Red Menace Mafia: Conclusion - Das Boot
Piratedave84 replied to jimmynick's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I asked on the board, no one replied so unpicked the one that would most benefit us; invincibility. Not that I was at risk but more song could keep it from town using it. Here's the post: " Dave said… (03 Sep 14, looking at version 1) Got this from the Capt’n “As the runner-up of today’s puzzle, you may choose one (1) of the following abilities to be used during Night One: 1x strongarm modifier to your night action (if any) 1x night-kill immunity The third-place finisher will receive whichever ability you do not choose. " NOt sure which to pick …" -

I got runner up on day 1 and could choose a strong arm or invincibility. Also, 1000 post! Yay! -

Had it not been for speedy being cleared so fast we would for sure had lost. Your post proves how crazy it was to have one shot investigation as of day one. After night 1 there was a solid town block and had it not been for speedy being the godfather, you were on the winning track. Speedy and I were worried, a lot, throughout the game but as time went by he just started to get crazy .... You should see the whiteboard; it's not pretty! There's a valuable lesson here; don't put all your eggs in the same basket. By day 2 we knew all the PRs. -

If we were 2 (speedy, adventurer or me) left versus one town we did not need you, if you were dead we did not need you. There were more scenarios in which we could win without the defector than with so it was wiser to no actively look for you. Your death actually helped us a great deal in cementing Speedy as a loyal townie and as a core member of the town block. What a game! -

I KNEW IT! I even wrote on the board that day 2 was a reference to Hunt for red october and that day 3 was a portion of Tchaikovsky's symphony ... but I never came close to the actual answer!!! Our condition was setup so that we did not need you to win and we decided very early not to look for our missing friend. -

we did have some fun; a lot of it!!!! You guys were way too trusting way too early; with all the freebies being handed out like candy, you should have crushed us in 3 days -
Any fix/news for this? I'm trying to upload the following "https://farm6.static...93d2b7737_o.png" to my 'about me' page but I get the same message as Sandy. So far as I can tell, the link is good, the file name is good and the picture actually shows up in the preview window but when I click 'save' it gives me the message; I must have tried 15 times over the last 3 weeks to add this pic to my page.

I got nothing on Claire besides the fact that I am the doctor. -

I know for a fact that Claire is lying. Claire is almost certainly the godfather; I know where my vote is going. -

Urghhh this is not good. I think it's time we pool our resources and get to the bottom of this; here's what I know: 1) I am town and I have a NA 2) I trust that Monty is town as is Spencer 3) Claire has barely been present here yet has managed to avoid a lynch up to this point 4) IMO either Claire or Jeremy is scum 5) I'm going to vote for Claire today -

We have a lynch for today so I'll vote for the person I feel is the scummier: vote Edward (endgame) For having been overly defensive when called out and for general lack of contribution to the discussions on day one and 2. -

Looks like I'm late to the party ... And the bandwagon for that matter. I don't have much time ( as you can probably tell) and I'm not quite understanding the Boris lynch; why are we lynching him? Why him over Edward? As far as I'm concerned Edward has contributed/posted far less than Boris. Am I missing something? -
Lego is now the World's biggest toy maker.
Piratedave84 replied to jacob_uno's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I was browsing the news this afternoon and stumbled upon this: http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/lego-movie-pushes-company-earnings-up-11-1.2756728 The article states "The company racked up more than $2 billion U.S. in sales during the first six months of 2014. That was slightly better than the past two quarterly sales numbers at Mattel combined, which means Lego is currently the world's biggest toy seller." Rejoice people, our beloved hobby is back where it belongs; #1 spot! -

Votes can be analyzed later as well, in fact taking a step back and looking at votes after a couple of days usually provides much more information. Had Adrienne not been revealed as scum (let's face it the odds of the vig getting lucky on day 1 are pretty slim), what would the vote have told you? -
Red Menace Mafia: Day Two - Crimson Tide
Piratedave84 replied to jimmynick's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Unlikely but not impossible; the day was drawing to a close, there was about 20-25 minutes between those votes, a no-lynch is only bad for scum amd as such it needed to happen, bothof them are saying "hey Monty is more suspicious but if you twist my rubber arm, I'll vote for Jerry" ... same last minute vote, same identical justification ... seems suspicious -

Piratedave84 replied to jimmynick's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Looking at that vote 'analysis' there's only one thing that strikes me a suspicious (besides Adrienne's last minute vote) and it's Jeremy's vote: You sealed his faith when you had a choice so why did you choose to change your vote? What's wrong with a no-lynch on day 1? Why not stick to your convictions and keep your vote on Monty? What info did Jerry's lynch provide you/us? -

Ah! Scum on night one; what a great start. I don't recall Patrick crossing anyone or making any type of comment which would draw a kill. Like Monty said; maybe he was more a convenience kill than anything else. -
