  1. Hi. I have the 8043 excavaor, bought from Lego Shop MK a few weeks ago, builded it slow so I don't miss any, it work great only that the main boom lifting a bit slow but fast on lowering boom, it work better with the rubber bands, the rest is ok. At the moment it's on a display shelf, I don't play with it, I like to look at it. Should I sent it back? Should I wait for a service kit? Dan.
  2. Ah, many thanks DaveE. I may have enough to rebuild this set, I hope. Daniel.
  3. Hi. I've been busy sorting out lego parts and see what sets I've got and I've got this part which I'm not sure what set it came from, I've been told by my brother it might be a moon command set he used to play but had a look and the picture on the panel is not the same. Can anyone help with this please? So far I've got 64 lego sets and still a few more to go ( A4 box full of parts left....) and quite a few is blue which I think might be classic space. Thanks. Daniel.
  4. Great review. I've just bought it from MK shop, the price tag was £10.00 more than Shop At Home , after I've shown them a copy of Shop At Home website with correct price, I've got it for the same price. I'm not sure if it a wrong price but all the other technic are the same price as Shop At Home apart 8043. It sitting on a table and about to get open and built..... Dan
  5. If I display my sets, I put them on lego brick pier fix to under chassic to keep tyres off the surface about 1cm and prevent axle bending.
  6. Video of an Excavator powering by 6 motors and fully RC.Found this while searching. Not the same but look similar.
  7. "Really Useful Boxes" is what I use for storage lego bits. On some of box, they have tray where I keep small bit and bob like pins, gears and the like. And they are easy to stack and strong. They come in different size. Dan.
  8. My other interests is Meccano. Also my other interests is Startrek, I collect playmates ships and micromachine startrek ships. I also go to scifi fair and convention to get signed startrek photos in person. Dan.
  9. I keep 8275 and 8421 on ikea tall billy bookcase, with glass door to keep the dust out with foam tape on frame, making it near sealed. I now need to make space for my new crane truck 8258. The rest are disassembled and stored in boxes. Daniel
  10. On 8043 box, I can see arrow mark for bucket, first arm, second arm and turntable, which mean it to be motorised, I cannot see any arrow for track drive. If this is the case, there are four motor ( 2 x XL and 2 x M ? ).........it will give me something to moc. I will wait for a better pictures.... Daniel
  11. Excellent thread. I google my number 8878. I got this......good as I'm in technic. Tried backward 8788.....none. Daniel

  13. Hello members of Eurobrick. I found this Forums after researching review about Crane Truck and found it intresting and surprised to see huge models on site so I signed on. I'm Daniel and I'm from Aylesbury, Bucks. Not far from Milton Keynee where there is a Lego store. The last I touch lego ( city, astrospace, 1980 models ) was from 1991 and it all went in storage. I came across lego again when I had to clear stuff a few months ago. Taken me 2 days to sort it out and wash/clean up. I'm into Technic as I'm so intresting about Technic. The last moc 1990 I've done was a small technic waltzer, trying to rebuild it, trying to remember how I build it. I will list what sets I've got soon and you can comment. Thanks Daniel.
  14. Hi. I'm new to this forums. I have the Bulldozer and Moblie Crane, do these count as flagship model? Which model is the Lego flagship? I love to have that 8043 Excavator. Can't wait..... Thanks. Daniel.
