  1. Mostlytechnic here.... personally felt like I didn't do much this game. Had the 1 shot PGO that I used the last night after claiming (in case someone tested the claim) but otherwise didn't have the time I usually do, plus hard to keep track of everyone's block figs! I remember the character images more than names (particularly at first) so needed some time to get names/faces together. I think I was the root source of all the cursing though - that puzzle from the hosts, I won. My prize - had to do 1 of 3 things each day. Either I could curse someone (and had to decide what the curse would be), could give 3 others the ability to curse someone, or pick a flavor for the day. Not too familiar with flavor and curses in mafia, so I was pretty bummed with the prize. I was assuming I'd get something good, not something just annoying to everyone :) Fun game, glad to win, and thought the minimal thing was very well done. Thanks!
  2. Tis ok, we'll survive without the game for a day :)
  3. Oooh, I like that. Just cram the rolls in and let them rise. Pop! goes the scummo.
  4. Raw? Really? You couldn't take 15 minutes to bake the things? And where's the icing?
  5. Ya, don't think this will take long... Vote: Carl Andre
  6. mmmm, cinnamon rolls. Now I'm hungry.
  7. Thanks for the support Ell - you're calling it correct there. Maybe a vote against him on day 1, sure, but then again on 3? When my vote nearly tied him up and there were still votes to be placed and time for others to switch? Or I could have more easily just joined the Dan bandwagon if I was just trying to hide my scuminess by voting out a fellow scum? Right now carl is pinging me as hincky beyond words. I have no idea what you're thinking with all this "behidn the scenes" crap, but considering NO ONE has backed you up, I think you're our last scum there.
  8. Well, not like I was going to claim it day 1 so you all could lynch me to test my allegiance. And I too await explanation, since I too don't know why you think you're confirmed town.
  9. Just to clarify, since Anne's summary could be taken either way, but my vote for Robert day 1 wasn't a "you voted for me, so I'll vote for you" - it was because his justification for voting for me sucked. Would have voted for him if his vote/reason had been for someone else. As for proving I'm town... I freely admit I havne't been the most productive townie this game. Just my art getting in the way. However, I will throw out now that I do have a role. I'm a PGO. Not a full-force PGO (in case anyone's investigated/watched/blocked/tracked/anything else me), but only against a kill. So good thing the vig didn't target me, or he'd be dead too. Ditto for any scum kills.
  10. Woo! 2 down, probably just 1 to go. Look's like Carl's got more 'splainin to do... hopefully today we can get any night info and finish off the last of the scum. Also, care to explain why Carl's quick mention of Jo as uncleared is a poor choice? Oh, Jo's poor choice since she started the lynch on Dan. That's good point. (maybe I need some coffee and get out of the paint fumes before I start reading and commenting)
  11. Hey, note that I did NOT vote for you, just said I was likely to. And when was I all buddy-buddy with you anyway? There's so little to go on and I certainly don't trust you, I certainly don't consider you a buddy yet. However, I am getting a gut town feeling based on your reply to all the votes going your way, so I'm not going to vote for you today. Dang, that's harsh. However, I think you may be on to something here. So for today, I'm going to go ahead and Vote: Robert Mangold but if he comes up town, then Anne will be on my short list of scummos... it's possible you two are just townies butting heads, but I think one of you is more likely scum. So we'll see.
  12. Well, if I had to choose between your claim and the investigator claim as being fake, I'd put odds on yours. Doesn't mean either IS fake, and I think it's nearly impossible for both to be fake, but sure doesn't mean I 100% trust either. Ah, so that's why it came out all of a sudden. That does make sense - but again, to play devil's advocate, it could also be a ploy hoping for a town protector to cover you and get caught. So far you've just said "I'm important and probably gonna die tonight" but that doesn't exactly help us at all does it... Oh, I fully expect there to be weirdness in the roles. In fact I KNOW there's some weirdness. Good to know... sucks when people get caught due to talking too much (been there myself...) Yeah, if the investigator is talking beyond a couple people that's bad. Can anyone confirm that there's too much talking occurring?
  13. Well,if you are telling the truth then we can make some reasonable deductions from that. 1. You're not the investigator but are some other role (or how would you know you were blocked) 2. The scum must have for who knows what reason blocked you and copped you on night 1, found that you had a powerful role, and then decided to block again night 2. Ergo, they could NOT then know who the investigator was on night 1, and therefore could not have killed him/her night 2 based on knowing. It's slightly possible that they killed AND copped the same person night 2 (to see if they were taking out a role), but that seems a stretch. I'd think they'd want to cop a living target to help determine future kill priorities. All that is assuming they HAVE both blocking and cop ability. Or of course, there's the alternative explanation. You're a lying scum making up a story about being blocked. It'd be a fairly safe gambit, since the odds of 2 PRs being blocked both nights (assuming both town and scum have a blocker) and them coming forward now to reveal that they were a PR just to disprove you is pretty slim. Odds of some vanillas getting blocked and not knowing it seems reasonably high to make the risk. The one thing making me think you might be telling the truth is that your claim came out of nowhere. On the other hand, it'd be a pretty decent way for a scum to claim a PR and hope to get into the inner circle of the town. Or draw an investigator onto themselves while they have a watcher or something. Or to take out the investigator because they're a scum PGO, though that's not a common role. Hm. I'll have to think on your claim some more.
