Excalibur 2.0: Confirmation and Discussion
Scouty replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Oh, my car gets broken into and now this, waaaaaah ! I'm so sad because I was having a great time !! Thanks for letting me play, I had fun and I hope the town goes on to win it! -
They were either lucky, or somebody that wasn't supposed to know was alerted that darkdragon would be targeted. I'm trying to see if the latter is possible.
-
Oh, it means "too long, didn't read". Well, quite frankly, minus the multiple repostings, it wasn't that long of a read/defense At least compared to some very big Dragonator-esque essays we've seen before
-
Oooh , that's a very good point. I was ruling out blocker since I assumed the vig was blocked, but the recent evidence now makes her either the scum blocker or the scum watcher, two very good roles to get rid of !
-
It is an err to expect the exact same from the simulation, so a vanilla scum may be possible. Still, though you may not be the killer, the blocker, or even the scum protector, that still leaves you with possibly being the scum watcher. That makes 5 scum, which I think has become the general consensus of how many Purists there are (Minus scummy Gordon, of course). Usually when you do contribute something, it's generally been a summarization, and last time, I recall, a summarization that was somewhat outdated. The only reason the scum would protect you, as a "townie", was if there was a leak in the town block, alerting them to the plans. There's no other logical reason for the scum to protect you, out of 10 people, on the very slim chance that you might be targeted. Thy'd have to know you were being targeted, they'd have to know we'd even assume things will fall as they did fall. Your being set-up sounds like a 1 in a couple thousand chance in actually working. Nu-uh, you're a Purist and you're not evading your friend Gordon's fate this time. What does that mean There's too many acronyms in this game...of life !!

I've had the longest suspicion of Rockford, mostly due to her lackadaisical replies in thread, and this recent evidence is at least more compelling than that against Holloway. Vote: Ensign Toby Rockford (darkdragon)
-
It would be worth the effort if he could nab some of the unknown power roles so the scum can quietly surpress them.
-
Yeah, unless there's reason to suspect that the vig is at more risk than the other role. Last night proved those suspicions correct. From what I gathered in private and in public, you manage to persuade a player to change the protection (or at least that player was smart to mislead you), and you seemed quite happy about that and told the vig he was no longer being protected. Now, from here, you either are town and just wanted to discuss the "new" plan, or you told your scum buddies that a different player was being protected and that they/you were free to attack the vig, who I'm sure the scum are afraid of as we get more on their heels. But, he was targeted by the scum killer The killer was not blocked last night, so unless he didn't go out tonight, I can't find another reason as to why to reject that the scum attacked the vig, but he was protected. That's a pretty good strategy, but it also shows that scum can look very townie. Though he was suspected, Gordon fooled many people into thinking he was town. Besides being a dick, he didn't have much scummy-ness going for him. Did you get any potential scummy reactions?
-
Aye, he does seem scummy to me. Holloway has come to me in an effort to form a new town block, based on a strategy he's developed to help him figure out who he thinks is town. With this strategy, he claims he already rounded up 7 or more people. I think this is too good to be true. Even on a townie basis, I've stated my worries that this might be an attempt to round up the town into a convenient pen for our slaughter. It seems to me that this "strategy" from Holloway is simply his knowledge of who is not scum. Lt. Commander Wilder's interactions, and Holloway's reactions, only make things smell more fishy. It struck me as odd that Holloway wished me to try and influence the protector to target a different target than Wilder. That indeed did not happen and our Vig is still alive
-
It's a shame the Vig kill didn't work, but otherwise, it sounds like somebody did a good job last night. Hopefully we can learn something from that. Otherwise, I think it'd be a good idea to lunch one of the intended targets today. At the most at least no townie died last night, just scummy scum scum Gordon.
-
We are operating a scientific reasearch naval vessel. We get quality holo-beach time when we've done our jobs .
-
Shall we use these next two days the rest of the day to gather ourselves, ask some more questions, and try and slip up another scum? We have plenty of time, and time that should not be wasted in celebration.
-
I did legitimately think your advanced knowledge was suspicious before the magic stump revealed you. I do admit that I was more concentrated on other things and didn't give it too much thought. Thanks for playing! You know, this game of life...
-
Oh, look, just as I was typing that ! Vote: Commander Andrew Gordon (scubacarrot) Sorry, Gordon, doesn't look like we become friends in the end and conquer evil, since you are evil already, and stuff...
-
Can we vote yet? It's been more than 24 hours .
-
That's a good point. If Gordon already knows the other two, then there's not much point in withholding the information. It might also help confirm the other two. If they're town, then the scum already know, most likely, so everybody else might as well know. If the other one or two are scum, then maybe revealing them will alert the real blocker/vigilante and hopefully they can tell someone trustworthy that the other two are lying, but it'd be risky for the scum to put two of their own in a town block like that.
-
Bye magic mushroom pooping tree stump, you were the best
-
That's because he was being a dick. Meanie poopie head I had a feeling that Gordon knew too much to be just an innocent townie or even a power role townie. This just confirms my suspicion and makes me smack myself in the head. Wow, we really needed that.
-
Well, that clears up a lot of things. Everybody hug the stump!
-
You're a looney for thinking the Purists are dumb enough to fall for your "bluff". [Commander Walters puts on his best mock-Purist voice] "Oh, look, somebody might tell us the town power roles! We should totally contact him and potentially blow our cover! We're so smart, ah ah ah!" I'd be even more harsh on you, but your current personality was only here after this same idea failed miserably the first time around. Still, you'd be having delusions of grandeur if you thought your hodgepodge of a plan would work.
-
Donna donna donna donna.
-
I had. It's pretty confusing, but what I got out of it was that Donna claimed to York, then Donna dies. Is that right? Anyways, in the end, York ought to be lynched.
-
But how would you be aware of 3 Power Roles with the limited time you've been aboard this ship? As a townie (whose been under dubious suspicion), I doubt 3 Power roles claimed to you even since the beginning. You have to be in some group to gain this sort of foreknowledge; good, neutral, or evil. The later two seem more likely to me. Thank you for being calm and not Flipzy
-
Don't blame us, blame the Purists/neutral what'shisface!
