  1. I did too! I ordered two @ $280AUD for $45 shipping. I worked out it's on par or slightly more ($10-$20) more than S@H USA, due to exchange, fees, and mail fwd'ing fees and shipping. Yep Im definitely going to bring a larger suitcase when going to USA next time, will even fly on a bigger plan (pay slightly more for better comfort), this ensures that I get 2 x 32kg bags (Using Qantas). :D
  2. Yea sounds good. I definitely want a few of the Emporiums. Let me know when time comes, I'm sure i'll be in this thread raving on about em. In the meantime depending on the Aussie $ i might order the Fire Brigade in the next month or so (thinking that it might be SOLD OUT soon) OMG Motorized Bulldozer 8275 is on sale at the Lego Shop for $187.49. RRP $249.99 SOLD OUT! Dammit!
  3. Thanks for the comments guys. Will see if seller can sell the Cafe Corner by itself. No idea about the sticker. o.0 In other news I was wondering if anyone (pref in Sydney or surrounding areas ie. Newcastle, Woolongong) wants to import the Fire Brigade - 10197 with me? We can split shipping costs/fees. Ive worked out roughly it will cost $250 delivered to my house for one of these sets. I'll be using either S@H or Toys R Us and sending to my shipito address sending the whole lot via FedEx. If anyone here USA knows where I can get it cheaper let me know. If previous corners go by the prices of these wont stay long, hence wanting to order them now.
  4. I think I know the place you are taking about. ;) Ive ordered one Lego set from them myself. :) Wheneve I visit Adelaide, I'll definitely go check out that place. So I should go ahead and buy those two sets for $725? Good investment? :D
  5. Guys what do you think? Is this worth it -> Keeping in mind I wont be building these in a hurry, just buying them now so they wont increase in price when I want them later. Thoughts? LEGO Taj Mahal 10189 $450 LEGO Cafe Corner 10182 $275 Sent to me with free shipping. The 10182 has slightly damaged box:
  6. Just replying to this. I got both my S@H USA and S@H Australia packages today. Compared to Amazon, amazon's packing process is alot "minter" if you get me. The boxes sent from S@H both look like they had came from the storage sitting there for ages. It's like S@H does not care about the boxes being "mint" >.< I ordered 3 green grocers (from S@H USA) and that was a mistake. What S@H does is put 2 into one package (27"x22"x10") then another 1 into the same one (27"x22"x10") filling it with lot's of air bubble packs. I ordered 2 imperial flagships (from S@H Aust) they neatly packed the two large boxes into one larger package, unsure if dimensions, but it looked pretty snug. In summary if you order large sets from S@H order in even numbers. So 2, 4, 6, 8 sets etc.... Just built Zurg! Not as good as Buzz though.
  7. Would be heavy though, but as display it should be ok. I just want something like what they have at Myers. Hmmmmmmm *investigates
  8. I think I'm going to build the Imperial ship then get some perspex from bunnings and box it up. Any ideas/comments on that? This thread seems to be where all the aussies hang out! lol
  9. Is it possible to buy all the little pieces yourself then build the lego?
  10. Are you in Sydney? If not I might be able to get you one if you want.
  11. Kmart at Chatswood Chase has 3 Crane Trucks for sale for $160 each. Get them before they are gone!
  12. I bought this about 3 months ago off a retailer in Australia! Cost me like $350. I havent built it yet (no time :( ) Im pretty stocked I got one from a retail shop! But will do it one day when I have time.
  13. Just linking this thread here for future reference (Incase it gets bumped down): http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=37559 Good job!
  14. haha Awesome guys! I wouldnt mind another Death Star! lol I guess Kmart are finally finding their stock of Lego out of the way. I bet most of them were laybys and people couldnt pay. Mine was liek that I think. It was near the Layby section
  15. You'll find that Shop @ Home Australia processes the money in DNK at the bank level. And it is shipped from Europe/Denmark/Germany so I think that's why we get such a high price, due to the exchange rates. Cheaper to import from USA, but watch out for the postage charges.
  16. Im not sure yet I havent received my S@H packages yet. They should arrive next week on Wednesday. So far the amazon packages for the toy story sets were packed well, tightly and had some airbubble wrapping. I think if you were to order Grand Empourium from S@H best to order 2 or 4. I'll report next week on the packagings of each companies when I get them. Yea as long as on the custom slips for shipito you lower the value it's fine. I just normally put $100USD for each package. Well apparently when they consolidate they always do it into a USPS box 26"x13"x13" (This is standard and free). anything else must be sent via FedEx and you must request that it be sent via FedEx limits (pay the extra $8.50) for it. Yea you need to have a virtual box in order to consolidate. If they cannot consolidate anythign they will let you know. In the end, I ended up having to pay $273.44 for two packages to be sent to me via FedEx MPS. They contained 3 x Green Grocers and 2 x Build-a-Zurgs. Prolly would have cost approx $250 if it was sent as one box anyways. Overall still works out to be cheaper than buying it from S@H Australia. Oh yea when you have a virtualbox you get 45days free storage space so you can have as many packages as needed for up to 45days. (and consolidate all the packages on the 44th day) I have a few other packages to be sent 4 more but awaiting for 1. Then I'll get them to try and consolidate them all into one big one and send it via FedEx
  17. Went to Myers SYD CBD and all the shelves with lego were empty!! I guess getting ready for new stock Also DJ's at CBD had like 5 technic sets the rest was empty!
  18. Any technic sets yet? I want the 8041 and waiting for a retail shop like Kmart to have it. Got a few vouchers to use. :)
  19. Cant wait for the sales to come in! Easter sale??
  20. Yea I figured that. Dammit it will cost me $185 x 2 in postage for those two sets. >.< I'll see what shipito says when I get them to consolidate it.
  21. Yea I defiantely do want the Green Grocer boxes. >.< Dammit! LEGO!
  22. Lego are definately very bad at shipping in US! I made an order: Green Grocer x 3 Construct-a-Zurg x 2 It arrived at shipito as: 16.80 lbs 27"x22"x10" + 12.10 lbs 27"x22"x10" Two big boxes!! Now i'll need to try and get shipito to consolidate the two packages (dont even think they can since the green grocer is larger than 26x13x13). as one and have it fedex to me here in Australia. So annoying! :hmpf_bad: Pickup your game Lego!
  23. Aquila D'oro Please be aware that Shop@Home Australia charges your CC in "DNK" - ie It says $500AUD but when it comes to your credit card company they see it as "DNK" and processes it as a "Single Currency Transaction: A transaction made in Australian dollars with an internationally-designated merchant." Check your card for this Currency Transaction, some cards have it some dont. Mine was 2% on top. So if the total including shipping was $500AUD it became $510AUD. (2%) Fee.
  24. Buzz on my Street Bike!!
