I was just skimming through my LEGO catalogue when I noticed something rather weird : some of the models shown in it are not the actual models you get when you buy them. And even weirder, sometimes, the changes don't actually make sense (well, in my opinion at least). The example I have in mind right now concerns the Imperial Landing Craft. In the catalogue, they show it like this : Now, I grant you, the difference really isn't obvious at first glance. But if you look more closely, you might notice this : See better, now? And then there is this too : while the final design of the cocpit (not sure of the spelling, here...) is like this : and of the whole thing like this : Now, my question is, why the late change, even more when it's such a few thing. An why I beleive it doesn't make sense is because as a curiosity, I tried the previous design and guess what : the attachement is much sturdier that way and it takes even less pieces to do it !!! 8 1x1 pieces with that round hole thingy on the side, compared to 12 1x1 pieces with a pincer. And then, I believe the pilot console looks a bit more detailed in the first version as well. So wht did they remove those? I believe that if we add the pieces from the console to the 8 pieces from the top, we get 12, which is the amount of little pincers we have instead... I can't decide between the AT AT and the UCS ISD... Because the ISD is the best looking model by far (and also for the fact that I had to save money for four years to afford it :-D ) but the AT AT is the set I had the most fun building. And modding afterward (though only the inside, considering the outside is near perfect looking).

actually, it's got three eyes. They did it right in the old technic version. (mmmh, my first lego sw set... I remember it fondly, it was the first time I bought a lego set in secret, since my parents didn't allow it... Told me I was too grown up for that... As if that was even remotely possible... :'-) )

Ahaaaah, are thay finally really going into the EU? May be we'll start to see some cool Yuuzhan Vong things then... (heh, I can have my hopes, can't I)

In Belgium, I've never seen it anywhere in any shop... I had to buy mine off eBay... Even weirder : has anyone noticed that this set isn't even in the official catalogue? That made me think it was a S@H exclusive but it wasn't mentioned as such there... :-/

another weird thing about that set : have yout noticed that it isn't in the official LEGO catalogue? There is the B-Wing, the TIE Interceptor and the V-Wing as well as the Slave 1 Sail Barge ant ISD but no A-wing... I wonder why...It's as if it is a S@H exclusive but they forgot to tell us... But then, if some of you have seen it on shelves... (I never did, I ordered mine on eBay. But I'm in Belgium, and it kind of sucks to find anything LEGO, here...)

Well, MY favourite batman show is Batman Beyond, but somehow, I doubt THAT would make a good LEGO line... though the have some very nice villains, too... Royal Flush Gang, anyone? *wub*

any news from that Exo-Force Bridge Walker thingy we heard of a few while ago? I loved the alternate models of it... especially that white fighterjet... it would fit nicely along my stealth wasp...
