Considering the entire movie is based around them and Bilbo, I should hope so. Whether they'll all be in the first wave is more iffy. Lego may spread them out between a couple waves. Hopefully Lego will make all the different beards. I'm looking forward to Bofur's hat as well.

Here's alternative plan. Tomas and Glorfindel can get back in ballista and try to hit last infantry and not be around for free hits. Elgar can also stay with archers. Then Cronk and Leo can stay in back row for next round. Cronk can throw bomb. How does plan sound, friends?

Don't stress too much about it. Most of us will be busy during christmas anyway, so if we have to take a short break it's not terrible.

I hope you don't mind all the out of character posts in the quest, Etzel. Since this is the first battle of it's kind I think we're all just trying to figure out how exactly it works. I am really enjoying it. The way it's set up, I feel like a general left to make a last stand defending the town.

OOC: Cronk's shield should have absorbed the damage from the free hits. Since he's in the back row, each only deals 4 and the shield's SP just takes care of it. Also is Leo in the battle when he raises the flag as far as free hits are concerned? Cronk think Elgar should regroup with archers. Leo should raise flag. Tomas should heal self before anyone else. Party will abandon the ballista for now and leave remaining infantry for Archers to deal with. So Tomas and Glorfindel will Join Cronk on wall. Friends cannot abandon post, friend Tomas. Party has signed on to defend Tanco, and party will do so or die trying.

All right. Leo, go get flag. Hurry, Friend! Cronk will hold enemies off for few rounds. Elgar, this round Elgar must stay with Cronk and may get hit a couple times. Lay down in back row. Congratualtions to all the winners! Thanks to WhiteFang and The Penguin for organizing this contest. We saw a lot of great Batman MOCs that probably wouldn't have been built otherwise.

I know I'm not going to be able to afford all the sets I want next year. With any luck, the 2013 sets will all be crummy and then I can catch up on 2012... It's great if Lego can still make room for a traditional Castle theme. Lego seems to be all about spreading around happiness next year.

OOC: One question, will those manning the ballista get hit with free hits or only those on the wall fighting them? This tough, nothing ever easy for Cronk... Tomas and Glorfindel, remain at the ballista and prepare to fire. Cronk have to decide which other friend to send.

Cronk believes Elgar is stunned and cannot do anything this round. So Elgar switching with Tomas cannot work. Friends may have to stick with battle this round without healing. Cronk ask archer if any horses left in stable or if there is an alarum bell? Or failing either of those, if they have some kind of messenger bird?

I cant vote in that poll... Just kidding. I did. Although you did force me to decide whether I actually like the theme or not. I went with not liking the theme mainly because the sets don't really appeal to me (except for that little robot in the science-y set. ). So really what this theme needs is more robots. It's funny what becomes "controversial" on the internet. I really don't think Lego hasn't reinforced gender roles any more than any other toy company. The saving grace of Lego is that these Friends sets still contain a good deal of building. They at least admit that girls can enjoy constructing things, and are just as capable of building with Lego as boys. To the pastel color palette, I say "meh". They're still bricks. As for the arguments here, let's let the Nazi talk die. Comparing things to Nazis is a lazy and weak argument. And the more they are brought up in arguments like this, the more it trivializes all the atrocities Nazis committed. If you want to argue, argue. Just keep things in perspective.

I'd be willing to play if you need more players, Hinck. I'm fine with watching from the sidelines as well. Great that it'll finally get an ending!
