  1. I agree. Currently, I'm hoping for two things. One, that I can find and buy the Portal of Atlantis set. Two, it includes the Manta warrior shown next to it. I've got lots of things I want from other lines (mainly Star Wars), so I've decided to make the crazy decision to not buy any Atlantis sets at all until I get the Portal of Atlantis set. I may get a few Manta warrior impulses if I can find them. The old skeleton definitely was unexpected. In the past, they've used them for prelim images, but later changed them. This time, though, there's the tangible, actual old skeleton. This may mean we'll see them return, but that doesn't exactly explain why other skeletons in sets (Prince of Persia, Star Wars...) have changed from the old ones to the current skeletons.
  2. Yes! My instincts were right! The new creature included in all the new sets is not a recolour of Squidman. I originally thought that (the "eyes" (actually, arms) threw me off!) it was, but then I realised there seemed to be a spike or something on the top of the head. I didn't exactly see the Skull twin recolour coming. Ever since someone pointed it out, I'd thought of the spaces in the helmet as eyes. As for the strange purple-suited character, I definitely didn't expect that. I had imagined that the white face were teeth, and that the head was elongated. He looks sort of vampiric to me, given what appears to be fangs, and plus the skull on the limo. notice recoloured, reused skull stickers on fins. Interesting. Well, looks like everyone wins. New creatures, and a recolour of a Skull twin, which some people wanted.
  3. Well, that's almost certain, but why? On a different topic, I wonder if there are going to be any other sets after the Portal of Atlantis set. Personally, I think it would be an ideal way to finish the line, but that wouldn't be a good thing. There are still possibilities for new creatures. Oh, and maybe in the base, we'll see the minifigs out of their diving suits, like in the Atlantis movie.
  4. The Wampa looks good, but it's too bad the skeleton reverted back to the droid-armed version.
  5. Actually, where did you find it? Edit: never mind. Question answered. =)
  6. Looks like a prototype image of the Magma Mech to me. It seems like some parts are discoloured. That's my guess, anyway.
  7. I always thought it was part of the body itself. I'll have to get the minifig first. Another theory why it might be a mutation is that they're obviously humanoid, something we haven't seen in the last few underwater themes, e.g. Aqua Raiders. It could just be Lego deciding to have more of a variety, or maybe it could be both. That gives me another idea. After they find Atlantis, maybe they'll try to find out where the creatures came from, and why they protect the rings, though I'm pretty sure we won't see that idea in sets.
  8. I'd like anything with Clones or Stormtroopers that is more affordable than the Tie Defender, and more battlepacks. I'd also like to see any sort of set featuring Mandalorians, although that's doubtful.
  9. Nice design. I like the bent nose, it makes it look more unique.
  10. There are $20, actually. That's in Australian dollars, here in Australia. =P I hope they will at least renew it for a few more years. I only seriously started collecting a few years back, and I still want more Clone Troopers/Stormtroopers before the line ends.
  11. Interesting design, although the colour scheme could do with a little work.
  12. Very impressive. I like the Astromech head build.
  13. Interesting. This would be good if it was released as a small set.
  14. I don't have many large Star Wars sets now, but I'm hoping to get at least two in the next wave. Out of them, my favourite is probably the Imperial Landing Craft, followed by the AT-ST.
  15. Or at least improve my wallet. =P I've become a bit sick of the usual six "good" sets and six "bad" sets in Bionicle. After a while, they do start becoming a bit hard to manage. In this case, we have ten sets altogether so far, and it's sort of good if you want to save money. I don't know if they will decrease in number, but at least they could release sets at a slower rate. Maybe six sets total per wave?
  16. Interesting tank, fits very well with the army men.
  17. Interesting use of the bases. I imagined them useful for grass and land, but I never imagined them used for slime.
  18. I agree. Still, it's a shame that the weapons aren't attached to the hands, but rather held. Takes out a bit of the usefulness. Speaking of usefulness, the left knife gauntlet reminds me a lot of the retractable vibroblade used by Clone Commandos. I hope that particular piece is in one of the cheaper sets.
  19. Toy Story for the Army Men and Little Green Men, Prince of Persia for the weapons and small sets.
  20. Oh, that's right! I remember now. Yes, I remember seeing them in the V-Wing set, too. I keep on seeing them as just "Clone Pilots" everywhere, so I got a bit confused. Totally cleared up now. =) About the new torso, I'm not very sure. I haven't got an Ahsoka minifigure yet, so I can't see any differences so far.
  21. Okay, now that I've finally seen some images and found out about the story of the Atlantis movie, I've noticed a few obvious things. Some particular things, such as the Gateway of the Squid and Neptune Carrier sets, are upscaled in the movie. I'm not sure if this was in the movie, but in the review, they also mixed up the colours of the squid ring and the manta ray ring. I also thought of something interesting. In the movie, we see Atlantis as being a golden, ancient Greek-like city, as it's normally portrayed. The new minifigure also has golden armour. Maybe the armour's linked to the city? It also explains the spartan-like style of the helmet. Another thought briefly flashed through my mind. Maybe the inhabitants were mutated into sea creatures, or something? That further explains the armour. Also, it would definitely explain the motives of the creatures if this was true.
  22. That's quite interesting. I've come across the show once or twice by channel-surfing. I like the larger blue skutter thing.
  23. Interesting attention to detail, such as the path and the waves. Nice work.
  24. I agree =P. The sign's quite nice. I've never seen a light-blue briefcase before, though. Interesting.
  25. Interesting minifigs, but did they use pistols back then? =P
