Lots of fig parts & accessories for my armies - among them 71 pairs of dark red arms, one hundred black hands, and 30+ Shadow Knight torsos.

I'd like to have elves, but I have conditions. Many of these have been mentioned before. They should have tree dwellings or at least buildings with lots of greenery attached; they should be as "human" as possible (no new head mold, just a yellow head with an elven face); unlike orcish helmets, their hair / headgear should be compatible with the breastplate armour piece; they should have lots of the classic bow with arrow but not the round shield or any other gear with that ugly bow&arrow pattern that could be seen on that particular Castle map thingy; and I want a torso design that could be used for a human faction, too (e.g. no funny coloured skin visible like on one of the orc torsos). I'm hoping for a colour scheme of dark green / sand green / tan / dark tan / dark brown with silver accents. And - even though I love the books as well as the movies - no LOTR / The Hobbit license please!

This is really good! My favourite parts are the arows in the ground and the dragon that's frying people.

Well, my 5-year-old seems to like this set a lot! My major problem with this "bike" is that it's immensely out of proportion with the minifig. A bike where you can hardly reach the steering handles while standing & reaching up?!? The figs, on the other hand, I find excellent as well. The monster is kinda cute, and I love the miner's head, because I can fit it in my Castle army.

My smallish collection: Castle (including armies & civilians): 284 Modern-day: 16 Star Wars: 10 Almost none of these are stock figures, though - I like to play around with fig parts & accessories.

Shinohara, a very impressive army there! LOTS of horse barding and wide-brim helmets! BTW, I updated my Brickshelf folder with close-ups of my soldiers. Click here!

I bought 12 copies of the Pirates Survival set yesterday - mainly for the heads and headgear.

Thanks, SWMAN. This lot not only had to be collected, but I also needed patience to gather all the fig parts that I wanted to change (especially the new white and black plumes for the knights - only 26 pieces, still taking about 1.5 years to collect from at least a dozen different BL stores). The Crown army going dark-bluer than stock was not my original idea. I was inspired by Troy T. Moore's army, who went even further and changed all the arms too. And yes, I'd like to add that I also find inspiration in many of the others' armies posted here, as well. I especially envy TSL's Forestmen, and his good use of the KKI/Blacksmith torso.

You can see here my Crown, Shadow and Skull knights lined up. These will all end up in a largish battle scene we're preparing for April.

Over the course of the last week, I bought the following: 10193 Medieval Market Village (excellent) 7682 Shanghai Chase (I love the truck, but the convertible is somehow out of proportion) 3x 8014 Clone Walker Battle Pack (for partial resale)

Well, I also liked the preliminary version of the tan car better. Even though it was less true to the movie original, the front fender and the sides of the engine compartment with the taps looked much better to my eyes. But so what, I'll modify this anyway... I miss the original guns, too, but at least the figs are all much improved. My only major problem with this are the modern five-spoke wheels. I think these vehicles would deserve a more retro-looking design.

About 2 years ago, I found 8 badly beat-up boxes of 8777 Vladek Encounter for about $1,50 each. One of them was missing one bag of parts, the others were complete. thus did my Shadow Cavalry begin... and, of course, selling most of the unwanted parts brought me back the whole investment.

Not today, but this week: 2x 7037 Tower Raid.

This is the collective effort of several MALUG members that's exhibited this month at a shopping centre in Budapest. Some parts of the diorama have been years in the making, but this is the largest and most diverse version to date. Unfortunately, I'm not personally involved, but I'm very proud of them all the same. :-)

Army building for me, too. 3 Fright swordsmen, body parts for about 5 MOC figs, plus 20 dark blue hips & legs and about 100 different pieces of weaponry for my Crown Kinghts faction.

I have 38 Vikings from these sets: 4x 7015, 1x 7016, 2x 7017, 1x 7018, 1x 7019, 2x 7020 (minus 2 figs), 1x 7021, and a custom chieftain.

I have none of the sets as a whole, but only the Crown troops from: 6 x 7009 1 x 7029 6 x 7090 6 x 7091 1 x 7092 1 x 7093 1 x 7094 I'm planning about 50 minifigs for my Crown army, with about 10 cavalry, 15 archers and 25 footsoldiers.

...and then I saw the pics for set 5378 and realized that I've just made a fool of myself... :-D :-D :-D

I've just begun reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and I couldn't help noticing the recurring theme of skeleton horses with wings that only a select few can see. (up to about the 200th page in the book, anyway) As far as I know, the movie based on the book is in production at the moment. We all know that skeleton horses will finally make their debut in 2007 Castle sets, although pictures of prototypes have been around for some 3+ years. My speculation: does this mean that there might be a HP set, related to the new movie, with skeleton horses in it? Could this possibly help make the business case for producing the skeleton horses (i.e. the opportunity to use them in a popular franchised theme as well as Castle)?

This is a very imaginative and highly detailed MOC of the best kind. Congrats! And I especially envy your interiors! ;-) I was surprised to see the Fabuland table (I think that's the one Berry Syedow asks about) and the Harry Potter mirror. I would have never thought they'd be useful in a castle MOC.
