General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Captain Becker replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
Its only wishful thinking Derfel. And still we know at we arent gonna get USC BP in POTC wave, as not the Inteceptor wich really upsets me I dont buy these ships because i actually dont like the new hull pieces at all, and also they are so expensive even at there is some nice parts in QAR. I only try to focus on the other sets abd get them at least 2 of each, but dang how much i was hoping that Inteceptor . Captain Becker -

That made me laugh and hard The Vasas first voyage was indeed a total fiasko, i cant even imagine everybodys faces when they saw Vasa going down right when it was putted into the water. But on to the topic, looking good so far, i like the size and the stern. One thing i would change is that you could change the yellow parts into golden ones. Otherly this is very promising looking ship. Good luck. Oh, and are you planning to make an interior of this ship? Captain Becker

Nice little ship you have made it there. I like the shape and the colour scheme, and it actually looks like SlyOwl´s ship wich he has made (Wich name i cant remember). Good work whit this. Captain Becker

You did actually take my small bagpipe joke seriosly? Well, i can say at making a bagpipe whit Legos is very hard, but the start is looking good. Keep it up. Captain Becker

Even at im a huge Pirates theme fan and wouldnt buy anything else than Pirates and Castle sets, i have to admit at when im here in Kemi (My birthtown) I couldnt resist and did go and buy the new 2011 Imperial V-wing starfighter. Pirate fans, please dont keelhaul me because of this, im too young to die yet! At the moment im not sure should i be glad or should i punish myself somehow. "Did go and buy his very first Star Wars set" Captain Becker

Much better now, the hat wont look bushy at all Like the kilt and the overall look. Great work whit this. Now all he needs is that bagpipe Captain Becker

Im not in home at the moment, im in my birthtown seeing my grandmother, im writing this on hotels computer so i cant see the picture very well at all. its too dark to see any details, but what i remember, the hull is sloped first when it goes ahead to the stern, and the suddenly it chainges straight up. I cant explain it excatly, but i hope you get the idea. I get back to this when i get back home in Tuesday. Captain Becker

Well, my name Captain Becker comes from . 1. Captain= Because i have always wanted to be a captain of an old sailing ship. 2. Becker= Well, i wanted the name to start whit letter "B" for some reason, my player name in Combat Arms is Buckson but i didnt want to use that. And suddenly Becker popped into my mind, and i though at thats perfect name for me. So no story behind my name actually. Captain Becker

Looks good, id use this cannon desing instead of orginal Lego cannons. This cannon was orginally desinged by Matteo and further desing (This in the link) was made by Blackmoor. Good luck whit her. Captain Becker

Looks very good so far. I like the shape and the stern is just outstanding, specially those details. But the bow seems a bit weird IMO. But i like the ship overall. I wish you best of luck whit this. Captain Becker

Fundamentals for a good Lego collection?
Captain Becker replied to dwarf-brik's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I also have very limited collection what i really can use for making MOC, most of my parts are in yellow, red, white, blue and black, and they are all plates, normal 2x4 2x2 brick etc etc. But i still have some useful pieces and i have make about a couple of MOC`s. This prooves at you wont need a large ammount of pieces to make a small MOC. And what i can say about your collection, you can easily make a couple of good MOC`s. You just need to use your imagination and be creative. Captain Becker -
Well, as i said, i made this in very late and i finished it at 2:25 AM, so you can tell at i was pretty tired. Anyways, i try to fix those things best as possible. Thanks for checking. (Although at you made quite an list of my errors ) Captain Becker EDIT: How in the world did you even noticed those 1x1 tile colour errors? I didnt even noticed them when i did the set. EDIT2: Fixed the LFX file, is it now better Aanchir? There might be still some colour errors in the grey parts. But i did what i could. Just let me know what parts needs to be re.coloured yet and i do it again.

It depens alot of do you like Pirates more than Imperials, and do you like the Old or New Pirates line better. IMO, SES has nice ship parts wich can be useful for ship building, and you get the very rare guy called "Steve" on it too. But the new IFS has also very nice parts, suchs as the admirals daughers dress and the dark blue parts. It has also better colour scheme, but the bow is somewhat difficult to build. Anyways, i wish you luck, i cant and i dont make the choise for you, so choose yourself. But if you have a change, get them both. Captain Becker
