Isn't it a requirement that we have to be crazy in the first place to join up in a mafia?? No, but he does have a point... -

Sure, why not. 1. I've played in a few games...which includes Western Mafia and Witch Hunt, both of which I won in 2. I don't see any complications in my future here, all looks to be well. 3. Well, I can definitely identify with Balder as a townie, especially in Excalibur 2.0 when I was killed by my own team! As scum, hmm, I think Hel would be a good one, helpful in times of need and vengeful on those who cross me. -
Stop being confusing Yeah, well we expected a conclusion where the scum team didn't get killed, but it looks like all our expectations were dashed !
-
Huh? Shadows and I argued ?

Though you didn't include Draggy's killing action, you did include the scum action of Draggy with the rest of the scum actions, so that just keeps the consistency of the thought that Draggy's killing action was his own, so stayed in his role pm. Again, there was reason to think of why there was a separation that didn't lead to "Oh, he must be a fake!" I still think that what you thought was obvious really wasn't.

Don't get your hopes up, Hinck ! Most of this conversation took place before we converted Draggy and concerned if any of us were stumps, before we let the lumberjack in o our parade. It was all done to try and avoid as little influence from you as possible when it came to the situation of the serial killer. There was a comment that you were hiding something, but after the argument in the pm thread, I thought it all sorted out and moved on from that fuss. I guess that's one thing I should learn to do, always look back at everything related to the game, because there's always something... Never did the possibility of a fake conversion enter my mind. I didn't see any of the controversy of Draggy's role as particularly threatening to the scum team. It's probably a mix of my mistake (which is a mistake that I would not have realized I made until after the conclusion), your white lies, Draggy's subtle deception, and the argument that clouded everything and made it a very difficult thing to spot for us. Why, whhhhyyyyy could we convert the serial killer!? Boooo to that!

I had a lot of fun playing Casey Cat. She was a cool character and the only pussy...cat in town. For some reason I thought she painted people's houses on a canvas, not just painting the actual, physical house I don't know why. Coming into this I was excited. Very excited. Over excited. Too excited. Crap, shoot, I made a mistake. I really jumped in and I know it was my overeagerness in the game that screwed me over. I just became a bumbling mess whenever I was accused. (I think the only times I've ever been accused in a mafia were in The Forest games. I clearly panicked and I just degraded on day one. I underestimated people's analysis capabilities on day one and that hurt me. I forgot I was in the big league, this time! I tried to be somewhat neutral in the duel between Gordon and Petey, but it somehow came out that I was defending Petey and I felt like words were being put into my mouth, so my defense was awful. Never, ever, ever, ever saying "a fair cop" again. I was surprised Rufus remembered it and just latched onto that against me. Oh for goodness sake. I misread Scuba's "consistent" post, so, yeah, that was screwy. The events of Day One really changed the game for me, negatively, and there was little I could have done to avoid biting the bullet. I can only take partial, partial, partial credit for being able to last three more days after that. I survived on luck. Luck that the town somehow thought they cleared me and didn't think much of my behavior. Had Tammo fought for his life on Day 2, I would have probably been lynched instead, but with my luck, that didn't happen. I sort of regret going after Ralphy, in the end it only really hurt me, but I at least got one townie killed by a lynch Then Day 4 happened. Worst. Time. Ever. That was honestly depressing and stressful how that went down. My luck not only ran out, it inverted and turned into bad luck...an anti-luck to be more dramatic. I think had I had my computer, I would have done a much much better job in my defense. Instead I panicked while writing on my tiny phone keyboard and scrolling around reading a tiny EB board, all between classes and moving into a new place. What a mess. It didn't help that my main accuser was 5 hours ahead of me and was in bed by the time I could reply to his defense. I blame my awful, all over the place defense on all that, sorry it made you cringe. I'll have to improve on that next time Definitely my worst performance as a scum, I think, I only ended up getting myself killed, but I hope I helped my team more so than myself. I definitely need to re-evaluate my play and tweak it and improve it. It's not very mechanical, which I'm not sure is a good or bad thing. I could probably do well if I put a little more of the mechanical aspect of mafia in my play style and take out a bit of the human element, though, I do attribute the latter to my slipperiness from getting lynched . Thank you for the analysis, I really appreciate it and hope to use it to improve myself for my next game, whenever that'll be. This was a very big up and down roller-coaster experience for me, but I at least enjoyed all the jokes and interludes and all the quirks that make a Hinckley game fun !

I find that odd. In his win condition, it says he has to kill all other players, but in the end he gets a magical extra kill. That's contradicting (taking it in a very literal sense). I just find the last kill to be totally unmotivated outside of the "with the last three players" rule (which I personally am rejecting because of how weird it seems to me). You know what, Mafia is stupid, why do I play these games??? Oh, right, for the emotional rollercoasters :cry_happy:

Not to say we weren't wrong, but we had less control about making wrong decisions. I agree with all of this. Definitely lessons for the future. I re-read the serial killer's role and I don't know why you have that if it's draggy and three other people, he automatically wins That seems a bit extreme, doesn't it? To me, I'd like to have seen Draggy and Shadows alone on Day 8. It'd be interesting how they'd have to be super careful not to get penalties. In this situation, Shadows would win, right? I think you said somewhere that the last scum alive gets both the kill and block action, so that could've resulted in Shadows winning. It's possible under that situation, Draggy would've had to work harder to to make sure he's the last one stuck with a townie and not a scum. I think that would have been a fairer way to end things, but I'm just too hopeful . I look forward to seeing what could have been. It's true that by using suicides, there's less chances of the kill going wrong, but I think that in the end there weren't many roles left to make things go wrong. Nyaaaar har har. Mwahahahahahahahaha! Oogity-boogity! Blagh blah! Psych psych psych! Careful what you say

