Yeah, its a shame how many amazing mocs on this forum are just ignored because people don't feel the need to compliment them or their builders, this one in particular! I love the atmosphere you achieve, and how well you conveyed everything you wanted to show. Very post-apoc, keep up the good work, and definitely keep bricking!

I just popped in and read your entire comic, lord I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life! what a truly excellent piece of work, it was majorly enjoyable and the story is remarkably clever. Keep up the good work

Wow, I just took a gander through the entire post here, and I'm very impressed! I can't wait to see more of this, and I love every detail so far! Also, I wouldn't worry to much about big grey wall syndrome, I think the deep grey suits it nicely All in all, I love this MOC and can't wait to see more, keep up the good work

A Steam Punk Paddle-Wheeler, Military Style
Fires-storm replied to Fires-storm's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Thanks so much, glad you liked it, and yeah, I'm probably going to end up doing just that when I get the pieces True, paddle wheelers are already steam punk, but this one is MILITARY steam punk! thats why I added all the armored plating and guns, and most paddle wheelers certainly aren't military Glad you enjoyed it! -
Wow, a truly amazing moc, it looks exactly right! while sadly I can't say Tintin is part of my childhood memories I can say you truly did it exactly right! excellent job and keep bricking

This is just an idea for a paddle wheeler that popped into my head, I built it only using pieces I had laying around, and I simply love how it turned out. I'm probably going to buy more dark grey pieces at some point to refine it, but until then this beauty is pretty much done^^ My only very slight dislike is the armored upper decks, which I'm going to buy the pieces to refine probably in June, otherwise this is my best (and first) steamer yet! A birds eye view of the ship The main gun the stern one of the paddle wheels, I tried to make it look more industrial and jury rigged then original. a picture of the steering cabin, the top deck is removable a picture of the bottom deck, the main deck is also removable for playability. Please note, this isn't complete yet, a number of details have yet to be added^^" a pic of either the boiler room or captains cabin, haven't decided which yet so its also not complete^^ and finally an image of the crew of the ship! I tried to make this ship look very industrial and slightly recycled, because the back story of this model is it used to be one of the imperial noble's pleasure cruisers but when it got old he threw it away and as such the rebels reclaimed and remodeled it into a steam cruiser. My rebels motto is "If its not broken, don't throw it away, or at least give it to us." I hope you enjoy the pics!

It is a very cool custom fig, I like it, but you may wanna go to pic resizer and trim down the pcitures, because even with my quick internet connection they took forever^^"

An amazing job on this beautiful bird, mate! We have quite a number of these little guys raid our birdfeeders every summer, and enjoy seeing them come around. You got it pretty much exactly right, excellent work, and keep bricking!

thanks for the critique, and the reason I use the SNOT attachment on the side is that though you cant see it in the new pics, the slope of the front comes down to far so it would blend like crud if I tried the normal technique^^" and as for prefab engines, I was considering it, but I'll need to take inventory of my pieces first, not to mention how to replace the two rocket pods on the front of em, so possibly more mocing/updates soon. Man maybe I shoulda named this a WIP

in order: 1:yup, one seat, no more room after all those weapons 2:Laser, most people don't realize, but I think since plasma is heat-based its only really usable on land......I think since most plasma I know is heated wouldn't it rapid freeze in space? annnnnd 3: Yeah, I HATE florescent lighting because its a dickens to get a natural color with a camera phone, but the true color scheme is red/dark red/black, with some dark gray here and there Thanks for the compliment, and glad you liked it
