1. today i recieved my 8258 from post office, price with shipping: 505 PLN (175 USD) and this price is average for Poland. Check for set prices on bricklink: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?q=8258
2. This is youtube embed code:
3. Still waiting for my 8258 - when i get this, i'll try tu build something similiar to this thread mod :)
4. Without any modifications of socket or ball parts, this suspension idea is not quite good. Build, and test it - and another problem - size of suspension built with these parts. I think it will be hard or impossible to build it in 1:13 scale or smaller.
5. It`s bad idea in my opinion. Ive tried this concept, practice proved that is too tight link for suspension. And ball socket and ball parts are good, but hard to make good and durable suspension for trtr.
6. Better quality of photos, some changes of storage ideas.
7. Add some wheels, it works. But this model looks better standing on bookshelf
8. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=50904 this looks very useful.
9. Atr why Jeep Wiliys ? Maz is better for that competition :P
10. This chassis (from photos in 1 posts) not exists. Now im building improved version - small dimensions, turntables between each axle. First front axle with turntable is finished.
11. Only one, in 8297 model - something wrong with back of jeep near shock absorbers, i didnt remebmer details of this mistake. I think this is true.
12. U-joint is too weak for truck trial. And remember: Each gear must have strength mount. From previous version of chassis: One gear broken, and one axle.
13. This connector will be removed, this is only for chassis tests. Yes 8 wheel drive, 4 wheels steered.
14. I`m Building 8x8 truck, for polish truck trial competition. Work in progress, some photos and one test video: Sorry for photos and video quality. Soon i`ll add some with better quality. Motors used: 2 x PF XL 2 x PF M 8 wheel drive, 4 wheels steering (possibility to independent steering each axle) Reduction: 1:9
15. It's not efficient with huge amount of parts, and sorted parts improves building speed. Somethin about my trtr truck - plans changed, no tatra. I decided to build simple 8x8 chasis, then choose model of truck and built cab and other stuff. Chasis elements ready, Darth Legolas photos especially for you. (sorry for quality, i used phone to make some photos)
16. Epic, instane, stunning.
17. It will take some weeks or months... My plan is to use 2 xl motors, and 2 M with 2 battery boxes. T 815 8x8 on 94,8 x 44 wheels.
18. Iam building Truck for Truck Trial competition.