One thing that I don't like is that we were able to convert the serial killer (which I feel this did not balance, but rather overpowered the puppet role). I don't know why the sk was given to us as convertible. I feel that "convertible" should really have been unreadable or something different than the normal townie convertible, something a little more tangible. Things could have gone differently, but in this set up, it just compromised us so much. In the deadboard, I had to restrain myself from saying that we converted the SK, because people were still guessing that the SK could still go with the town. I was dead certain that the SK could not deviate from his scum team and it would mean we all won together, and it's this shattered expectation that hurts the most. The biggest point I can make here is that I've never ever seen anything like a betraying SK, (I've never even experienced a usurper) so it was very, very difficult for me to just try and spot something like that, whereas Hinck and Foog knew what these clues alluded to. This is my justification for my incapability in finding truth in the clues. In the end I can't deny the mechanics and the possibilities and can accept what happened, but I'm still left with this feeling of unfairness (however false that is). Concerning the puppet role, I really like the concept. For the most part, it worked in the field. I found myself annoyed when I learned that the puppet was alerted that he killed somebody (this was after I died). Halfway through the game, the town knew correctly what exactly was going on. It seems so obvious of a role now. The only benefit ended that I wouldn't be directly responsible for the kill, in the exception of suicides (WHICH, btw, I don't understand why, when Shadows inherited the role, he mostly had his puppets commit suicide. It'd have been much safer to have somebody else target your intended and I'm proven right when Rufus tracked Shadows targeting Rufus. I think that was a mistake which should have been avoided). The puppet-killer role, I feel, is very easy to breakdown and it wouldn't be difficult to figure out who did the killing in the end. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, between the day intros and what the puppets were told, the puppet role was too obvious and I'd have liked it to be a little harder to figure out. I feel I didn't get to use the role to its potential and I'm disappointed with having never used the puppet-victim combo successfully. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and it's a good twist to the usual kill, despite it's weak security. Was this a a concept that you made up? Take everything I say with a grain of salt, it's probably wrong and I'm not seeing things right, but that's just what I'm thinking so far. It's hard for me to properly gauge my reaction to this because I died having been relatively active in the scum team, but everything after that didn't involve me, so I couldn't really be in the thought process of analyzing why things were happening. I could've spotted it, but who knows. Likewise. It was great being evil and conniving with you, as well . I had fun with this scum team, though I wish we discussed strategy a little more than we did, especially in the beginning where there wasn't all that much being said on our evilboard. Still, I enjoyed being in the company of such fine mafiosos and what we did do was great. It's a shame all of that was compromised so much by our failure to notice Draggy's true "affiliation". I was taken halfway through the game, so it never even occurred to me about Draggy and I didn't look into it much after I died. Even after I died, I was still evil and I couldn't help myself comment (non-influential stuff, btw) on the evilboard and also in my attempts to deceive the dead townies. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but the dead could participate in the puzzles and give their team an action. Unfortunately I never got a chance to properly answer one and help you guys out that way Even if I don't fully comprehend the "why" of everything, I'm going to just and resolve that I had a fun experience (with some bumps along the way). EDIT: I guess a good way to put it is that I'm just trying to find some closure

Me too. Despite being screwed over (not really, but it feels like it) I'd give it another go whenever comes up, though hopefully not too soon. Maybe it'll be about the spirit of the crow Oh! That reminds me! OH MY GOD!! I end up not only being scum in both games, but also the killer in both games! I couldn't believe the coincidence. I've got to carry on the spirit of the crow, then !

I just realized, this is the second time in a week I've had a win torn away from me, here and in the mafiaception game Oh, my poor emotions :cry3: :cry3:

I wish I saw your very quick meat shielding as an omen to betrayal, but no way anything like that would have happened Good on you, though. Makes me regret converting you now, or me not going with my plans to throw you under the bus to save myself on Day 4. Congrats on the win, jerk Guess I'll post a more reflective post of myself tomorrow, but overall I'm both happy and disappointed in my efforts. Like Hinck says above, I panic easily. I really wish my conditions were better, but it's impossible to predict when things go absolutely against you. I just did not perform as well as I liked and it was absolutely frustrating when I was getting lynched. That was the worst ever. Whatever, move on. Past the extremely high stress-inducing moments, I had fun, and that's what matters. Even had fun in death pestering the dead. Sorry, I'm annoying That's all, for now. I'm going to cry myself to sleep now! :cry_sad: :cry_sad: :cry_sad:

They won't take the video down, however the video is probably blocked in certain countries because of the copyright. That's happened to a video of mine. -

Haha , I'm sure it's a good kind of monster ! There were times when I was begging for a close up or a different angle to happen with the music, but I guess that's just the cinematic perfectionist in me . You should do more I went into my YouTube video settings and nowhere did I see anything about mobile enabling/disabling features, that's odd  !