  14. I'm here now, trying to catch up. Been crazy day in the studio. Spilled paint all over, big mess, you know how it is. Anyway... Ellsworth, what's with the screaming? Seems weird... Very interesting news from the investigator. For now I'll trust it since there's good likelyhood it's true. The odds of the scum figuring out a real investigator and killing him this fast is pretty small. So... guess I'll look for others to vote for. Still not sure why ellsworth is trusted by the investigator though. Just because one person trusts him doesn't make Ell trustworthy. So investigator, I hope you're very careful with what you tell Ell until you can confirm for sure his allegiance. Course, if he is scum and he knows who you are, you're already dead I guess. At this point, I'm likely to join the Dan bandwagon on voting. I'll hold off a little while though in case I see anything better. So far though no one else is pinging me harder. Hey, anything ever come of that quiz from our hosts the other day?
  15. um, what more did you want me to say? I said it was for his strange voting yesterday, and multiple others have already beaten that horse every which way, so I saw no need (and was in a rush) to go into more detail. That said, I'm sticking with my vote. Tony just hasn't been screaming scum to me like he obviously has to others. Quiet, yes, but quiet doesn't mean scummy. Scum usualy are quiet, but not all quiet people are scum. Heck, there's a lot of quiet people here (and I'd put myself into that category so far) but there's only going to be a couple scum. Not saying I'm convinced that tony is town, he hasn't earned any trust yet, but I'm also not ready yet to lych him.
  16. I have to go make a large, 3 color painting today. Even though it looks like something you could do in 15 minutes with a roller, I'll use a small brush and hand-mixed paints and so it'll take hours. So for his weird voting yesterday, I'm going to Vote: John McCracken just in case i don't get done before the end of the day.
  17. I'll respond, since I was another who chose not to break the tie. As I stated when I placed my vote, with NO confidence that we were finding scum yesterday I thought it foolish to lynch someone. We only have a few town here, so it's important to not lynch wrongly. Sorry, that sounds scummy to me. Makes me think that perhaps the first two tied were both town, which the scum obviously would know, so you're torqued that no one hammered either of them. And the scum perhaps had already placed votes so didn't want to switch and be obvious. I think your logic here is flat wrong. 9 of 10 times the first day lynch is town. So lynching yesterday would have given the scum another free kill in addition to Sol.
  18. Ok, this really needs to die. That was my SECOND POST on day one, and I said as the first sentence of it that it was WILD SPECULATION. Our most excellent hosts even said in the rules "The pictures may or may not contain clues. They most likely do not, but look all you want. Wildly speculate. It's fun." So that's what I did, and for people like you who would read too much into it, I said right there that it was wild speculation. I assumed anyone would recognize that it was a joke in the spirit of mafia day one. If saying THIS IS WILD SPECULATION (even using the same words as the rules) in an early day 1 post isn't clear enough to you not to take it seriously, then I don't know what is. And yes, thank you Ell for that nice summary. Perhaps there's no town vig since it's a minimal game (possible, but I doubt it) or since there was no clear target, so much so that we had a 3 way tie on the voting, the vig decided not to kill on night 1. Certainly not unknown to happen that way.
  19. I'm ok with a no-lynch tie today. There's no basis for killing anyone off. So I'm going to Vote: Robert Mangold Why? 1. Cause there's no threat for him to get lynched but I have to vote, and 2. Because his reason for voting for me sucked. Not just because it was me, but because it was a poorly justified vote.
  20. I didn't say the ratio would be different, just that we don't have 18-20 townies to spare. I'd guess we've got maybe 10 town and 3 scum, or perhaps 11-2. Either way, that's only 10 or 11 townies. So I guess I shoulda said it's like day 4 of a normal game, assuming you've caught a scum or two along with losing a bunch of townies. Except that we're at that point in numbers without any history / votes / info to base anything on. So if this goes like games often go with killing off 6-8 townies before we catch anyone, we'll be in trouble.
  21. Thank you. And I think in this minimalist game we HAVE to be extra defensive - with so few people, it's like starting on day 4 of a normal game, where every single vote is critical. It's not that I'm scared of a single vote on me, it's that I don't want Robert to waste his vote on a townmember. We can't afford to make many mistakes in this hunt.
  22. Ok, this is all I'm gonna say on the topic since apparently to some people now a defense when voted for is a bad thing I was playing the game, according to this in the rules The pictures may or may not contain clues. They most likely do not, but look all you want. Wildly speculate. It's fun. So maybe it wasnt roleplaying per se, it was just having some fun. Normal day 1 stuff. Nothing more. Get over it and quit voting for townpeople without a good reason. And my fast reply (the first one and this one) is simply because I'm around at the moment. If you'd made the same comment another time of day, it might have been hours before I saw and responded. Again, get over it.
  23. Wow, a vote for me based on day 1 role playing? I made no claims to that being hard work and effort. Took like 30 seconds tops. Just a joke. Not voting yet - there's nothing to go on, so I'll wait to see how various other votes/defenses/comments go.
  24. So, do we wanna share the actual artwork we were given, or just what kind? Mine's a painting as well.
  25. Well, I think it's time for wild speculation. I'm going to say: Dan's Scum! Why? It's all in the picture... look at the crime scene photo. There's hints everywhere. On the left, there's stacks of green, yellow, and blue bricks. Who is the closest to that color scheme? Dan! In the back, that red wall looks kinda (if you squint enough) like an arrow to the right. Who's farthest right in the group? Dan! In the middle, there's a bunch of trans bricks. Who's the only one of us with trans parts in their body? Dan! Rampant speculation for the win!
