  1. Funny thing about this set is I cannot even add a review to it on bricksets as it says set is "Not yet released" Let me go find the minifigs and maybe build the tow car as it looks funky. EDIT: HAHAHA I had more fun building the small car and the minifigs than the plane itself! Here are some cool pics: What I built: The minifigs in this set: This was cool the baggage car, it even has 3 baggages! hehehehe
  2. I decided to build the plane as that was my main reason to buy this set. Also because I dont have room for the actual airport. (I will make room in the next few weeks) But so far the plane is larger than the 3181 plane. Measuring in at 52cm long and 45cm long wing span. Very easy to build. This time it has more interior than the 3181 plane, even has a split first class and economy section. The two engines used real lego propeller shapes which was good. Cockpit looks roomy, despite having the main center console being a sticker. (Kinda sucked as the side panels were imprinted). The front sliding door was definitely interesting, it replicated a real planes method of closing (if you have ever seen a plane shut, it is the same). What I found annoying was the why did lego only give two engines? There is room for 2 pairs or even 3 pairs of engines. Even has the grooves there. The wing lacked detail in my opinion, could have done more with it. No landing gear that is retractable but I guess this is not a technic set so it shouldnt be moveable. The front of the plane looks really good like an actual 747 plane. The tail to my surprise did NOT have a sticker as it was imprinted on! :o I was going to turn it into a QANTAS plane but no go now. :( The rear was just one whole piece which I found annoying would have been good to build the rear yourself or turn it into a cargo plane. Pros: Large! Interior is pretty good Door mechanism is good Front of plane looks awesome Cons: Only two engines with option for more but werent supplied. Wing span area lacked detail, as it was just one big plastic piece Could have done more with the rear. But overall I like it as it is a LEGO PLANE! Anyways here are the images and comments: Two bags split into two sections: Rear tail one whole piece: Building: See wing is one whole plastic piece! Interior microwave of some description: (Dont put the door the wrong way around! lol) Interior: Cockpit: The center was a sticker! the two sides were etched on. First class: Economy: Rear lacking some detail: 13x windows: One side window done: Both sides done: Door mechanism: Overview: Front of plane: Rear of plane with etched detail logo: The two engines with spinning fan parts: Base of plane: See heaps of room for more engines! Plane complete: Comparing the 3181 and 3182 plane:
  3. INDEXED As you all know Australia for some reason have all the City 2010 lego sets available. Here is my review of the 3182 Airport Set: Initial findings: 58cm (l) x 48cm (h) x 9cm (w) 1983 grams - Total 431 grams - Box Only Pieces ?? (Need to count as it again doesnt say on the box! - Do that later) Size and weights of the instruction books: Book 1: 20cm x 12.3cm - 26 grams Book 2: 28cm x 21.2cm - 141 grams Book 3: 27.3cm x 20.5cm - 121 grams Book 4: 13.3cm x 20cm - 21 grams Total weight of instuctions: 309 grams When opening the box DO NOT open both sides! Just open one side only as all items will fall out both ways if you open them both sides! Front box art: Rear box art: Box art: Showing which packets you use to make each part. The plane: Whole set: Airport car: HEY! I liked this lol All pieces lay out: Book 1: Book 2: Book 3: Book 4: Book 5: Interesting parts not part of the main packets: Contains the front and rear of the plane as one set, the wing as one whole piece and the base of the airport. ok time to build this........!
  4. ahaha this is really cool! Good work!
  5. LOL Ooops missed that white grill! Thanks Jammiedodger714 :P @Svelte: Definately europe version. Im surprised that the retailers here have released all the city 2010 sets early (except the fire ones). They arent even avaliable on S@H! I will build the airport plane tonight and do another mini/picture review of it. I got the little green alien's from the toy story set got em from BL. Cost me quite a bit, but I just couldnt help not buy it :P
  6. Couldnt help myself.. All aboard the Buzz Express Plane! I Buzz will be your captain today......Please buckle up and we hope you enjoy your flight..... :D
  7. Yea it's my first City set in like 20yrs. Building that towing car reminded me soooo much of the old days, esp the front of the car and the radio how it's attached to the car on the side! Although it seems lego have changed the wheels. They used to be more grooved, but I guess it's a tow vehicle. For the price of $49 AUD I thnk it's a good set.
