10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Roebuck replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It was only a decent sale in NA, the rest of the world just got crappy shelf-warmers that collect dust. Hope most people did not order anything from the sale so they learn that we will not buy anything with a Lego logo on for whatever they demand I saved a lot of money at least, so now looking even more forward to LEGO® Icons 10332 Medieval Town Square- 2,976 replies

Everything is possible and most of the sets next year is unknown, but so far it seems to me that this is a 1 big D2C per year kind of theme, maybe with some brick-heads, magnets, GWP etc, but no normal wave..

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Roebuck replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Lego is saying nothing so it could be the same offers everywhere, but only the NA has leaked. It say on the page biggest BF sale ever so we will see what that is about soon.. When we get reports from Australia it is easier to compare it with the leaked NA info- 2,976 replies

I wonder how many owls the set will have If it had been 20 years ago it would probably have over 10 Now I think 3 is a bare minimum they can include, but that would not be satisfactory at all in a set like this, lets hope the price means there is a decent amount
-
They can include Orthanc in the set, should only take 10 parts or similar then I do not remember, but was it ever filmed inside the tower? If not what would they include there? Is there not a big chance this is microfig scale with some minigifs on display like the big Hogwarts set?

It seems to me than Friends do not focus that much on animals anymore, but making some fantastic sets. City are more focused on making animal moulds lately, not that their set was very interesting to me before either, so at least now I get a lot more useful parts out of the theme and buy more of the sets. A reason could be that Friends have a higher age range than City, I guess a lot of kids move from City to other themes when they get older

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

And the black cat please -
I use all my hype for the MTS However I guess we should see winter wave pictures before we get summer set names right? Could be some animals in City there also even if the sets names are not so promising. HP is very promising, but have disappointed before when it comes to animals so we will see

The x-mas GWP is a horse-drawn carriage with 3 minifigs, something similar just for Castle would be a fantastic GWP for MTS -
Was a nice surprise was worried it might get brick-built, It depends on the GWP limit if I will go for it

We have a very good set from Bag End, maybe a bigger part of Hobbiton could be included if they make it one day

Roebuck replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yes it may be that they have a maximum of changes in a set, however it is definitely not so that they can swap the other two with new parts! It seems like new parts are sometime given e.g. you can have one new part for this set (make whatever you like) and sometimes true applying and necessity. Take Winnie the Pooh, Ideas set normally do not have new parts, however for the minifigs to look good it got 5 parts that probably increased the price of the set and reduced the number of parts it could include. Say it had 10 changes in the budget, half are already used and it got 2 new prints and say 3 new recolours -

It has been in stock several times lately, but sell out very quick. Now I belive that the parts are gone until they show up in a new set.. -

You might be right However prints are much cheaper than new parts so we will get several of them regardless of a new mould or not. I wonder if it is possible to turn down a new part in the budget and instead include a lot more prints tough, if so how many prints to you get for a new mould You might be right The way I see it it that the goat was number 1 mould on the list for this set Question then is why did they use the CMF budget to bring it back, was it because they could not afford a mould or was it because they where smart and made something else instead for their budget?! -
Do not follow Space, but have not heard about this Looks like we get 1-2 sets from Castle, Pirates and Space every year + GWP sounds perfect for me

Roebuck replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The castle only had one new part and that probably had a bigger budget so not so sure That is the problem with one off sets they have a smaller budget than say a wave of City sets, so even if not all City sets have new parts several of them will. If we get one my guess/hope is that it is a goat kid -
Makes more sense why it has that shape, hopefully there are some interesting parts in the calendar (not that I would get one)

The torso was also used in several Pirates set so you might have got it there Do you think Dragon's Keep: Journey's End will be in scale with MTS etc? -

The green lady is a nice minifig when you have a low budget left and only can print the torso, but looks rather plain compared the 3 ladys on the previous page 12-14 years old -

Probably because of budget restraints, Ideas set normally have a crappy budget They made a new horse and black falcon figs after all.. -
I think it looks like a fantastic set Apparently they listened to feedback that the HE got since it is to big for normal tracks so they changed it here and managed to include a second cart within the same price range because of it The motor is a con for sure, but some AFOLs will figure it out and I have no room for a train track now so it most likely we stand on display anyway..

Or maybe just better imagination, I just zoomed in on the picture yesterday and there the tax collector was in all its glory. I had a second look now and the white parts on him that stood out was a printed letter on top of the picture (still do think it is him, but not so sure anymore) Maybe i should book a appointment with the eye-doctor (time will show) The tapestry weaver I forgot since the page I looked at did not mention hen, could be the 11. female?. And there is some logs in the left of the picture with maybe a minifig chopping a axe or similar, if so it could be the carpenter -

How many minifigs will we get in the set and what would they likely be if we take the prelim and leaked info into account? From what I can see/guess: knight with axes (in the tower) knight with axes/city guard (above the cow) forestman (on the horse) jester (in front of the cheese-stand) tax collector (next to the guard) shieldsmith (to the left of the first building?) carpenter (?) crook (could be the forestman?) male farmer (in front of the left tree, could be the carpenter maybe) young girl (feeding the cow) female? (behind the cheep) If so it is a great line up, but should be someone running the inn, making/selling the cheese at least and maybe herding the animals. Could be 10/11 I guess but hope for a couple of more civilian females in the mix
