  1. This is a very good entry and a cool presentation. I especially like the pic where the pirates steal the door from the ship. That's hilarious. Your captain was my first post-darkage minifig and I like him a lot. And the scary look you gave him fits perfectly. Also in the grilling-a-fish-pic. Keep the black flag raised (I mean, keep playing Lego)!
  2. I was there a couple of weeks ago, thoroughly filling a cup. And one staff member actually encouraged another customer to do it like me because then he would get more... I think that answers your question.
  3. It's really a pity that your camera is broken. Your house is simple but stylish. I like the interior, especially the cupboard and the bedside cabinet. I would have expected a bit more green since a gardener lives there. (Or am I completely wrong and plantation house means something else?) Nice entry!
  4. Finally a vegeterian helicopter! It looks very nice and slick. I really like it. Not a lot of parts but all of them used in such a clever and distinguished way one wouldn't expect. By the way, what part is used for the cockpit?
  5. Less is sometimes more. Just imagine... Very nice entry with lots of weird action going on (I mean, also on the outside).
  6. Thanks a lot for the nice comments! I was a bit nervous about joining the community build because this is actually the first time I have put a moc on the internet. I rediscovered Lego not that long ago. So thank you Ratshot for organizing the community build! That way I just had to build and(!) take pictures of it. Hopefuly many more entries are popping up today and tomorrow. "Blogged!" does mean it appears on classic-pirates.com?! That's so cool! Thank you. I can't, however, check it because the site seems to be not working for me right now...
  7. Thanks for the nice review, especially for the pictures with the pile of bricks. I don't own this set but each time I saw a picture of it I was actually seeing a big pile of parts. Such a richness. Yoda, the model that is, is okay but does not especially appeal to me. For example, the mouth looks a bit flat. Congrats for getting this set!
  8. Very nice. Although this outpost is overrun by orcs, I like that it looks so comical and thus peaceful. The sleeping knight, an orc in the tree (almost flying) and all knights look away (coincidentally), and the line of orcs: for me they look like laughing about this scene. Great! And as said above, the bridge and the leg-windows are very clever. The bridge, however, does'nt look very sturdy.
  9. #11: Dentists office For more please visit here!
  10. It looks innocent from the outside. Come in, please... Have a sit... (and pay) Goldtooth wil treat you... And finally the requested roof picture Comments and critique are welcome!
  11. For me the Gentlemans club would hard as well. I don't really have any gentlemen, so I would prefer to keep the dentists office. But if you badly want the dentist, may be we can find a third trading partner. I also wouldn't mind if we would have two dentists in town. In the early 18th century dental hygiene was probably not a top priority, so there should be enough work for both of us...
  12. I would like to do the dreaded dentists office (number 11).
  13. Thank you all for the warm welcome. I like the bad guys as well. But my favorite fraction would probably be the rioting townsfolk opposing against the tax collectors of the king. I'm not so much into fantasy. My guess is that many will continue to call the theme castle. Just as an overall name for all the different castle and knight related themes that came out.
  14. Hello dear Afols, I was browsing the internet and this site when I got back into Lego this summer. Regarding bricks I started from zero since I left my childhood lego at my parents place. Such that their grandchildren have something to play with. In the first few months building mocs required nearly all of my collection. This was fun as well since I had to improvise a lot. Now my collection is bigger. (My wife got me the MMV this christmas.) But I still don't keep anything together, at least not more than a week or two. I build all kind of stuff (not in a single theme). But if I have to choose then Castle is my favorite. And I don't care too much about minifigs (still don't have that many) but I like my models to be minifig or system scale (i.e. minifigs can be put in). I also like to include some function, some gears or so. I hope to contribute to eurobricks, Christoph
