Heroica RPG - Quest #23: Guarding the Guards
CorneliusMurdock replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
When Auntie says "vault", does Auntie mean "cool place with good loot" or "portal to hell that unleashes unfathomable evil"? Cronk think Cronk already knows answer but Cronk just want to make sure before Cronk gets depressed about situation. -

Well that sort of anti-climactic... Cronk suppose friends should go return it to Auntie Quarry. -
If you have them uploaded off-site, send me the links to them and I can deeplink them for you. Other than that if you tell us something more about the problem you're having it will be easier to help you.

You quoted all of that to just to make fun of a typo? Please stick to the topic at hand. -
If you can post what your problem is, maybe someone can help. Are you trying to upload it directly to EB? Try using Flickr or Brickshelf. Both are easy to use and free.

Cronk not like chest going boom. Cronk will heal Cronk, Nyx, Atramor, and Rufindel before next bad thing has chance to happen. Cronk meditated enough last battle so Rufindel can save ether. -
Red Moon 2: Chapter 7

Some people never learn. Once again I will dodge the pushing and push Tony in the pool again. A demon wouldn't need weapons. If the roster wasn't just for guests than nothing about the vision points to me. Sylvia's whole argument is that my name would never have been on the list anyway. -

Almost forgot to place votes. For the general group vote, I'm going to place my trust in: Vote: Penny Maltese (Peppermint_M) For the challenge Clue: Vote: Ingrid Peck (iamded) Vote: Penny Maltese (Peppermint_M) Vote: Donna Falcon (Dannylonglegs) Vote: Richard Sexton (Mrlegoninja) Vote: Diana Mantino (Fugazi) When you're not sure whom to trust, picking 5 people is hard. -

I'm not saying that the odds make you more likely to be the demon than me, just that you're one of the ones pushing at me and I know I'm not a demon. If I'm going to be set up, it'll be by demons and that's the reason I don't trust you. I did as much as you did, puddle sniffer. And the things I tried actually made sense. Somehow that makes you look innocent but I "never really did that much". You were sniffing puddles, Sparky. I'd call that much more suspicious. Who would have a heightened sense of smell to where smelling blood might actually do some good? A demon. If the roster was only people on the tour, why would he be surprised that my name wasn't on it and what would that prove to him? If the roster was only ever for guests, my name would never be on it. He made it sound like the demon's name not being on the list was strange. Your entire line of reasoning is faulty there. -

That's some mark up. Makes TRU look almost honest. My order from Walmart left the warehouse and still sets the arrival window as this Sat-Wed. I have to stop myself from checking the tracking site every five minutes. -

Cronk not care about getting book. It funny to think of Cronk bashing evil with literature but Cronk have nice sword already. Cronk not have opinion about venom either. Whatever friend Nyx decide is fine with Cronk. -

Not singling you out. Just a general reminder. That sort of thing tends to be forgotten when a fresh batch of pictures shows up. Along with max pic size guidelines. -

People, let's stop quoting images. They are already in the thread so we'll all know what you're referring to. Quoting images just takes up unnecessary bandwidth and makes it harder for those on slower connection speeds to read these topics. -

I've warned people about using that word as an insult before. If you want to get into a discussion of funny versus stupid, we can start with that. In other words stop using that word. Adults don't make fun of the handicapped. -

I ordered the Captain America, Wolverine, and Hulk sets from Walmart yesterday and they now say they've shipped. Estimated arrival is Saturday. I wasn't sure if they were going to try to time it to where it arrived on the fourth since that was the date it was available for in-store pickup. I suspect that april 4 just happens to be the date they are supposed to arrive in stores. Distribution being what it is, though, it's entirely possible that some Walmarts will stock them slightly earlier. -

3. I shared the first two before we had any idea what they meant. The victim theory was made after I revealed my clues. Check your facts. If you remember, I was hesitant to bring up the second one because I thought it might point to a murderer and my two together would have pointed to me. 5. Or the current demon was a human directing all the freaky statues and stuff and was only turned into a demon recently. Only the "original demon" knows, and that's not me since I'm not a demon at all. -

