  1. Soren eyes the casing closely, before leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms. 'Seems like it'd be best to hit their factory or somethin' like that if they keep botherin' you like this. But sure, we can kill a drone. 'Sounds easy 'nough.
  2. Soren glances back at his compatriots before returning to the masked woman. 'Seemed like a lot of work just to get past this settlement, but he supposed there was no point trying to shoot their way out. Best to follow along, at least for now. So you're asking us to destroy a drone.
  3. The pilot shifts in his seat, feeling more comfortable in the speeder than following the group into strange territory. But if they wanted to make any progress, they were going to have to give a little. The guard didn't seem like he would kill them if they didn't give him any cause to. Yeah, sure, whatever. Jus' don't touch the speeder.
  4. Sorry, all! What I get for rushing a post; everything should be cleared up now.
  5. A brief fanfare and the Hart insignia flash on the Quest Board. Current Sign Ups for Mission 7: Varen (KotZ) Yelana (Classic_Spaceman) Zaria (Kintober) "Apologies for the delays! Sign-ups close October 24th!"
  6. Soren meets Valesia's glance, uncomfortable with his surroundings. He didn't know enough about this place; would I guy like this go ballistic if they mentioned Invictus? What was their angle here? The pilot eyes the guard a little closer. He was all but imperceptible behind the mask, but from behind his sunglasses he took a moment to study the man's body posture, trying to gain insight as to how he was feeling. Nervous? Anxious? Angry?
  7. 'At's a good call; do we have any preference which point we hit first? If it's all the same to you, I think it best we keep the skiffs together. Clearly having 'em tied up together ain't much a deterrent to my piloting, after all.
  8. Soren glances over his shoulder and flashes a grin as the crew bumpily passes the outcrop. What did I tell you? Not a problem. What can I say? I'm good at my job. Are we splitting up, then?
  9. I'm thinkin' either way we turn is going to be a sharp adjustment, this way at least gives us something soft to land on if things go sideways. Soren cranks the controls to the left, trying to skirt past the rock towards the sand.
  10. I reckon we're going to be making some tight maneuvers, might be best to get a lock on that cargo. Looks like we've got a choice - I 'magine headin' towards the dunes is smarter than that sloped stone, right? Say, Max, do you think you'd be able to put that shield of yours to use at all?
  11. 'Been meaning to get some solid practice in, a trip through the storm should be no sweat. Soren gives a confident crack of his neck, eager to get behind the controls of a vehicle again.
  12. Ah. 'Didn't catch that it was today. You fly around enough, you realize everyone's got their own names for things. You think whoever's scumming with the signals might be doing some sort of... resistance action, then? In light of the gate collapse? Sticking it to the man, as it were?
  13. I've done a fair share of flying in my days. 'Can't imagine the skiffs are much different. Say, what's this Day of Desolation you mentioned?
  14. That's... quite a range. A ritual or a prank? I guess we'll hope for the latter. Sounds like pretty routine work. 'Pparently my questmates are dumbstruck, but I think I got enough of the details. When do we head out? Sorry for the delay, been a very chaotic weekend!
  15. Do you mean to the exclusion of impacting the current round of combat? I'm not sure I'd be a fan of that.
  16. My story? Oh, you mean the train. Yeah, poor communication, mostly. Y'know how they say it kills, and all that. Uh-huh - you mentioned in the initial brief that this broadcast we're looking for had 'ominous contents' or something? What exactly does that mean?
  17. Biased against, eh? 'At's an interesting take. Soren shrugs. Personally, I'm not exactly against a peaceful option, I'm just not prone to goin' outta my way to seek one out. I look for whate'ers direct, right? 'Guess that means we've gotta whole spectrum of viewpoints here. Snazzy.
  18. 'Not sure I share you're optimism, but I'll admit you've been doing this a lot longer than I have. I imagine that comes with a certain amount patience I lack.
  19. The job went up in smoke, not the train. ...Actually, the train did, too, but that wasn't our fault. 'Impressive work with the colony, though. Maybe we'll have as much luck with this broadcast thing.
  20. 'Sure did. Train job that went up in smoke. 'Got some decent pay out of it in the end, though. You took that rat job, right? Well, we ain't all sunshine and rainbows, either. We can take whatever they throw at us.
  21. Soren glances up at Valesia. While he didn't share her boundless optimism, he couldn't deny it was a nice change of pace. Sure, I'll take one.
  22. Soren watched silently as the ship began to touch down on Corvanis. Another job, another city. He just hoped this one went smoother than the last. Apparently, I never updated my stats after coming back from #1 - everything in the registry should now be proper for you!
  23. Soren returns to the Hall, and looks through the quest lists. Hart? No way he was doing another company mission, not for a hot minute, at least. Communication problems, that seemed more low-key. Soren Aeolus signs up for Mission 6.
