your profiles accordingly.
  6. But people are dying, folks. If there are no sinisters, who's killing people? Or are we saying that all the killers are "independants"? The only things that Henry's told us for sure is that there are a prime number of sinisters and that whoever killed Martin was a patient. Where does that leave us?
  7. Wizard Duel Round 2 Walter Kovacs | 4------Vs.-----Johann Peterschmut | 4 Expelliarmus ~ 0 -------------------- Expelliarmus ~ 1 Crucio ~ 0 ----------------------- Crucio ~ 1 Protego ~ 0 ----------------------- Low ~ 0 Low ~ 0 ------------------- Protego ~ 0 High ~ 0 ----------------------- High ~ 1 Health: 1 --------------------- Health: 4 Walter finds his wand again and tries to disarmhis opponent but the Slytherin is a step ahead and disarms him first. The Ravenclaw catches his wand in mid air and tries the cruciatus curse but once again is too slow for Johann casts it first. Walter writhes in pain and recovering blocks a follow up spell from Johann. Peterschmut then blocks an attack from Kovacs. They then both cast a high spell at each other but Johann's overpower's Walter's spell and the Ravenclaw is shoved up against the corridor wall. Hmm. I wonder if the Admiral is using the same "strategy" as you Walter. Send for round 3 when ready.
  8. The final product shouldn't be too different. I probably will add some shoppers and tweak some small things. Yeah, the staircase is one of the first things I decided on for this building. I got the idea from a MOC here on EB (I don't remember whose it was a while ago) and played around with it a while before getting it right. The problem is photographing it. It does look pretty good in real life. As for the color scheme, I thought I did limit my color palette... I needed the black and white on the outside because not only was I running out of green, but I don't have some special bricks in green. For example, The white 1x1 nearest the second story window has a stud on one side and is the only thing holding the window in. I do have an lxf file for this, too. I wanted to make sure I was under the piece limit so I built it in LDD as well. I was told, though, to wait for the end of the contest before posting it.
  9. When Arsenius Jigger, author of Magical Draughts and Potions and Defence Against the Dark Arts, decided to open an Apothecary in Diagon Alley, he knew that he couldn't do it alone. Enter Remedios Slug, one of Jigger's oldest friends. Her business savvy perfectly balances the big picture thinking of Jigger. Together they make their apothecary a great success, even becoming one of the favorite places of great potioneers like alchemist Nicholas Flamel for purchasing rare and high quality ingredients. One side of the building. The front of the apothecary. Remedios Slug helps a customer on the first floor while Arsenius Jigger begins down the stairs with a small vial of dragon's blood. Here noted alchemist Nicholas Flamel picks out some choice potion ingredients on the second floor. Here's the best picture I can get of the staircase without ripping the building apart.
  10. Good duel, Ceroknight. You had a pretty good first round and if I didn't have Natural Talent, you might have had me. Thanks for the Adj, Walter. Haven't received your second DS btw.
  11. Wizard Duel Round 1 Walter Kovacs | 5------Vs.-----Johann Peterschmut | 5 High ~ 0 -------------------- Protego ~ 0 High ~ 0 ----------------------- Mid ~ 1 Expelliarmus ~ 0 ----------------------- Crucio ~ 0 Crucio ~ 1 ------------------- Low ~ 0 High ~ 0 ----------------------- Expelliarmus ~ 0 Health: 4 --------------------- Health: 4 The misguided Ravenclaw, Walter Kovacs, tracks down his Slytherin nemesis in the third floor corridor between classes. Johann sees him coming and puts up a shield charm just as Kovacs casts a spell at his head. Peterschmut retaliates with a mid blow that connects and sends the Ravenclaw into a suit of armor. Pieces of the suit clatter everywhere as the Slytherin tries a cruciatus curse but Johann's wand shows itself from the pile of armor and disarms his opponent. As Johann searches for his wand, Walter arises from the armor and casts his own cruciatus curse. Spasming in pain on the floor, Johann inches towards his wand and finallly makes it. He turns over and disarms Walter breathing a sigh of relief as the curse breaks. Send for round 2 when ready.
  12. Yes, Walter, very well documented.
  13. Thanks, Walter. DS sent. So you know, Ceroknight, I've not used Expelliarmus or stupefy. Doesn't feel right to squash a first year like that.
  14. Okay but don't say I didn't warn you. Is someone willing to adjudicate?
  15. Vote: Ted Tompkins/WhiteFang Sorry, Ted but you claim to not be active at night but you don't seem active during the day either. Being able to protect yourself is all well and good but you have to play sometime. We could have used the help of a genius the last few days to figure this whole thing out but you've given us nothing.
  16. I will trust the mayor's judgment. Vote: Chief Ryan Phelps/JimButcher There are still some things I'd like to know about Laura Jefferson's death but him wantin' the case closed all those years ago seems really suspicious. He would also have had access to the morgue.
  17. But I thought Patrick's alibi was that he was in DC at the time of his wife's murder? If he wasn't here, why were you deliverin' a message to him? Or has he lied about where he was? Were you successful in deliverin' that message? I'm afraid this only muddies the water more. Um, did you want someone else to tell you what happened to the lifeguard? Last I checked you were still running the show.
  18. Dolores, do you happen to remember who you were delivering the message from Senator Flynn to?
  19. I have to agree with Sal. I don't see anyone else working as hard to figure things out as Jesus. Everything he's done has been backed up by what we thoguht were solid leads mostly provided by people other than Jesus. The only thing I think we have to go on is Rajim's picture of Martin's death. I personally also trust Diem and we've never been given any indication that Mr. Nowhere can change his skin color. I'm much more inclined to think it would be the remaining twin.
  20. Congrats to the winners and thanks to the judges and organizers. There were a lot of wonderfully funny entries!
  21. Saying a staff member must be a sinister makes about as much sense as saying someone in a particular room is sinister. Statistically, it's likely that a staff member is sinister but I don't think we should vote of all the staff members just to see. We know there's at least a few sinisters in the entire asylum should we vote off everyone randomly just to make sure? That being said if we have suspicions about a staff member already, it might be okay to vote for one. I certainly don't think they're all saints. As far as Ted goes, when he asked a while ago for a brief synopsis of what was going on, I did contact him. I figured why not, right? He did mention then that he was special in a way that didn't really help anyone else but helped himself. I think what Ted is saying now matches what he said then. Sounds just as likely as anything else that's happened in this place. I'm gonna go gather my thoughts for a while.
  22. I think what we need to decide is if Petey was just wrong again about his ability or if he was deliberately misleading us.
  23. Since you moved the time back, can you tell us how much time we have left? Unvote: Dolores/ Def I have some considering left to do.
  24. Unless you're saying you were working for someone else on the side? What superiors are you referrin' to, Chief?
