  1. If you could tell me what version of illustrator you use and where the "Live Trace button" is, I'd gladly do it.
  2. You're on a roll with these things I see! They are very good, but it's a great shame about the pixelated edges. Have you thought of using another program? I believe something called paint.NET would work quite the same as paint but without those jaggered edges.
  3. That looks great, you can see the face is printed a little, and the eyes are indeed a tad large. but the torso's very clean and looks just like it's a printed torso. Good job! Are you gonna make a vig or something with him?
  4. Just look at that skin.. 8-
  5. Bonaparte, Bonaparte... Why do you always take the hard way? Just take a big can of white paint, drop in all your yellowed bricks and voila! That's like 10 times quicker and easier. 19 days, that's quite long! Well, anyway, your experiment is coming along quite nicely. If this is a succes, do you plan to use the same stuff on your other yellowed bricks?
  6. Nice! If only lego would make Castles like these. The left tower is very pretty, same goes for the tudor at the right tower. Though, I think the black wall doesn't look good on this MOC. It's so.. solid black. A bit like the big gray wall sindrome, but black. Perhaps some gray stones here and there could make it look better. I would've used gray for the entire wall, with some dark gray stones scattered over the wall. Then again, this remains better than any castle I've made. *y* On to the tudor. The tudor itself is very cool, nice colourscheme! But I'm not sure about the roofing. I think it would alot better if you put it in a stud, so you can't see any studs of the roof bricks. Other than that it's fine. Ok, enough negative remarks now! I think the design is very good, and there's quite a lot of cool details! The cornerstones by the prison door and the windows really add something to this MOC. The vegetation is also very good. Good work! All these castles lately make me wish I had more gray bricks..
  7. Thanks for the pics! It sure is a cool torso, although I prefer the other ones for soldiers. This one reminds me more of a royal gaurd or the tunic a knight wears under his armor. I could get used to it I think. Anyway it's great for army building I guess! I hope it'll make Holland soon! *sweet*
  8. I believe we haven't met yet, so welcome to EB! *sweet* You are the one who won this eBay auction aren't you? Nice! Did you make use of the pieces in it for your ship?
  9. Good Go.. Devil! This last month of the year is bringing great MOCs!! So many great details. And I love that tiled pavement! *wub* And yet so.. macaber.. Cooking heads, giving evil sacrifices... *skull* You did a real god job on this one! Sinister on! >:-)
  10. I believe I said that wrong, this is what it's supposed to be: Cause you said you wanted to make a variation on the Prince's flag, but I've been on several replica VOC ships, and they flew the Red-white-blue variant. So Red is the answer! *sweet*
  11. Hurrah!!! De Nederlanders zijn gekomen!! :'-) :'-) *sing* Have you thought of making flags for the VOC? It's quite simple, just a regular Dutch flag with the VOC emblem.
  12. Don't worry about those pics, it's good as long as they show the beauty of the MOC, and they certainly do! It's magnificent! Great use of those burps. I just love these tudor house/castle combination, can't get enough of them. Cool details, the drunk guy and the made guy is a very funny touch! :-D Nice vegetation, and the interior is really cool! Studless floors! Love that *wub* Castle on!!
  13. I'm happy you bumped this thread RTLG!! Otherwise this beautiful creation wouldn't even have come to my attention. The trick with the tree is so clever. 8-
  14. You are a true master... :'-) Takeshi hair used as cabbage, brick built animals, it's just great! I would be amazed if you wouldn't win a prize, this is just superb! The use of dark and light gray in the ruin looks so real. It's just plain brilliant.. Chapeau!
  15. MOCs like these prove your great creativity!! Hat! From the beginning to the end you don't fail to please! I'm only not so fond of the Snow White scene, but it's quite clever. The farm and the bakery are my favorite ones, really lovely peaceful little scenes. The big flags make me think the baker has something to celebrate though. Nevertheless it looks great. The cornplants and the scarecrow on the barn are really great touches! *y* On to the others. The Dragon festival: Overall it looks very nice, but I can't help to notice the entrance looks a bit.. well.. Thrown together. Despite that the rest looks very good. Especially the flags. Black Plaque: A very detailed scene. Wonderful! All those burning corpses. Macaber, yet so cool. Wonder why they would need gold though. Snow White: Not so fond of this one.. I don't know what it is but I can't quite place my finger on it. I think I don't like those trees. Black Falcon's pilgrimage: Nicely detailed, not too much, but nice. I wonder though, what's the thing at the left of the bow? Well, I think you certainly have a chance on a prize! And btw... I wouldn't be so sure if Hinckley's really planning to BUY that croissant.. X-D
  16. Alot of action in this one! This is one of the most creative Caf
  17. Thanks for the news and Welcome to EB! Looks very interesting and dangerous. 8-
  18. That's veeeeerry interesting... And creative. Reminds me of Escher. I have no other words for this 8-
  19. Very true, save the trains!! The old man is a very nice touch *y* Cleverly done. 9 volt on!
  20. You even have the box! Splendid review. I also own this one, and I think there's nothing to complain about. (more figs would be appreciated though, a sneaky pirate perhaps) 4 out of 5!
  21. I'd love to tell long an exciting stories like those above, but my story is really simple. I always loved pirates, swords, ships, parrots etc.. My love for pirates probably started when I first saw the Peter Pan movie. I wanted Captain Hook to win though, didn't care about that annoying boy in tights. Around the same time I discovered LEGO, but I haven't always been a fan of pirates. It started with a little car and I wanted to make a city. That was too boring to my taste, so I picked another theme, wich was castle; I still like that theme. Due to unknown reason I hopped to the wonderful theme Pirates. At my fifth birthday I got my first pirate (sort of) ship: The Armada Flagship. I'm very sure I told my parents very clearly I wanted the BSB X-D. Although, at that time, I didn't even know it was called the BSB so I told them I wanted a pirate ship. And they must have picked the first and cheapest pirate ship they found.. Anyway, from that day on I pretty much stayed into pirates and castle, until Lord of the Rings showed up. I was 100% into castle again. That died out pretty much and I heard of Pirates of the Caribbean. My love for pirates was back, and more then ever before. Ever since I'm a LEGO pirate fan *sweet*
  22. Captain Green hair you're a true genius *y* Thanks alot for the tutorial! Are you going to expand it later to the level of the rigging of Le Requin?
  23. A Surprise sized Acheron, the perfect combination! I love that bow, one can't put the ice cube tray to better use. X-D Phred's a real genius! I see you use the 2 wide bricks now instead of the 4 wides. Looks nice, although the gray(?) looks a bit.. dead, and the black looks a bit solid. I suppose you're gonna put some ornaments in those holes?
  24. This is a whole new look on the "kick the baby" thing.. Shoot the baby!! >:-) My sisters has some belville, and yes, the Mfs can stand on studs perfectly. :-) The babies, like you said can't.
  25. Looks cool Marcos! The 3 of you used a big variety of a lot of different pieces. I wouldn't have even thought about some I think. Very clever. Complex but simple.. and yet striking! I wouldn't want to ride it though.. Can't do that to my back. X-D