  8. I posted pictures and comments. Looking at the airport right now and OMG it looks sooooooo BIG and would definitely be awesome! Will build it tomorrow.
  9. Building this was really easy. Instructions were simple and clear. Took about an hr with breaks taking photos. The set is pretty funky to build, it kinda reminded me of the Titanic as I was building it from the base up. The plane once built measures approx 37cms long. 38 cm wide (depending on the end wings), and 14cm high. I really liked the interior of the plane as the windows used 20 clear pieces for 10 windows. The two engines were interesting too as it uses some technic bits. Wheels all move as does the towing car. 3 minifigs are present. One of them had a suitcase which was openable. The towing car reminded me of some of the older mini car sets I used to play with. (Shown in one of the images) Here are the build pictures: The Minifigs: Captain: Passenger and worker: With suitcase open: Initial building: Cockpit has etched markings so no stickers needed in it: Funky windows with clear pieces: Side done with windows: All aboard! I just had to do this! With cover: The engine of the plane, used some technic parts and was pretty cool: Added engine with plane: Front wheels of the plane: Bottom of the plane: Unused parts: Whole set: The towing car with a very very old car set next to it: (Found it in my old box of lego ~20yrs ago) Pros: Easy to build, moveable. Towing car is cool. Price is CHEAP for the size! Cons: Wish it made noises and had more moving parts, but I guess that's more to do with technics. A great set for any plane airport collection.
  10. Yea it had the 'special' tag on for $114. :)

  16. AWESOME! Im soooooo going to Kmart after work. I sound like a little kid! :P
  17. Wow no way!? Go buy it! http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=3222-1 Doesnt even have details of prices!
  18. So who took the effiel tower from myers cbd early this morning? Damm you! I went to get it just now and the lady said it went early in the morning. Doh! All 3 taj mahals where gone too.
  19. If you sell it at $300 with a starting bid of $300 it will cost you: $2.50 Listing fee $10.13 Final value fee $8.10 Paypal fee (Depending on shipping cost) As paypal fees incorporates shipping. If you start at 99cents, the listing fee will be 30cents. The higher it ends at the slightly more fee you'll pay. For shipping use Registered Post with insurance up to the final bid value (this ensures that if anything happens you wont be liable and everything is covered. This would be a must for a big item. Also might want to look at courier quote at this place: http://www.interparcel.com.au/quote/ Type in "ebayparcel" under discount to get a 10% discount. Note: You need to add 10% GST to final value it is shown. Hope this helps you. I would concider buying it but ive spent wayyy too much on lego lately.
  20. Seems ok I think TRU had em for $60 a while ago? or was that $80. Im gonna pickup lego 8674 for $150 on Sunday! Wooooo
  21. Where did you hear this? I dont want to go up to Myers CBD and find out that this is not the case and waste my time. EDIT: ok nvm I found it: https://www.myerone.com.au//myerone/downloa...1_day_offer.pdf Is it worth getting the Eiffel Tower? $319
  22. Yea I got em from BL. :( Cost a mint! Hopefully hidden in the credit card bill somewhere. But I love em! Figured if I'm to get many of the aliens, it's cheaper than buying the Construct-A-Buz or Zurg sets 15 times over. haha Yea I'd like to make a machine for em! But with work and life it's hard to fit major lego sets and builds in. Wish I was a kid again with lots of time.
  23. Cant wait till this set is out! Is there an ETA for rls date?
  24. So these arrived today..... The Claw! The Claw is our master. The Claw chooses who will go and who will stay. A stranger. From the outside. Oooooooooooooooh. Go BUZZ VRRRRROOM I have been chosen. Farewell, my friends. I go to a better place.
