  1. Whether or not Alex should have left some for others isn't the point of this thread. Let's stop this before it begins. Also, Alex, please stop boasting about the great number of polybags you've bought. It's getting dangerously close to appearing like you're advertising your Bricklink store in this thread.
  2. Not too thrilled about the polybags. Both Thor and Hawkeye are in a couple sets already. These could have been the opportunity to release Fury.
  3. I wouldn't have kept my vote on Charles if I didn't think he looked more suspicious to me than Bess. So I can unvote Charles and Bess gets lynched, whether I vote for her or not. Sounds great. That would be a random lynching on my part. I think the only information we have to work with here is the respective defenses of both candidates. I felt Bess put up a better defense. So I left my vote on who I believe likely to be scum based on the information we have. People can throw out the word "random" and "odds" and make themselves look smart but at the end of the day, we're not using the best weapon we, as a group, have for getting rid of scum. And that just doesn't sit well with me. But what do I know? I'm old. I'm just going to reserve the right to say "I told you so" when we have nothing better to go on tomorrow. If I can remember to say it.
  4. Crud, I knew there was something I forgot... to vote. Congratulations to all the winners and for Fangy and Rufus for running another successful contest!
  5. Yes, an awesome plan. Let's all be sure to be as proactive in the future and we'll be sure to take the scum down. Fairon pointed out that no one seems to care if Bess is lynched. Really? Is she being lynched? No. I can't help but feel that the scum have gotten what they wanted for today. I don't think any of us are 100% certain of her guilt or of Charles' guilt. But sitting around and doing nothing gets us nothing. So tomorrow that's exactly what we'll have, nothing. Except the scum will have taken one of us out. And then what will we do, hope that someone comes forward with evidence? Or hope that one of the scum will slip up? Shanalon can argue odds of lynching scum all day long but it all comes down to the fact that the odds of getting rid of scum without lynching anyone is zero. Wow, that was shockingly lucid for me. Because, you know, I'm old. Now where are my pants?
  6. Pants? Oh, would you look at that. I'm not wearing any pants. I wonder where they went. I just think an argument about whether to lynch or not seems like a distraction. And I'm easily distracted. Oh, hey, I'm not wearing any pants... I wonder where they went.
  7. Anyone else feel a draft? I don't know, Shanalan. The whole not-lynching thing raises some warning flags for me. I don't know if we can simply trust that we'll know more tomorrow if we don't have some solid facts about today form a lynch. Somehow, I get a feeling we've all had this conversation before. A vague feeling of deja vu. But remembering things is a weird feeling for me anyway. Because I'm old. Anyone else feel a draft?
  8. Adding poll now.
  9. Let's not jump to conclusions here. With a company as large as TLG, even with a super vigilant QC department, there are bound to be problems that slip through from time to time. Saying that someone isn't doing their job is unfair. They can't check every single piece that comes through the factory and I'm sure even the checks they do can't check for everything like how a particular part may wear over time. The good thing for us, as AFOLs, is that Lego's customer service department is top rate. I've never heard of someone having a problem such as this one not being offered replacement parts from TLG. Try contacting Hasbro when your Jedi action figure's lightsaber comes out of the blister pack shaped like the letter "C".
  10. Moved. Let me know if you want a different title for it. Thanks for understanding.
  11. Rather than having Eurobricks as a billboard for Cuusoo projects we prefer people to post a MOC and then if they happen to also have it on Cuusoo to just put a link in that thread. If you'd like to do just that, I can move this into town and change the title to reflect that. I'd like you to edit it, though, to present it as a stand alone MOC rather than a Cuusoo project. Tell us a little about it. Interesting features, what you like most about it. Then people can comment on the build itself. If you want to add "I've put it on Cuusoo" and link to the project at the end, that's perfectly fine.
  12. That's rather weak bussing. So, Charles, you think Bess is suspicious for making a comment that's been taken as a defense of you? Or is there some other reason besides "voting for the other guy" that you're doing it?
  13. There's not a lot to go on as is usual for the first day but that does seem a little odd of a thing for Charles to mention. I may be old but more women being around never seems like a bad thing to me. It does seem a little clumsy for scum to voice a thought like that, though. I'd like to hear what Charles has to say about it so I'll up the pressure and Vote: Charles Pleasance (CallMePieOrDie). Anyone have any threes? Anyone?
  14. What you have to do: Make your current sig fig or avatar into a Super Hero! This does not mean changing you avatar to Batman. You need to make up your own hero. Feel free to create an elaborate backstory. Rules: Change your avatar to a picture of your newly created super hero and then post a small picture of it here as well for posterity. Good photographic skills are recommended. If a voter cannot see your entry clearly, they probably won't vote for it. Feel free to include a little bio for your new Super Hero. For example: Mild mannered Orc by day, at night Cronk becomes "The Basher", seeking out evil wherever it can be found! After the deadline for submission has passed, I'll put up a voting topic where all members will be able to vote for the best new avatar. Prizes: The top three entrants will receive a special Super Hero tag for their EB profile. (Note: a tag is not a physical object but just a fun little piece of forum flair.)
  15. As Darkdragon pointed out, it's far more likely someone trying to screw around with Bricklink statistics than someone actually thinking they will sell an item. That being said, I don't see how this discussion can continue much further than "some people are jerks". So I'm closing it down.
  16. While the fig in question is a superhero character, this is more of a minifig custom question so I'm going to move this to the MCW forum. I suggest you read through some of the topics there if you're going to try making some figs of your own. There are a lot of good resources there.
  17. Oh, what card game are you guys playing? I'm pretty good at Go Fish. I sometimes branch out into Old Maid but that's a little out of my comfort zone. What were we talking about? I sure have a lot of memory problems. Because I'm obviously old. Oh, look a card game! Is it Go Fish? I'm pretty good at Go Fish.
  18. Actually it belongs in scif-fi. I'll move it now.
  19. Cuthber Neal Memlow is here. Stare in awe at my awesome beard and nifty hat!
  20. I'd just like to remind everyone to keep to the topic of the sets, not the movie. Check out Culture and Multimedia for the discussion of that. Thanks everyone.
  21. Than maybe you should look around the site and see what else you're missing.
  22. At least there was enough of a time difference that Coke won't have to be exchanged.
  23. Anything Military belongs in Special Themes.
  24. If you're trying to be funny as the smiley implies, you're not being successful. Please stop.
  25. This belongs in the thread about the movie. Please only talk about the sets in the Licensed thread.