3. Not only did I look for clues but I shared them as well. Even the ones that could have pointed to me. If I was a demon, I'd have known what the puddles were. Why would I give out color clues that point to either one of those puddles being me? I did it so that all of you would be correctly informed as to what clues they were. 5. So now you're saying the demon could convert before the game started waking up in this room? Didn't think conversions worked like that. Again a convenient way to explain away something that doesn't fit neatly into your case. -

I've numbered the paragraphs so I don't have to break up the quote to respond. So time consuming. 1. Admitting that you have a problem is the first step to recovery. So kudos for taking that first step. 2. Yes. Sitting back quietly avoiding detection and not really helping. Could be that you didn't think that'd work anymore so you tried a new strategy. 3. What do you mean I've done nothing? From the very beginning of this ordeal I've been zealously searching for clues. I've done nothing but search for the demon while you were no where to be found. When you did grace us with your presence, you put forth the theory that the demon had to be among those who were active which, surprise, was not a group you were currently a part of. Suddenly, I'm the one who has done nothing. 4. What, you'd never do something dumb if you were a demon? I'm sure everyone would like to think that they'd never do something dumb. But your strategy isn't dumb. You've constructed a very sturdy house of cards. I just don't believe it, because I have the knowledge that I'm not a demon so I know you're conclusion is wrong. 5. That doesn't jive with your theory. The first puddle was here when we arrived in this room. Wouldn't it have belonged to the original demon? So unless I'm wearing dark blue underwear, that can't be me. Let's look at your "vision" some more. Willoughby just happens to show up and tell you a clue that directly points to me and only me? Almost every other clue that's been recieved has been like a giant game of "Guess Who?". All of a sudden you get this miracle game-breaking clue? It also contradicts the original vision of Willoughby's death. Was that first one that we all saw wrong? If only guests were on that list, why did the demon kill Willoughby and steal the list? -

Thanks for taking the time to double back and fix your errors "clarify". Not really surprising to me that you couldn't get it right the first time. Setting someone up to be the fall guy must be hard. What a load of crap. Convenient, too, since one of the flaws in your case was you placing so much trust in Chris. [sarcasm] You don't sound like you're making it up as you go along at all. [/sarcasm] I didn't really think that you were the demon before but with all of this you're making me reconsider that someone merely played you. -

Finally you decide to give me something to argue against. I'll rebut each point individually. 1.) I'm sorry but clues that actually investigate seem stupid to me. This is a mystery after all. Where's the deduction? Investigation results turn this into something quite different. Clues like that may actually exist but color me skeptical that it would be so easy to find demons. So for the first clue, we have Chris' word that this is the case. Need I remind you that Chris is also one of the group that was deemed "untrustworthy". Sure his conversion theory seems to pan out based on the evidence we have but that would be easy for a demon to tell us this if he thought someone was on to him. Makes him seem trustworthy but it could be an act. Also easy to fake an investigation clue to try to pin blame on someone else. Especially when finding two "demons" proves his theory. I'd also like to point out your bolded text here. One minute you're saying that red gems are bad and then you say your own gem is bad. 2.) Again, you haven't told us the source of the clue, but you assume it must be trustworthy. Even if this one is, you'd need both clues to be confirmed from coming from trustworthy people to have even circumstantial evidence. Pardon me if I don't think my gem being tossed in the pool twice with two groups automatically makes me a demon. 3.) Me being the security detail shouldn't have come as a shock. I've been security since the beginning and look I'm wearing a uniform. It's not a claim, it's a fact. As for your vision, I was on the bus, too. ALL of us here were. How does what he said make sense? And why would he contradict what his vision said earlier. Sounds fishy to me. Are you sure it was the real Willoughby? Maybe the demon has a one time action meant to confuse people. I will use my training in security to dodge Tony's attack and push him in instead. Is that how it is now. I've been working hard to figure this thing out since the beginning. And now suddenly, based on these vague claims, I'm suddenly the bad guy? If it was that easy to figure out who the demon was, why isn't there some way in place to get rid of me? Cause I'm sure an outed demon would just sit patiently and wait for the end. [sarcasm]And yeah, based on all this, let's give Chris and Sylvia all the rest of the clues. [/sarcasm] -
