  1. Thanks all for the comments and the curved slopes technique has been used before in the SW desert landscape except that they're available in green now. AC
  2. Feel free to do so and if you have the smaller curved slopes, they're perfect for garden landscapes. These are the new style horses showing up in the new sets since The Lone Ranger sets. AC
  3. Oddly enough while channel surfing came across the Doritos commercial with the kid who made a pig fly. Weird inspiration much like when the Minions were done. It's A Toy! Don't be so serious all the time and go have some fun with your MOCs/builds... How will your pigs fly? Come build one and use ‪#‎WhenPigsFly‬ when done! AC
  4. Used that effect before on the sand dunes and now that green slopes are available have used it in other MOCs. It didn't seem right to have them ride with the saddle and no minifig got hurt while doing this. AC
  5. One of the few scenes that came to mind when the ball and chain accessory showed up in the TRU Ninjago minifig pack. Ever noticed how there seems to be too many cops and robbers sets? TLG should be producing more sets expanding the City theme like hospitals, businesses, buildings, etc.. AC
  6. Good use of Syndrome's hairpiece. AC
  7. Thanks all for the comments! AC
  8. Thanks for the comments and would likely use this in a bigger build in the future complete with the opposing armies. AC
  9. The previous bardings were modified using flex tubing so that it can go around the front of the horse. The Samurai riders taken from the Ninjago minifigs for their color schemes signifying different clans. AC
  10. One of the most effective and enduring military formations in ancient warfare was that of the Phalanx. The age of the Phalanx may be traced back to Sumeria in the 25th century BCE, through Egypt, and finally appearing in Greek literature through Homer in the 8th century BCE. The phalanx formation was a close-rank, dense grouping of warriors armed with long spears and interlocking shields. Even a reenactment of the phalanx in minifigs shows dramatically why it was such an effective battle tactic used by ancient armies. Lobster armor, helmets and shields by BrickWarriors. AC
  11. No way to contain him! In a second he would love you apart. Call him Howard THE DUCK! No way to explain him! The fellow with the beak has stole my heart. Well ALL RIGHT! AC
  12. Tried for at least half hour to do it and finally gave up. Though this scene looks more dramatic as it happens at that exact moment. Thought about putting another minifig turned to stone but it changes the focus from the two minifigs, so the broken pillar fills the space without taking anything away. Tried to get her actual reflection from different angles but it was too faint and it was intentional based from the story foretold. Why am I not surprised that you'd notice that floor? :D AC
  13. From Greek mythology the story of Perseus beheading the Gorgon Medusa has captivated the imagination of people since ancient times. Here's a humble portrayal of the scene in bricks. AC
  14. Actually used the bridle design without the horns in previous MOCs and just had to use Shredder's helmet after I got it free from an event. AC
  15. The mounted Samurai is armed with bows and deadly naginata, making him powerful in both close and ranged fights. Excellent shot, he can fire while mounted and ride quickly to critical points of the battle line. AC
  16. Thanks all and quite agree that they complement each other well. AC
  17. There's more of them in the other post. Thanks for your comments as I'm planning to do a scene with various horsemen so these would help in identifying each faction. AC
  18. Thanks all for your comments and now they ride! AC
  19. These knights wouldn't be complete going to battle just with their custom shields and thus their horses get the custom barding. Same build for all four except for the different color schemes to match their riders using minimal parts to keep the scale realistic. AC
  20. No, only found brown legs which replaced the gladiator legs used in these. AC
  21. Building an army using the Spartan torsos acquired from the Build-A-Minifig and BrickWarriors accessories AC
  22. Current banner in the background Older banner
  23. Not moving but the new minifigs are bagged individually until the casting call for MOCs and bigger bags to separate them by themes. Makes it a lot easier to locate them too with the exception of army builders that go on separate plastic containers together. AC
